We didn't realize that we wouldn't be able to drive to the hotel. We were arriving at about 8:00 pm, and the tiny streets were closed off to cars because of the pedestrian traffic. After spending way too long trying to get to the place, we called and were told to park in a public lot a few blocks away. This wasn't that big a deal, but we did have a lot of luggage to drag around and were pretty worn out. Not the hotel's problem, but just an FYI.
This was right in the heart of the old part of Bilbao, with great restaurants and loads of nightlife right outside the door.
The front desk staff were very friendly and we appreciated their English skills.
