Location of this old characterful Hotel was excellent being central. Staff friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Bedrooms and bedding, clean and fresh including towels and a hairdryer in bathroom. Wonderful view onto The Ramblas watching street entertainment when in room, we paid a little extra to have this view. Free safe to the side of reception that is manned 24 hours. A locked room to leave your luggage on day of departure so that you can make the most of last minute sightseeing. Breakfast is basic continental but adequate and you may eat as much as you wish from a choice of fresh fruit, cereals, croissants, magdaline buns, toast and assorted jams, yoghurt and assorted hot drinks, (more than I put out at home)There is a couple of vending machines with drinks/snacks that are very reasonably priced and a few areas to sit and relax. Would definately stay here again as would friends we were with. The lift does not go to ground level so if one was bad at negotiating steps, especially with a suitcase, this would be a no unfortunately.

Sadly- there was a major hitch with second day Breakfast. This was a staff problem - someone was missing & I would think at least a dozen guests left without this meal. Otherwise apartm from a restriction with lifts it was a pleasant stay in a convenient situation

Very convenient to metro, main attractions and airport transport. Unfortunately the reception is up one floor and the lift starts at about the level of the tenth stair - a little harder than 70 year olds seek.

Hotel location is great. Room basis but comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, continental but not much variety. Lift only available part of the way to reception which meant carrying heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs!

My wife and I stayed in this Hotel four nights in September following a Grand Miditerranean cruise.Hotel Lloret Ramblas is a gold mine for its owners - NOTa good experience for us. The hotel offers very little in terms of confort and service. The rooms are extremely ill equipped. The breakfast is so basic that my wife and I would leave the room totally disappointed every morning. Staff is often unavailable and overworked. It is a real challenge to get your luggage to the reception as one must lug it up two floors through a very narrow stairway. The only good thing about this facility is its location right on the Rambla by Plaza Catalunya.James and Joan Oshawa, Canada. With the exception of Location, the hotel did not meet our expectations in all respects.

Location is great The fact the on the web all rooms look pretty nice and modern: I stayed in a single room and it was a totally different thing, very small, my window face to another wall with no light from outside, old- looking room. Maybe the double rooms are better but my single one is totally different than what I expected from the web, so I wouldn't pay what I paid if I know it was like this

Just what we were looking for: view of La Rambla, inexpensive, near everything in Barcelona. Metro 1/2 block away. Breakfast was included, but we didn't take advantage of this. Very basic room, but comfortable bed and even a little balcony for people watching. Didn't really want to use air conditioning unit but didn't want to leave windows open all night due to street noise and no screens (worried about bugs/bats). With windows closed, street noise was fine, but then room was a bit warm. Minor inconvenience, though. Also, hotel could have used more staff during check in/out times.

Excellent situation, La Rambla -street, near everything... Shopping, restaurants, interestig historical monuments and buildings etc. Clean, just renowated big room (even we had extra bed), breakfast included. I hope for some shelf unit near the shower E.G. where to put shampoo, soap etc.

Location is excellent. The rooms are small and in need of refurbishment and there is a lot of noise from the street below. It is necessary to haul luggage up about 10 stairs before reaching the lift which was not very reliable. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. I would describe the property as expensive backpacker accommodation.

Our room was newly renovated so the facilities and bathroom are all new. We are lucky with our room as it doesn't faces La Ramblas and thus, is quiet. The location of this hotel is excellent and very convenient. We always had to wait a long time to get the front desk to serve us. There's only 1 staff looking after the front desk and there are periods where it gets crowded and 2 staff working would be better. No elevations from ground floor to the 1st floor (reception is on 1st floor) and the stairs are very narrow.

I liked the most its fabulous location directly on La Rambla Street. You can start your day having breakfast in the balacony which overlooks the La Rambla . The staff couldn't help that much i've asked them several questions and they always say go to the internet , I know how to use the internet , so there's no need to tell me that !!! and the cleanliness of the rooms was not good enough .

Liked that it was right on Las Rambles, Barcelona. Perfect location. Small but clean. That we had to lug our heavy bags up one floor to reach the elevator-- not good for seniors with heavy bags.

The view of the Ramblas. The room was adequate - and clean - but very small, and the air conditioning, which could not be adjusted, was very noisy.

Good location. Very very small room, wihout window whichcan be opened (there is a window to the very small and dark courtyard, but you cannot open it). The climatisation is noisy and it was not possible to regulate it - when it function, it makes noise and it's very cold as the regulation of the temperature didn't function. If it is switched off, there is no air to respire.

The Hotel was in an excellent location for exploring the sights of Bacelona. However this did have its downside, as explained below. The room was an adequate size and was cleaned daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Hotel looks out onto La Rambla, which is very busy! We had problems with noise and hardly slept. Groups of people gathered on the Rambla outside the hotel and made a lot of noise; this generally went on all through the night. Visitors need to be aware that organised gangs of pick pockets and thieves work the Rambla all day long; the far end of the Rambla (about 15 mins walk from the hotel) becomes a very seedy red light area after dark. Visitors need to take great care when travelling on the Metro, especially at night. Do not carry anything that will catch the attention on the gangs of muggers who operate on the Metro system as you will almost certainly be targetted and robbed.

Excellent location for those wishing to walk in the city center, excellent connection to the airport (A1 or A2 bus - 20-30 min to Airport, one way ticket in price 5.05 EUR), small but clean rooms, good staff. small single room, but almost rather normal size double room . The hotel is not suitable for people with special needs and for "big size" people (very narrow stairs, elevator). Very modest breakfast.

The location It was chaotic - very busy - not enough staff. Our room was very small - we had ants in the bathroom and when we asked the staff to deal with it, they didn't have any ant spray or anyone to carry out the spraying. We were told to go back later. Someone had obviously been to the local shop and bought some spray, but we had to spray the room ourselves.

The hotel is situated adjacent to the Metro catalunya where to can reach all areas of Barcelona from. The Airport Bus & Metro links are also close by: the bus stop is adjacent to Placa de Catalonya (Square) and the Metro Passeig de Gracia is easily walkable if the weather is dry if not link via Metro Catalunya. We used the metro from the airport and the bus back to the airport both were good modes of transport, though the train station at the airport is a bit of a hike from the terminal. We would stay again even though the bath was half normal size. Small bath half normal sizethough shower very powerful.
