Good location and helpful staff. Rooms were well kept and clean.

Buffet breakfast is a bit of an exaggeration!

24 h reception. Location at the edge of old town was great, and tram goes nearby in which you can get almost anywhere in the city. Also Metro stop is just about 150 metres away. Staff was nice.

Almost only spanish spoken in the reception, but everything could be handled ;-) Breakfast included only coffee, juice, toast, butter and jam.

Great little pension. Host quite welcoming and made her best efforts to explain everything although not speaking much English, which wasn't a problem. The room was a bit on the small side but quite clean and quiet with a window overlooking the courtyard. Free wifi was quite fast.

As we'd read in other reviews, the entrance is not signed, which was a bit difficult when arriving at night. At least a sign for which buzzer to press would be useful. As mentioned in other reviews breakfast wasn't the best.The self catering aspect is perfectly fine, they even still cleaned the dishes E.T.c but definitely could be improved by offering better products and greater variety. There is also room for improvement in the bathroom. It would be great to have hand soap, had to use the little sachets of shower gel provided instead. The shower curtain was ineffective, no matter how it was arranged water still flowed out onto the bathroom floor. There was also nowhere to put things in the shower which was impractical and could be improved upon. On the whole, the negatives are quite minor issues, we had a great stay in Bilborooms.

The room was really fancy and spacious.

Of all the hotels I stayed in Europe, this was the only one that didn't have soap. When I asked for it at the reception, the lady told me they simply didn't have it. She told me to use the shower gel! The bathroom was not cleaned, there was hair all over the bathtub.

Pensiones not hotel ....Clean/Roomy/White & light refurbished decor/polished board floors - french windows to atmospheric inner city streetscape... budget but clean tidy and very friendly homey staff helpful but not English speaking......historic entry from walking street..- up one flight... ... didn't see a lift......

Not easy to find.... took us about 20 mins. driving around .....no parking (but parking avail. in underground car park within 5 mins. walk)...... this needs to be explained on website....( they need to give address of car park/price Euros 17 overnight) to save time.........suggest incorporate map on confirmation download printsheet........need to fix shower which was a disappointment and did not run well.

The location is perfect.

The beds are not very comfortable and if you ask for a double bed they just put two small beds asides. The breakfast was very sad. White bread, jam, milk, butter, fake orange juice, corn flakes. That's it.

Helpfull and friendly staff. Clean modern room and bed linen.

Great location in the centre of the old quarter (casco viejo). Room quite sparse but comfortable with an excellent double bed and a very adequate bathroom. No view but at least this meant that our rear-facing room was quiet and peaceful. All staff were cheerful and obliging. A well-run small hotel that provides outstanding value for money. Would certainly stay again.

The room did not have the promised hairdryer in the bathroom and the breakfast choice was very limited. At the price we payed - E50 per night - one could hardly complain, however. The hotel has literally dozens of tiny bars and cafes within a few minutes walk.

This is not a hotel. It is a converted first floor apartment in a dismal old apartment block shared with other residents. There was no name on the street door to identify that the rooms even exist, so it took some time to find. Private car parking was confirmed but only the public parking that we had already managed to find was available. The booking confirmation claimed a balcony but the room opened onto a small atrium overlooked by other apartments, and due to a lack of air conditioning it proved impossible to keep the room cool and maintain privacy. The receptionist was very friendly but spoke no English at all. The room opened directly on to the reception hallway and we were disturbed by other guests coming and going, and by the receptionist walking back and forwards. The bed had a very thin mattress on a solid base and we woke several times during the night in pain. The breakfast alcove had only two tables. We tried four times to take breakfast which eventually proved to be a non event of coffee and juice (admittedly both good) and some sort of rusk. Checked out of the hotel after only one night of the intended three but couldn't communicate well enough with the lady on reception to complain.

In the middle of the old town.

Cannot drive to hotel as it is a pedestrian only street. So I parked 500 metres away at 16 euros a day and walked with my cases to the hotel which is not sgned well. The woman on check in could not find my booking even though there are only a few rooms. I had to take her paper from here to show her my booking. All that took at least 15 minutes. In the room there was a very small shower basin and the advertised toiletry pack was 1 small sachet of bath lotion only. No hairdryer and the tv did not work. Breakfast was a joke. The hotel is surrounded by good bakeries. Why not bring in some fresh bread instead of the dry crispbreads supplied or say no breakbast included? Otherwise food was minimal aand you had to search through the fridge for some items as there was no one to serve. On the second morning there were no spoons to be found at all. I recommend you find a nice hotel just out of town and use the parking fees saved to use the cheap tube system to get around town.

Poor breakfast.Since the room was just beside the reception,it was a little bit noisy.

Location in the Casco Viejo was great,easy to get to Metro,city centre,Guggenheim.The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was not good but for the price we paid it was adequate.However lots of places close by to chose from and not expensive so I would not pay for an inclusive breakfast given a choice.

No parking facilities by hotel as the hotel is located on a no drive in street. difficult to locate as GPS can't locate. Have to use the public parking facilities in town a 16.60 Euro night.There is no sign for Bilborooms on the building or in the street, only nr 3.

The staff were lovely, really helpful and friendly. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was great. Comfy beds and lovely feather pillows - makes such a differece. Great location - near to the action but not too noisy and crowded.

The location was very good and the room was lovely and clean and the bathroom was very nice and the shower was great.

We were given room 4 which is right beside reception, therefore really noisy. I even had to get out of bed one night to ask the girl on reception and some guy she was chatting to, to lower their voices as we couldn't sleep.
