The owner was just great! He helped us at all we needed: getting to the hotel, exploring arcos (he gave us a map with all the sites and restaurants). Also, the hotel is beautiful- the room was great, clean and exactly like the pictures. The breakfast was good as well.

Exceeded our expectations. Amazing view from our room and the rooftop terrace. Clean, modern room and bathroom within a quaint house. Well-designed and furnished. The owners clearly have good taste. Good breakfast. Coffee-making facilities. Buy a bottle of wine from the bar, have it on the terrace and enjoy having nothing to do in a very beautiful place.

Nothing at all. If you have a lot of luggage, consider transferring what you need to a smaller bag. It will be easier to bring it up to the house.

    Absolutely everything!

The wifi was dropped out sometimes when we were staying on the top floor. Just a tiny bit annoying.

Wonderful location in the heart of Arcos with an absolutely stunning view from our superior room and the roof terrace as well. A unique experience to get there by car on the narrow streets of this lovely white town. You can park your car 300m further down the road for free. Minimalist, almost sparse decor that truly matches the atmosphere of the surroundings, at the same time very modern with good air-con and wifi. All sights within walking distance. Very friendly, helpful hosts with great attention to detail and excellent English spoken. Good breakfast prepared in front of you by the hosts themselves, almost family-like. There is a small kitchenette for common use including a minibar (with friendly prices) and useful accessories (hairdryer etc).

A bit hard to get your luggage up the stairs, but we did get help from our host. Be prepared for some rooster crowing in the morning, but that only adds to the atmosphere (and you will find earplugs in the kitchenette) :)

Amazing place with an amazing view. Loved the caretakers! Great recommendations for dinner. A highlight of our travels in Spain!

We were worried about driving to the B & B so we parked in the parking in the main square and took a taxi. So glad we did! The roads are very challenging!

Uko was a wonderful host and talked us into town on his cell phone to direct us to nearby parking. The walk up to the B&B is not for the faint of heart but we made it relatively easily with little luggage and a mildly complaining 7 year old. The B&B is right in the heart of the town but still quiet and has an incredible view of the valley below. We had the lower level "family suite" which offered a nice separation between kid and adult sleeping quarters. The breakfast was excellent and substantial. I highly recommend it.

The lower level room smelled slightly of the drainage system but wasn't too bad if we kept the bathroom door closed.

Host extremely welcoming and helpful. We had the top room that had a fantastic view. Great roof terrace. Good breakfast. Would strongly recommend it as a place to stay in Arcos and it is very good value.

Don't attempt to drive. Leave the car outside the walls of the old town and walk or bus up. Our room at the top of the house would be inaccessible for those who cannot manage difficult steps.

Super facilities in totally renovated traditional house in the old town. Discounted parking outside old town, with 5 euro taxi ride to B&B. Super atmosphere, relaxing, peaceful stay. B&B staff friendly and informative. Breakfast super and great value.

Clear instructions to get to B&B provided but complicated street layout a nightmare to negotiate. Taxi fare cheap and well worth it! Let someone else take the strain!

We had a beautiful suite on ground floor. Everything had been thought of, beautifully decorated. Staff couldn't have been more helpful & friendly. Had a large window that we watched the sunrise from. Loved it!

This is a really lovely place to stay. Uko was great to us throughout the stay. We had a very warm welcome, he talked us through the local area and gave us a good selection of local restaurants to choose from. It is in a good location to see the town and has a great view from the roof top terrace. The breakfast was really nice and the wifi connection was really good.

We only spend one night in Uko's beautiful B&B, but wish we could stay longer. Case el Sueno is a very charming place with a great rooftop terrace, it is very well located as well, which was so convenient. As for Uko, the owner, he has been very welcoming, telling us about all the good spots and preparing us a very nice breakfast. We will definitely come back !

Uko and Lieve are great hosts. Uko went beyond the call of duty for friends of mine who had car troubles one night. Uko drove me into Jerez since he was going anyway, saving me a bus ride. Uko sat with us for the first 30 mins upon arrival to write down place to eat and drink. Arcos is a great little town and I highly recommend spending some days there.

Uko was an excellent host, who actually wrote out very detailed directions to get to the bnb. He is friendly and speaks great English. Our cave room was beautiful and comfortable. with a huge window overlooking the valley. The breakfast was delicious, filling and complete with eggs, yogurt, fruit, cheese. Thank you so much Uko for all your kindness and patience in helping us have a delightful stay in Acros. We would welcome you in Boston.

    Everything was absolutely great.

Uko, the host, was great. Friendly, helpful (suggestions for dinner, driving routes, other villages to visit, etc.) He even picked us up at the parking lot saving us the inconvenience of taking a taxi or bus to the B&B. The casa is very unique, interesting, and well designed and our room was simple yet well appointed with a breathtaking view over the lake.

Everything & the owner Uke even parked our car for us after retrieving it from a nearly inaccessible parking spot we were helped to by the very friendly locals. One thing we did wrong was to not check our email from Uke (we had no connection) because he explained where to drive & park in the email - would have saved some years lost thru stress while driving via gps to the uphill then downhill narrow-enough-to-need-to-pull-in-both-side-mirrors road. But fun experience & Uke's very generous & easy going welcome made it one of our favorite stops - would definitely go back & stay here (after reading Uke's email). View from room absolutely breathtaking - watching the sheepherder taking his flock out over the bridge (with no rails) down below. More than made up for no TV! Only wish we had stayed more than one day - if we had only known. Wonderful rooftop terrace with stunning view & even worth being up there in the windy conditions.

    Having to leave.

If you travel regularly you don’t need a checklist to figure out if the place you visit is going to be worthwhile. No, when we entered Casa El Sueño, we realized that the delicate balance between a personal approach, an astonishing view and an authentic residence would be one of those places to remember while stuck in traffic on the way to work.

What a great B&B. The location was perfect to attend the Arcos de la Frontera live nativity event. We parked at the public parking garage at Plaza Espana for 10 euro (normally 15 euro for 24 hrs, but we received a discount as guests at Casa El Sueno). We received detailed instructions by email from our hosts at Casa El Sueno regarding where to park and directions were excellent, including letting us know that the streets in old town are very narrow and that our gps would not likely get us directly to Casa El Sueno because it would not recognize one way and narrow streets. We took a taxi for 6 euro as the walk from the parking garage to Casa El Sueno seemed further and steeper than we wanted to try. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance of Casa El Sueno. The recommendations for restaurants were great and we had a wonderful variety of tapas. We stayed in a top floor room, La Vista with a huge window and a view of the lake and mountain that was incredible. The bathroom had a tub and shower. The bedding included a down comforter and a comfortable mattress and pillows. Heat was adjustable in the room and adequate for a cold night. We really enjoyed breakfast with fresh orange juice, toast, ham and cheese, and pastries. There was also yogurt, fresh fruit, etc, all included in the price and served in a lovely room by our very friendly and helpful hosts. The extra touches included a small area near our room where coffee and tea could be made anytime and you could purchase water and wine stocked in a small refrigerator. We would definitely return to Casa El Suena.

The stairs to the top were steep and if you have any disability, I would ask for a different room. It was no problem for us as we had little luggage to deal with for a one night stay and it was pretty neat to climb the turret like steps to get such a great view.

The view. It is magisterial and fascinating. You do look down upon the backs of flying birds. The host. Uko and his assistant were gracious, helpful and informative. The breakfast was ample and tasty. Sleeping. Looking out of an open window from your bed upon the river and valley and the stars. Wandering the winding streets and letting yourself get a little bit lost. Discovering the different, the interesting, the odd. Watching cars and the local bus navigate the impossibly narrow streets.

Trying to drive to the hotel. Don'T. Park and take the bus or a taxi.
