It gave us a new benchmark. From now on I can imagine that anywhere we stay that is below par, we'll just say, "But at least it is not as bad as the Petit Palace Boqueria Gaudi." Air conditioner did not work. Service was awful. No toilet paper two days, no soap or shampoo one day, hotel staff not informed at all about even location of restaurant next door, vending machine worked only a few times in seven days, etc. High-tech, non-functioning room. Shower hard to use without a tool to turn hot-cold control, bedside lights just flickered, room light controlled from far side of far bed, beds and pillows very, very basic. Minibar kept things lukewarm at best. The only reason for staying here would be the location. Very overpriced for what it is.

Lack of security, we had luggage stolen from the hotel reception while checking in, the staff did not appear to give a care about this and the feelings of the customers. The staff also comented that this was not unusual.

The location is good for getting out and about but there are plenty of other hotels to choose from in similar locations. Breakfast, No air conditioning working in the room, no double glazing although right over a street with a busy bar which is open 20 hours a day. staff not really caring.

Booked on line with bookings.com offered free cancellation. It was central to Barcelona City but wouldn't stay there again as I found the area not very nice and hotel was basic and over priced. Reception staff were not the most helpful other than 1 chap we dealt with who had lived in Ireland for some time & he was most helpful & friendly. Bedroom was very basic and room was small, I felt we paid too much for it. Staff especially the Sunday morning breakfast staff were not nice & when asked about cooked breakfast we were told there was none as they would be closing the breakfast bar in 40 minutes - I believe when open it should have all foods available not closed 40 mins before time. The only staff member who was helpful was a chap in Reception who had lived in Ireland for some time - he helped us with transport & eating out queries and listened when we complained about the breakfast also offered to store our luggage until depating for airport. Not a nice area, unfriendly staff, hotel was basic and over priced. I would not return.

The Room Type I had reserved was booked out when I arrived. They gave me a smaller room without any compensation. Super unfriendly staff. Breakfast was a joke for the money. I would not recommend this place. Typical rip off benefitting from the central location it has.

Central location of the hotel was perfect base. Hotel stylish and very clean. We had a room for 3 but it was too small. The 3rd bed was a camp bed, very uncomfortable. Need more mirrors.

The location was superb and the whole atmosphere in the hotel was lovely. We were on a site-seeing / socialising holiday and we had everything within walking distance. The room was divine considering it was for 4 adults and the staff could not have been any more helpfull. There was nothing I disliked about the hotel and would definately recommend it.

Location is great, price is great for a 4 star hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. The heater was not sufficient in heating the room, the rooms have high ceilings and the heating was placed too high for it to warm up the room. Staff were helpful in providing extra blankets, but was still cold in the room. No kettle to boil water for a morning coffee or anything, thought this would be a standard in any hotel room, especially in a 4 star.

We were traveling between Madrid and Barcelona on our trip and after we had made our booking at Boquería Gaudi, we changed our mind about what day we wanted to book our flight. It left us with a gap between our arrival and the beginning of our booking, but they added another night for us about a week before we came at the same rate as our original booking. Once we got their they continued to be extremely helpful and hospitable, allowing us to use the kitchen's glasses when we brought a bottle of wine back to the room one night. The breakfast buffet that they offered each morning was delicious, included a lot of variety, and was half the price of the one offered by the hotel we had stayed at in Madrid. Overall, it was an excellent choice that we have no regrets about.

The hotel is located 20 M from La Rambla which is a major tourist street near many of Barcelona attractions. From this aspect it is a very good and promising hotel. The internal architecture is modern and each room has Notebook with free of charge internet access. There is no coffee facility in the room or at the lobby and the bath room is not that comfort. Bottom-line - RECOMMENDED!!

Location! Could not have chose a better place to stay in Barcelona. Right in the middle of the action. Next to La Ramlas and La Boqeria Market. Walking distance to many sites. Outstanding boutique hotel.

The location was good. Clean rooms, good size. Most of the staff were helpful and attentive. Bathrooms nice and spacious and modern. Nice courtyard outside, free wi-fi was good (albeit they sell the hotel as a wi-fi hotel at any opportunity). Hotel design was generally good, if a bit try-hard. One or two staff members were poor - surprised they were at the reception desk as clients clearly annoyed them. Too long waiting to check in and out. (This was compounded by a power failure though). Never got a key to my room. Room was hot and it was hard to find the aircon to change the temp.

Suberb Location very central to everything required for a weekend or longer break!the staff and facilities where good, would come again and would defo book and stay at your other hotels in the future. The down side was on arrival, the room allocated was damp and smelly, we asked to be moved to another room and did so that afternoon I discovered on my return home that I qualified for senior discount as i'm 67 this was not deducted from my bill as the reception staff did not inform me this was available otherwise I would have asked for this discount when checking-in on the first day! Or when checking out I also discovered the free hire bikes were available for the duration of our stay...again, we were not informed of this faciity!

Was not the hotel we looked at on line. Staff was unfriendly and uneffected. Only one person to check in when we arrived, took 20 - 30 mins to check in while supervisors just look on and we were the only ones to check in when we arrived. I felt sorry for the guest that were arriving as we were finishing. No one seem to care. Rooms very cold, bath room design does not work - water all over the place. Hair dryer pined to a bottom shelf and the cord was to short, had to sit on floor to use. Had to call 3 times for more pillows, took two days. Could not get any clothes cleaned. Buffet served cold food. Lights did not work in room. The place looked like it was put together with paste and spit. Internet hotel I guess means "don't bother me"

We went to P.P.B.G. After our cruise. The staff allowed us to put our suitcases in a locked storage room when we arrived in the morning. This was very nice because we were able to take our 8 and 6 year old boys and explore Las Ramblas while we waited to check in at 2pm. The rooms were clean and staff was very helpful. The only con was the glass bathroom door. The bathroom was off to the side and the door had a foggy picture on it. We had our sons stay on the bed and watch tv when we used the shower , which worked out fine. But if you had teenagers walking in and out of the room I could see this being a problem. We had a garden facing room. No problems with noise from LasRamblas.
