the friendliness of the staff, very willing to assist
Our son's flat was 800 yards away, just across the fountain. Perfect. Room Ten was good value, reception spoke good English, huge bed (twins together) free WiFi. Tea/coffee free if you asked for it (sometimes available by room service) or if you ordered at the bar as a resident. If you are up early get a quick cheap breakfast here on your way out, if not get one in town (eg Café at Calle de Dr Cortez does full English? but their dunking donut things were good) Use Bilbao Metro station as its on a better line and you don't have to change tubes quite so much. Don't pay for airport transfers, the tube is fast and quick (get single-person ten trip tickets, but allow for the extra 'trip' required at the airport.
The idiot in the room above clomping about in heels late at night. Madrid nightlife only starts at midnight?!
Room was well soundproofed, having double, double glazing. Room and bedding clean and bed comfortable. The Reception staff in the main spoke some English and they were helpful. The continental breakfast supplied (as extra cost) was provided by a very helpful and courteous man and the restaurant was in the cellar and was frequented by local people - which is usually a good indication that the food is good & reasonably priced. Hotel well placed for the metro - this being about one street away.
I would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room The parking in Madrid in general is dire..(as is the Traffic which eases slightly around noon). There is a parking area about 300 metres along the road and is located under a delightful square where there are restaurants. That is the good bit but the costs are around 1 euro per hour which is paid by machine on exit
Location and staff.
Quiet location, my room had a terrace
Very meager breakfast, small room, has a very small entrance which makes taxis to block the road while getting off at the hotel
Close to metro Good wifi
Size of the bed I had to ask for changing the bed linen cause it was dirty Breakfast is poor A night for 90euro was not worth it
Cleanliness Helpfulness Good room size
Possibly more choice at breakfast
The hotel is located in the charming chimberi district of Madrid. Lots of good quality bars, restaurants and very close to the metro for trips to the tourist areas. Receptionists were efficient and helpful. I will stay again
The room safe costs €1 every time you use it! Costs add up if you have a lot of cash/documents to keep safe.
I liked that we were walking distance to two different metro lines. I loved the staff; they were all so kind, thoughtful and helpful! They accommodated to our every need - literally - and always with a smile :). For example we were able to use the cafeterias' fridge a lot of the times to keep some food we bought. The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday which was great! The cleaners are also very friendly and smiley. The hotel is also walking distance (15 mins) from the canal swimming pool which is where we spent our lazy days :P The hotel is walking distance from nice bars in the area -malasaña - which was convenient :) For anyone that is a religious jew, this hotel is super close to Chabad, the synagogue, a kosher restaurant, two kosher stores (they're kind of bare but ok) and a bakery that sell kosher bread. Also you are a few metros away from an el cort englais that have a nice kosher section :) Moreover, the hotel is aware of things like not being able to touch electricity so you have this card holder you put in the room throughout shabbat. The room has normal keys and they open for you the automatic front doors which was very useful! I seriously have no complaints and will definitely come back to this hotel again when I visit !!
cleanliness and location.
I know it is not a custom but I would have liked to have small wash towel in bathroom small thing
the location, and the staff, small but clean room
Matteress being wornout and feel the spring
free internet helpful staff
toilet did not hold water leading to sewer smell Room was small Low quality bed No water or other condiments
Location close to metro stations and in good neighbourhood. Staff very helpful.
Nice light and spacious room. Just right for a couple of nights. Good value for price.
The noise from the room above us
Clean modern. Helpful staff in reception
Bar/restaurant. Bar. the barman seemed to give his mates free tapas. None for me though. Breakfast, disorganised. supposed to be a buffet but had to ask for nearly everything
It was a really good hotel to stay in during my business trip to Madrid. The staff was so kind, and everything was clean and correct.
Location was good.Staff where friendly and spoke good english.
I have stayed at very many Best Westerns this one was mediocre. Keys had your room number on it so if you where mugged the perpetrator would have easy access to your room. They should have electronic pass entry. The room I was in was very tight quarters. I would rate 6.5
Goed hotel en ontbijt. Leuk deel van Madrid
Nothing to Like for real
1- Their Policy , they don't give your passport back until you returned room key even though you make your payment of room. 2- Guy at reception was smelling Alcohol , I had to keep one meter distance 3- Room is too small even for one person 4- Room window is facing to wall. When you open window , You can smell stinky air that come from kitchen or something like that
the location was good very easy for the metro ,the staff were very obliging helpful ,breakfast was a bit boring but eh ,plenty of rolls ,croissants ,coffee ,orange juice etc: the room was fine bed good ,comfy.
You should be embarrased. My room was a bed closet. You had to move furniture to walk around the bed. If your mother knew you charged people for these rooms, she would be ashamed. Never again. Any Best Western, in any country
Well-run, clean and excellent location away from tourist hordes and grunge but easy to get around from. Close to relaxing local bars and restaurants.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.ıt was really a very pleasent hotel
Very basic hotel, small rooms, beds were fairly comfortable. Basic breakfast.
