Street noise, sound proofing not that greatevn on the eight floor. Lifts are on the small side.
Unfortunately the gym was out of action due to a leak from a water tank on the roof. This happened on 4th Nov 2014 the day before I arrived and the gym was closed for the entirety of my stay. :-(
Location was excellent Staff very helpful especially manager at breakfast. Breakfast was great including juices, cereal, bacon, eggs, tea, coffee toast. Great choice and fantastic value as included in deal
Bedroom a bit small, but that's being very harsh!
Room temperature control.
Excellent location, friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Clean room.
There was a strange smell in the room. The room was really basic, not very cosy. Didn't correspond at all with the photos on the website. The carpet in the corridor was very dirty.
The location was good
During booking i selected 4 star hotels and this did not in any way stand to 4 star status. It was more towards 2 to 3 star status.
Off the Gran via this hotel was a little gem. Rooms are pretty small but I wasn't too fussed about that. Location was great, next too everything you could want... Very close to puerto del sol, nice restaurants and all the shops on gran via. Breakfast was decent too.
Location and facilities
Location is perfect. Breakfast was good. The staff is helpful and friendly.
The hotel is a bit worn (carpets, and other). No coffee pot in the room.
The location is in the center, you can walk in any tourist spots. The staff are nice, room is clean, bfast is ok. The room given to us is nice and big and has a veranda overlooking the street of Granvia.
The hotel reception is small, elevator is very small.
Location and cleanliness
One of the staff who was on at the front desk Oct 11 2014 did not give us right information about taking train going to Barcelona . He sent us to Chamartin which is suppose to be at Atocha renfe. Also on our check out we ask a favor to the one who is on duty at the front desk to call a taxi for us , he refused and stated that we have to go to gran via yo get one .
a bit noisy
Excellent location and very quiet despite being so close to the Grand Via.
It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. These were brought straight away when requested but not not replenished each day. This should be standard in a 4* hotel.
the staff could have been more friendly and helpful
Location is very good Room is spacious Well cleaning
The bed is only 20 cm from the floor. Food is scarce in the last 30 minutes to finish breakfast time, so be early if you want to eat.

The location The room was quiet Reception staff friendly and helpful
Small pokey reception area. Tiny wedge shaped lifts. Corridor carpets worn and dirty which gives a very poor first impression. They need changing. Small miserable bedroom at back of hotel. Dark and claustrophobic. Limited view. Bath enamel rusting along edges, mouldy grout, peeling bathroom wallpaper, soap dispensers rather than nice toiletries. Old style tv. Maybe cheap, but definitely not cheerful. Needs an extensive refurbishment.
It's the 4th time I've stayed at the hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They do a hot buffet breakfast for around 8 euros. Great value for money.
Location is perfect and price is reasonable.
Breakfast is to expensive. Some personnal al rest. are too nasty.
Quiet sleep, comfortable bed, impressive breakfast, close to palace.
TV looks a bit old fashion. No boiler for hot water.
The hotel industry worldwide has changed. But these guys are still sleeping. Room was that small and furniture was arranged in a way that I couldn't even open my suitcase. Going into or out of the shower is a thing which a regular over 50 year old would not manage. Wallpapers quite old and damaged. Bed small. The old fashioned TV though is quite big for the room size and takes a lot of space away of that tiny room. As does also the quite huge mini bar. Don't know what was in there. It was locked. Just took away even more space of that tiny room. Safe you can use only with credit card. That means that first you have to own one and second you can't put it into the safe. Cause you need it to open and close the door. I don't know why a 4 digit code is not good enough for these hotel. I just hope I will not be charged for the use of the safe. Couldn't find any socket to charge my phone, so I had to charge it in the bathroom. I can stay in a hotel like this anytime. But do I really have to pay 120 Eur for that discomfort? I will avoid this hotel chain wherever possible.
Very nice and friendly staff, helping out with everything. The location, close to Gran Via only 10 meters away was perfect, close to everything, Puerta del Sol, Prado and more. Breakfast was quite acceptable although not exactly what I am used to get at other Best Western hotels.
My singleroom with window to back yard was not exactly what I wanted but acceptable. Access to free wireless internet for only one unit required a new user name and password every 24 hours. I was there 10 nights with four different units so this could have had a better solution for me. No free water was unexpected.
