Sitting in the Liendo Valley, just 300 metres from the beach, the Bisabuela Martina has a swimming pool, play areas and free onsite parking. It is just 30 minutes from both Bilbao and Santander. All of the rooms in the Bisabuela Martina have bathroom, TV and radio. Each room is individually decorated, and many have views of the Liendo Valley. The guesthouse has a lounge with a fireplace, sofas and board games. The guesthouse also has large gardens, where you will find the swimming pool. The Bisabuela Martina can be found in Cantabria. Good location, beautiful house, and friendly owner/manager. Our room had a lovely view over the Liendo valley, and the price was reasonable. It's even accessible via public transportation (bus from Santander or Laredo), though it's much easier if one has a car. The breakfast was very simple (juice, coffee, tea, and a selection of bread/toast), which was a bit disappointing, though perhaps that's typical.

The owner was friendly and helpful. It is in a quiet location with scenic walks on the door step. Nearby Laredo has a long sandy beach but the resort is not very appealing due to the lack of character caused by the 70's style concrete buildings. The hotel is perfect for both Santander and Bilbao with both being around 30 mins drive away.

Ein schönes altes Haus mit tollem Ambiente, ganz ruhig gelegen und wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Zimmer war klein, aber mit allem versehen, was man brauchte, viele schöne Details und ein kleiner Balkon. Kleines und sehr sauberes Bad, mit allem ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, gab viele gute Tipps. Gutes Frühstück mit prima Toast. Auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen. Un Hotel muy bonito, lindo Ambiente y situado en un lugar muy tranquilo. La habitación pequenia, pero con todo lo necesario y con muchos detalles muy simpáticos y con balcon. El Sr. de la casa, muy amable y gentil, dando concejos e información al la zona y para el viáje. Un desayuno muy bueno y agradable. Resumiendo, muy recomendable

La propia posada, el jardín lleno de especies aromaticas que tiene, el entorno es espectacular y, además, a 5 min andando hay una preciosa calita (San Julian) entre grandes acantilados. El dueño es muy agradable y atento.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, ideal wenn man etwas Ruhe haben will. Der Strand (ca. 10 min) ist wunderschön und sehr leer (Ende Juli !!!). Die Hotelzimmer sind sauber und für den Preis sehr gut! Das Frühstück ist okay für den Preis, sollte man auf jedenfall mitnehmen, da es in Liendo nur ein Geschäft gibt (ca. 2 km vom Hotel). Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederhinfahren, allerdings dann mit dem Auto (siehe Kritik). Ein Auto ist definitiv zu empfehlen, wir sind mit den Langstreckenbussen von alsa nach Laredo gefahren und von dort aus ist es ein ganz schönes Stück bis Liendo (ca. 2 h Fussweg). Es gibt zwar auch Busse (ca. 15 min bis Laredo und als wir da waren 1,40 € P.P. und Fahrt), die fahren aber nur 3-4 mal täglich. In Liendo selber gibt es nur sehr wenig, nur ein Tante-Emma Laden und 2 Restaurants die okay sind.

La última señalización: como comentamos, el último indicador antes de llegar te dirige a la playa y no al hotel, quizás sería suficiente con ponerlo un par de metros más abajo

Nice location, nice house, sunny and quiet. The swimming pool is small, but really enjoyable. Our room was a bit noisy, right next to the stair, with a low quality bed also not smelling very fresh. Also, the check-in/out is way too long, probably due to a very slow computer/broadband connexion.

Ein kleines familiäres Hotel in herrlicher Umgebung mit einer wunderbaren Bucht hinter der nächsten Bergkuppe. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und liegt am Rande eines schönen Dorfes in den Bergen. Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Bien ubicado para visitar Bilbao, Santander, Laredo, Santoña etc. Casa de reciente construccion, decoracion agradable, en una zona sin ruidos junto a la montaña y el mar. Las habitaciones no estan bien insonorizadas. En el desayuno ademas de dulces cafe y zumo, se podria incluir algo de fiambre (queso, jamon york). Hace un poco de frio en las habitaciones.

Sitio precioso, rural y apartado de cualquier ruido. Piscina. Wifi gratis. La tele, anclada en el techo, era incomodísimo verla. Se echa de menos una terracita en la habitación. Demasiado oscuro por la noche, peligro de muerte con algunas escaleras. Que no admitan mascotas.
