Beach Hotel Dos Mares  

Beach Hotel Dos Mares er et dejligt badehotel med gode sports faciliteter (heste, tennis og kite/windsurfing). Hotellet ligger dejligt ved strand og bjerge, og her er en skøn udsigt til Afrika. Vejret var perfekt (starten af oktober), hverken for varmt eller for koldt.

De gode ydre rammer omkring hotellet opvejde de lidt mindre værelser, hvor man måske kunne ønske sig en kogeplade og mulighed for at varme vand til te eller kaffe.

Det ligger flot på stranden. Har det meste og er samtidigt overskuligt.

Location is excellent, right on the beach. Our bungalow was in very good condition, cleanliness in rooms and whole hotel is on very high level. Breakfast is nice.

Wireless internet does not cover whole territory and you have to walk from bungalow to reception to have network access.

I paid a bit more for a suite and wasn't disappointed. Amazing views, the suite was great.

We liked almost everything about this hotel. It was directly on the beach; was relatively easy to find compared to the other Spanish hotels in which we stayed and comfortable (in a 60s kind of beachy way). The staff was friendly and very helpful. If you want to take a day trip to Morocco (as we did) the ferry from Tarifa is quicker than the one from Algeciras and Algeciras is kind of a gritty city. Tarifa was much better! (I've done both)

It was still too cool to swim (March) and we only had one day to devote to this location so no time to even ride the horses on the beach. We would like to come back in the summer and stay longer.

Location, style, breakfast, parking

The location can't be beat. Having said that iwas there off season and had a fair rate. If I were there in high season and had to pay full rate I would think it was very dated The bed was excellent though. My room was number 13. Overall location is lovely

Dated.....bathroom rather than bedroom located on the beachside. Proximity to the caravan park....in general Tarifa is more pricey than the rest of Andalusia

The cottage was fantastic, big nicely furnished and clean. The location, right on the beach was wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly and the restaurant was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return some day.

Horse riding, bar lounge, tranquillo, colorful, classy, friendly staff, gorgeous....

Great hotel where we rented a small bungalow, with really well decorated room, nice beds, great shower, absolute stunning view on the sea, 10 meters form the beach, nice terrace with sun beds, chairs. Small but great restaurant with good dinner and good breakfast. Just a few miles from tarifa. Great staff.

I love Beach Hotel dos Mares, its perfect for water sports also near bouldering areas! Its not my first time and I will be going more times!

Our bungalow was large and comfortable. The breakfast was very generous and the location was beautiful, although the weather didn't permit us to fully enjoy it. Good internet service.

There was not a door for the bathroom, just a matter of taste, but we prefer a door. The windows leaked a little bit, but the wind and rain were unusually strong during our stay.

Our bungalow was fantastic...direct beach views...very casual and laid ... wish we could've stayed for longer!!!

good second appartment close to the sea.

the first two nights we were in a damp room with a leaking toilet.after that we spent two nights in a better room, but no one offered to reduse our bill !!!!!!!.

We were driving a car and wanted a location that had free parking to use as a base for day trips. We did not use Dos Mares as a resort, which is how it is intended. Came in late first night and had dinner at restaurant - it was a good meal. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Since we had a car and needed the parking, our bungalow was close to the horse stables. The smell was quite off putting so we could not open our windows.

Great view of the beach and wind surfers, good breakfast

Area is so windy during the day it is almost impossible to be out we had a small bungalow and therer was a " swinging saloon half door" on the bathroom that offered little, if any privacy. ( very strange ). hotel is a $10 taxi from the town

Great location for kitesurfing and horse riding. Bungalow was excellent. Good quality restaurant and friendly staff

The surroundings

Very cold room with little or no comfort. I chose the wrong hotel for me. At the price I paid it was expensive but there could have been three in my room making it reasonable

Beautiful spot on the beach out of the way of the city, nice pool, nice view of the ocean.

It was lovely, we had two lovely breakfasts and the dinners both night were very good. The staff in the dining room were excellent.

Nothing we did not like

Wow!! chill out hotel on the beach near Tarifa. Loved the restaurant/pool and bean bags! And what a beach. No wind when we were there!! My rating: 9.6

Room a bit dark for reading and the back bungalows look out on the car park!

Excellent location directly at the beach, lots if plants, nice design of hotel and facilities and great food.

The room was well below standards, we arrived on a cold, rainy (i know, very unusual for Tarifa) day and the room was freezing cold as the aircon was left on running all the time. There were a few dead bugs on bathroom floor, window did't close because of broken mechanism and hot water finished half way through the first person shower because of tiny boilers in each room. Toilet was leaking leavin a wet flor, some things on the welcome list were not present in the room and when all of this was reported to the reception the answer was - "OK, that happens". Unbelievable!! In addition there was no light in the room alart from 2 tiny bed lamps. It's a shame that hotel staff is so ignorant and room maintenance virtually does not exist because the location and overall design of the place is really nice.

The open air breezy views of the beach from every window and patio. The beanbag chairs outside. The kitty cats. The horses. Watching the kite surfers.

The food isn't great. They turned off the sidewalk lights at night, and I almost fell down the stairs when I had to get up before sunrise. The wi-fi is only in the bar.
