Location, location, location. The room was basic but clean, nothing to complain and the price per night is very fair.
I would prefere some fresh vegetables and some varieties of cheese for breakfast (as I don't eat meat).
Very conveniently located hotel next to the Guggenheim.
In desperate need of a face lift and injection of life and colour.
Hotel is almost perfect. Very good location close to the old city and the Guggenheim. Rooms are very comfy and have a nice design.
Don't take the rooms with an 8 (108, 208, etc...) They give on a back wall and the windows are opaque. You can't see through, a bit claustrophobic.
Bad smell in the bathroom
limpio y bien situado
La recepción... no eran simpáticos...
Nice location, neighbouring Calatrava's bridge and not far from Guggenheim Bilbao.
Although we had a valid reservation confirmation from booking.com at check-in the friendly but unexperienced receptionist (female) had a problem finding our reservation. When called for support the chief receptionist (male) was rather unhelpful and acting arrogantly. He actually threatened to cancel our reservation and to deny us a hotel room. Unpleasant moments after a long day of travel...
Helpful staff, pleasant room, secure parking, good breakfast
We loved everything about this hotel. It is brilliantly situated, opposite the river from the Guggenheim, but right next to the bridge that leads into the old city. It is near everything in Bilbao. The staff are super friendly and efficient and the rooms are comfortable and modern. They offer a buffet breakfast, but are also happy to let you have a quick coffee before you set out. This hotel is reall a find!
Good location. Convenient to get to main attractions in town. With a nice restaurant providing delicious food at reasonable price.
Good place, near the museum Guggeneheim, clean, confortable!
nice design and atmosphere, close to guggenheim and in front of the calatrava bridge, good internet connection
the parking is quite expensive. We left our car on the street where it is free during the weekend but it is hard to find a free lot. The breakfast is a little expensive as well. We prefered their cafeteria where you pay what you eat and we were not sorry
Staff were very helpful. The location was perfect. The room wsa spotless. Couldn't have been ahppier.
The location was good but that was about all.
The staff were disinterested and had difficulty with English. Our room was internal had no view and was like sleeping in a cellar. Menus were in Spanish only making food choice difficult. There is a very good English guide book "Bilbaoguia" which should be given to every English speaking tourist on arrival. The only thing it lacks is information on public transport. Breakfast was appalling even by Spanish standards & the sign that "food was not to be removed from the breakfast area under any circumstances" was indicative of the hospitality this place offered. Wifi blocked Viber and other programs & was slow & unstable.
Walking distance to Guggenheim - that's it!
We had to change travel plans at last moment due to lost airline bag. When we tried to notify the hotel the staff were unhelpful - we were just told to call back the next morning when there might be someone at the desk who could communicate in English. When we did arrive the next evening, the restaurant and bar closed early (unusually for Spain) and we are told the front door would be locked at 10 pm. Room was comfortable enough but small and drably decorated in dark brown, with noise from other guests passing in the corridor. Very difficult to obtain any useful information from desk staff about directions, moving round the city etc. We were glad to leave having found the management and staff rigid and distant, impervious to our needs. This establishment does not deserve patronage.
The staff was not friendly and very polite. There was no parking space when I arrived (of course I had booked it just the same day) and the alternatives where not very comfortable (very narrow parking by another hotel). The room and the hotel seems old, not very nice decoration. Bad internet connection, maybe because of the BBK festival (too many people) that was on those days. No sound proof at all! Very loud until late at night. I think I payed too much, not good values for money.
Location and friendliness of staff
The hotel is close to the new area around the Nervion river (including the Guggenheim museum as well as to the old town. It is simple, but the rooms are large, clean and comfortable, and the staff is veryand kind. Very good the quality/price ratio.
Great location by the river. In front of the pedestrian bridge so easy access to the other margin with walking distance to the museum.
Great location, helpful staff.
WiFi connection was a bit slow.
Helpfulness at the front desk.
Parking was a problem.
Great location-perfect to visit the museum. Friendly ,helpful staff.Excellent facilities. No complaints
Extremely close to walk to the Guggenheim, and enjoyed the restaurant next door. We had local specialities. We didn't need to move the car, parked right outside. Staff were helpful, and good English speakers.
the location was excellent: near the casco viego with its wide variety of eateries, and also just a 5-7 minute walk to Ledesma street with its multiple tapas places (check out Visenta--wow for tapas) and lounges, bars, and sit-down restaurants; and then just across the river and its pedestrian bridge is the Guggenheim--what more do you want from a clean, reasonably priced hotel!
the rooms varied in size. we stayed twice at the hotel; one room was very small, and the other had more space, but it was along the walkway and got a bit noisy at times. Still, despite these shortcomings, overall this is a very good place to stay for the price and quality.
clean, location, business like
windows covered with material (no view out of the view), breakfast so so
