Lovely, helpful staff Room was big with clean, brand new bathroom Central Location Good breakfast Owner replied to all of my questions before my stay
We extended a few nights and were accommodated. It is a good location for walking around but quite a walk to the metro. The owner was very nice.
We had to change rooms and in the second room the windows open into a closed cemented area that smelled of sewer gas. Once we put the fan and air conditioner on though, the air got better. Best to request a room that opens to the terrace.
Great location. Lovely bedroom setting and we loved breakfast here. Shared bathroom wasn't too bad. It is as well-equipped and clean as 4 stars hotels.
It was indicated in the booking that arrival after 10pm will be charge for 20Euros. As this hostel is part of rented apartment, the reception time is up to 9pm daily. But we arrived around 9.30 pm and couldn't get in. I had no phone or internet connection to check that hotel staff emailed to ask us about arrival time on the day at 3pm. Thanks to the lady at the restaurant next door to call the staff for us. As soon as we could get in, the rest was fine. The staff was helpful.
Everything clean friendly cosy well located
Friendly and clean.
A haven of tranquility just 20 mins walk from the main sites of casa mila and casa bario- staff especially jordi , so helpful . Jordi made sure we knew about the changing to daylight saving time and then double checked that e had remembered the next day so we wouldn't miss our airport transport. Has a wonderful cocktail bar across the rd aswell. Everything perfect and great value for money
so clean and fresh, staff very very helpful could not ask for more !! owner such a nice honest person who went out of her way to help us. would definitely return again.
Not a lot really ? you do need a chair in your room ( as we discussed ) A better variety of fruit as allergic to apples !! , but my fault for not saying so. would like fresh tomatoes with different flavoured cheeses .
This is an absolutely lovely guesthouse! It's very clean and cosy, staff is really welcoming and ready to share their knowledge of the city. I had pretty high expectations of this B&B as I read a lot of good reviews beforehand, but it was far better than expected. I liked eating breakfast on. the tranquil terrace. Beautiful experience indeed, will definitely come back.
The only downside is the non-existent soundproofing.
Great location, and extremely nice personnel.
very cleaning and the breakfest good
Stylish designed rooms with good size bed and high standards cleanliness. Helpful staff provided great advise on what and when to visit in Barcelona. Quick and easy access to public transportation for main attractions. Delicious breakfast.
As for all hotels close to city center, even though located on a street with less traffic, it was still too noisy to sleep with windows opened during night. As well, near our room was located the communal bathroom for the non-en-suite rooms. Other guests were not very considerate and starting 6 a.m. almost every morning people going to the communal bathroom were chatting, laughing loud and slamming the doors so sleep was not too comfortable after 6 a.m. This depends on what other guests are staying at the guest house and I believe it's not the guesthouse's fault.
This is an amazing guest house. Staying in room 7, we had an impeccably clean room, a double bed that was actually king-sized and had a soft sheets and a good mattress (firm but not hard), good A/C, and a very modern bathroom that looked recently renovated. The continental breakfast was satisfying. The staff was helpful: they printed tickets for us, and they gave amazing restaurant recommendations (without pushing particular places as some hotels did), and the Wi-Fi was the best of any place we stayed in Spain. While the room could have used a chair, instead of a beanbag object, this is a B&B: it's not a place you go to spend hours watching television; it's a peaceful and welcoming gateway to Barcelona. And with its 20-30 minute walk to all of the old city, the (Gaudí) Park Güell, and the Sagrada Familia, it's actually more centrally located than the more touristy neighborhoods of the old city, while also being quieter (and lacking tourists.) Despite being difficult to tell for travelers not acquainted with Barcelona, the neighborhood is very mixed residential and commercial and seems very safe (imagine a Barcelona version of Park Slope.) You are getting much more comfort and service for the room price here, than in any hotel in "central" old city (where we also stayed later in the trip, because Blanc was full.) We had no issues with noise from other guests, despite its being a small B&B. With a private room, it's effectively a hotel in terms of noise and interaction with other guests.
The whole experience was lovely.
Complimentary bottles of water in the room would be handy.
I stayed at Blanc Guesthouse for a single night before boarding a cruise ship. My experience in getting to BCN was a trying one - my original flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues, and I was re-routed to another airlines with three connections, only to have that flight was delayed and be re-routed on another airline through Belgium. Throughout the ordeal, I was able to maintain contact with Beatriz and still confirm my arrival. I was afraid I may lose my reservation, but upon arriving, I received a hearty “You made it" and my luggage was carried to my room. Beatriz had provided me perfect directions on how to get from the airport to the hotel. The guesthouse is located in a quiet neighborhood and close to the Barri de Gracia and Passeig de Gracia, only a couple of blocks from the Diagonal metro station and only a 20 minute walk to La Rambla. My room (#6) was located beside the office and had a private bath. The room was clean and quiet with a small safe, hair dryer, ceiling fan and ample plug-ins for re-charging your phone, computer, etc. Tea and coffee were available at any time and a continental style breakfast was included. There is a lovely, quiet terrace and wi-fi was free. The staff provided me tips on where to go for dinner which were great. They informed me that the Festa Major de Gracia street festival was taking place and I should check it out and was sure to find plenty of food and activities. They were right! The neighbourhood's streets were colorfully decorated, illuminated with lights, filled with people and there was a concert going on as well. I found a great place to have tapas and Sangria and just enjoy people-watching. The following morning, after sightseeing, Beatriz provided me with all the information I needed in order to catch the bus to the port. Beatriz and her staff made my stay a pleasant one and I would highly recommend the Blanc Guesthouse to anyone visiting Barcelona.
The rooms are exactly as pictured on booking.com, but on the smaller side. A rich continental breakfast was very good (choice of fruits, muesli, fruit yoghurt, bakery, toasts, OJ, coffe, ham and cheese). Very nice terrace for breakfast, Clean shared bathrooms are equipped with soap, shower gel and shampoo. Two desktop computers with internet connection (not very fast, but sufficient form normal use) are available to all guests and were mostly unused, Free wi-fi, which we didn't use at all due to desktops. Stuff very welcoming and informative. Arranged shuttle service from (25 EUR) and to the airport (18 EUR) total for two persons respectively, booked 48 hours in advance, sharp on time at 02.30 a.m. very satisfied). Basic maps of Barcelona are readily available, but not much else.
A guesthouse is located some 15 min trek from a metro station Diagonal. Not pleasant in summer heat. The buses are not so handy in general, as the routes are hard to find out. The guesthouse is in a transformed huge apartment with 10 rooms. Rooms are pretty small , so no chairs are available. There were only 4 hooks for towels or clothes, what is not enough. Towels were still little damp in the morning.Towels were exchanged just once in 5 days, what was not ok.
We had a fantastic time at Blanc G H so homely and very welcoming.. thank you so much... would stay again....
The location was very nice given that it was not in the center of everything so it made for a quieter night. The room was well decorated and felt very cozy. The owner was very nice and helpful. He speaks Spanish and English and he was willing to help me with my Spanish which was very nice. A community coffee machine was available for free cafe solo, cafe con leche as well as tea during the morning and day. We had a room with a shared bathroom which wasn't really much of a problem at all. Our room had an air conditioner which was definitely necessary for the Barcelona heat in August. Definitely recommend this place to others! The Wi-Fi was free and worked well enough for our needs.
My only complaint was that we had a resident that stayed there the last night that slammed their door whenever they closed it which kept my wife up untill 4am. This was not the fault of Blanc Guest House but it is worth noting that the sound travels pretty well in the back area of the guest house. The rooms closer to the office may have been a little quieter although you may here residents coming into the building from there.
Everything the place offered was excellent. Place was clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and extremely helpful especially Jose.
A bit far from the center, but walkable distance.
We were very pleased with the accommodations, very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend to friends and family.
I wish we could have stayed longer.
The rooms were very pretty, clean, and within proximity to the lovely Barri de Gracia. The neighborhood felt safe and clean. The breakfast was simple but filling, if you don't like it there is 24hr bakery down the street that sells pastries. The tourist sites were a bit of a walk, but not too far--you'll thank yourself for being away from the chaos trust me.
The walls were paperthin and it seems that when somebody opened the door to their room, it felt as if my door would rattle too.
The guesthouse staff were very friendly and helpful, we cannot fault them.
The walls were very thin. Although there is a notice to ask guests to be considerate of others, not all were. This is not the guesthouses fault!
Quite and good location Little walk to metro.
Very reasonably priced
Bathroom showers don't drain well, A/C blows directly on bed and can't be adjusted without turning off entirely.
It was spotlessly clean every day, with a very up to date and contemporary interior. Very quiet from outside noise and very secure. Bedrooms as well as bathrooms were outstanding.
It was a very quiet atmosphere and the walls were painfully thin, so any actual noise was very apparent.
