Centrally located, the Barcelona 4 Fun Hostel has Wi-Fi. In the Gothic Quarter, the guesthouse is just over a quarter mile from Ramblas and a 10-minute walk from Barceloneta Beach.

It was close to the city center. Nice area.
The room was not available that I booked. It was quite annoying. I had to stay in a smaller room with a very small window. I would recommend not to stay here.
It is very central but that is all!
Small, dirty and would say scary rooms! The pictures here posted must be from a secret room because of the 5 rooms I saw none are so nice like in the pictures! Terrible experience that I will never repeat!
staff saying about sexual preferences when I wan not interested, loud guests next door
disturbing smell in the room, noisy bed
I didn't like the fact to be taken for an idiot
Hostel was in a great location with a car park directly opposite and rooms were large. Great for young people that don't need much sleep!
Room was dirty and we thought it was expensive 100 euros for 1 night with shared bathroom. Also was difficult to get in as the lock on the hostel door wouldn't open, so we had to keep getting the staff to let us in. Our room was on the back, it was very hot (obviously its Barcelona!) so we had the window open, but had to shut it in the end as people in other rooms were having parties, and the language was a bit ripe for our 8 and 5 year old girls!! Car parking was very expensive and be careful, they literally charge you if you are 1 minute over your return time even though the day before they'd made out we had about 10 mins grace!
Fairly clean hostel.
1) No fans in the room, got them replaced two times, still did not work. 2) Looks very much like an illegal hostel. Name of hostel not mentioned anywhere on the property. Ample 24 is a property with no name and shared by many hostels, with no names on the doors. What is claimed on Booking.com is not the case at all! When asked around, people told us it might be an illegal hostel, probably will have to pack up shop within a year. 3) They only accept cash transaction. Receipt was under the stamp of Yuraq Janka, S.L. CIF B-66146135 4) Poor customer service. Staff (Jose) was very laidback, promising stuff without any delivery. When we complained that the fan was not working, we got the below responses. a) Just keep the fan plugged in, it will start working after some time. b) Its already spring in Spain, not as hot as summer. Okay, we do get the sense of humor, but it is not professional at all, especially for the price being charged. It is on par with some of the 3 or 4 star hotels. I wonder whether Booking.com does any due diligence of the property at all and I will rethink before using this service again.
Beautiful and in the heart of the city.
You need some ear plugs and a sense of humor about post-teen girls, and you'll be good.
The location was good!
No elevator, Complicated to enter the place, nobody answered the door, we had to wait for 1 hour!
Location was good.
Bathroom had a broken flush. Fan didn't work. Balcony doors didn't close. Entrance has no markings of Blue hostel. Kitchen had dirty utensils and wasn't too well equipped.
I wouldn't go there again even for free !!! Rooms are dirty and equipped with old and devastated "furnitures". Kitchen is also terrible and dirty. There is even no kettle to boil water for coffee. Bathroom is a little better, but you can not flush the toilet which is broken. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Please try to find another one.
Kitchen was an asset to make food free wifi
Everything was dismal show. Have to climb 97 narrow stairs. Washroom flush did not work hit my head everytime we need to enter impossible to locate first time
Location was good, staff were helpful, value for money was good for such a central location.
There is no sign that it's a hostel, we only received one key for a room with 4 people. It was confusing which bell you should ring if you don't have a key. Some of the locks to the rooms were not very secure. And one of the two bathrooms on the floor there was no lock, and the light stopped working.
The location was good. And the bathrooms were cleaned everyday.
We stayed for 5 nights and our room was never cleaned and the rubbish was never taken out. One of the showers was blocked the whole time. And the beds mattress was very thin.
Good place for staying for 1-2 days. The most important advantage for us was location close to magnificent seafront and price.
Room definitely needs renovation. There are too old door, window, bed and uncomfortable mattress.
- great location
- no quilts, just plain blanket - room without window - very thin walls (noises from other rooms) - hard to find (no sign outside the building)
Great location. The staff, particularly the owner/manager was extremely helpful
Comfortable but basic room. Bathroom always free. Brilliant location near La Rambla. Brilliant Irish bar next door. Next to bars cafes and transport and very easy to find
Condom on the floor. Staff weren't there to check out so we just put key under door. The keys were a nightmare to use and hard to get in the room.
great location, nice staircase and nice kitchen
- no heating - the Guardian! (taking showers and waking us up at 6 in the morning + him being obnoxiously rude to us all the time and insulting us the only day we went back late, not even speaking about forbidding us to put music in the room even if it was very quiet AND that we were the ONLY persons in the floor,...) - the fact that no one has warned us that there were going to be WORKS in the room while we were there : the smell of fresh painting, the painter singing even louder than the music he played on the radio) + the windows always open because of the smell that made the hostel even colder than it was!!!
Illegal hostel! You must pay the towels - one euro for one towel for each day Toilet is the same for girls and for boys and is not clean, This same Hostel (Hostel Blue) is advertised on other sites under different names! Wfi of the hostel is not available in the rooms
terrible very old and uncomfortable , rooms where the worst.no towels provided either
The first impression of Blue hostel is pretty scaring and insecure. But then you get used to it and relax.
Starting from the beginning: Almost impossible to find; pictues very misleading (beautiful staircase is for the apartment building the office is in, but the two rooms we were offered were both in other buildings); dingy; owner came across as hustler business guy; internet didn't work and it didn't appear to be recent issue; 70 euro air conditioned room a dive and ac made loud vibrating noise; request for money back was met with "I've gotta make a living"; alternate room (since refund request was denied) was in building several blocks away and was immediately above a bar (no ac or working internet, btw) and was very noisy all night. DON"T even consider staying here.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen had plenty of crockery. It's a fairly basic hostel, but if that's what you want it's got a great location.
The building was very noisy once people started moving around in the morning.
