Villa Emilia  

The location was perfect. We could walk to so many places and were surprised that we could even walk to the train station the day we decided to go to Girona. The boutique style and warm "feel" of the hotel was lovely, we loved the food, the delicious odor in the hallways near our room, the kindness of the staff, the food offered in the evening on the first floor, how comfortable the room was, the setup of the bathroom (and there was always hot water), and the various designs in the hotel decor.

Great location, comfortable clean room, helpful staff, lovey roof terrace.

Some issues with temperature control in the room, couldn't get it below 20 degrees. Hair conditioner and an iron in the room would be welcome as well.

Super friendly staff, comfortable beds, extremely clean, quiet location but quite central, excellant breakfasts! A perfect hotel for a city break!

Very clean, nicely decorated, good food and good bartenders. Excellent location, only one metro station away from airport bus stop (Placa Espanya) and a 3 min walk away from metro station (Rocafort). Piano evening every Thursday, free coffee and croissant every afternoon. Very nice roof garden. Bathroom products (shampoo etc) by Rituals. Really thick and fluffy towels. Good food and overall very nice atmosphere at the Zinc Bar. Good soundproofing, very quiet room. Owner very friendly, gave us a lot of tips regarding where to eat etc.

Sliding bathroom door which did not close properly, thus not offering much privacy. Some of the female bar staff were a bit lazy. Rather expensive breakfast. No slippers or bathrobes in room.

A wonderful hotel that we look forward to revisiting. Very nice location within walking distances of major points of interest. Metro is about a block away. The facility is modern and up-to-date. A great staff that always seemed to be there when needed, but not at all overbearing. The hotel Villa Emilia is a find.

Our stay was wonderful, we enjoyed everything about the hotel, there is no way really to describe how you feel once you step foot at villa emilia, it trully is a very special place wich makes you feel instantly drawn to it, the smell the design, the cleanliness and kind staff are all great reasons, the bar is wonderful as are the facilities such as the terrace and business room. we enjoyed every minute.

the walls are a bit thin and you can hear what goes on in the hallway, we asked for a room on the corner so it didnt bother us too much.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff was always friendly and so helpful, the hotel was spotless, and it was very lively, music and people in the lobby and zinc bar most of the time... A fun place. The rooftop patio was beautiful. And the location was perfect, not in the middle of the city, extremely quiet but safe neighborhood, and right a the metro. We would highly recommend it to anyone, and the comment on breakfast below would not deter us from staying here again or recommending it highly to others. This hotel deserves the accolades it gets in reviews!

We ate the breakfast buffet several times and it was wonderful, but cold, except for the eggs we could boil and toast, and we know in Barcelona breakfast isn't a big thing, but because we're Canadians, sometimes we wanted to have a hot meal in the morning...so we went out for that... It would have been nice to have a menu option for an omlette or other egg dish, and/or ham or bacon as we would have preferred eating in the hotel. But this is not a big thing, and we are in Spain!!

Rooms are noisy.

Comfortable nicely decorate rooms and hotel. Good sound isolation, no traffic noise. Good breakfast with a large variety of quality products (lower price of 10€ had to be ordered upon check-in). Good location right next to the metro station Rocafort. Nice bar and roof terrace!

Minor things: hard beds, perfumed air

Fantastic value for money, very nice rooms and loved the Zinc bar.

The location was a bit out of the way from most of the main attractions, but taking the subway or grabbing cab was no problem.

The hotel staff was helpful, kind and spoke great English, which helped with directions, recommendations, etc. The room was very clean! Finally, the hotel is conveniently located on the same block as a metro station, which is very handy for tourists!

The room and bathroom was very clean. However, we didn't get a bar of soap until half way through our visit. We had to use our body wash as hand soap, but that was a very minor detail. The beds are firm.
