This hotel is set 325 ft from Santa María del Mar Beach and a 20-minute walk from Cádiz Old Town. The Monte Puertatierra provides free Wi-Fi in all areas.
Score from 1044 reviews Very good
Hotel La Catedral is set in Cádiz’s charming Old Town, right next to Cádiz Cathedral. Its rooftop terrace has a small outdoor pool with jets and amazing views of the cathedral and the Atlantic Ocean.
Score from 667 reviews Very good
In an elegant 19th-century building, this hotel is in Cádiz’s historic quarter, just a 3-minute walk from the port. It features a roof terrace, a massage and beauty service, and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 526 reviews Good
Hotel de Francia y Paris is located on Plaza San Franciso, 500 metres from Cádiz Port and 15 minutes’ walk from the beach. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace.

a kind of sterile feeling....staff was considerate and adequately friendly but not great communicators...
Interesting building in the style of a Parador but much more reasonably priced. If visiting Cadiz would stay again.
Location a bit run down and hard to find. Noisy during the night with cleaning of streets.
Big rooms, well provided bathrooms and toiletries. Total black out if you wanted it!
Wi-fi a bit weak
I loved absolutely everything about this hotel! Great ambience, charming interior! Furniture and bathroom facilities were in perfect condition, the room was clean. And there was a lift. The location is 5 min walking from the railway and bus station and 10 min from the catedral.
superb location beside train station and ferry port and also right in the heart of the old town. Beautiful old hotel and bedrooms are approached through a lovely marble cloister. This was my 2nd stay at the hotel this year. The first was during Semana Santa and the adjoining church was a starting point for some of the many Religious processions and also on this visit the city was celebrating its patron saint feast day and the church, cloister and the streets outside were bursting with locals celebrating and following the procession and its massive entourage of pall bearers and musicians. It's amazing to be immersed in something so traditional and great to see locals of all ages lining the streets to wait for the processions to pass.
The room looked out onto the main road and the noise of the traffic was extremely loud with the window open. Had a larger room on my previous visit which looked out onto a street at the back of the hotel and this was much quieter. Thw shower leaked...but most showers in hotels tend to! There was a charge of €3 per day to use the in-room safe.
Location, setting, room, view of the port. Excellent value!
Walls very thin, can hear next door conversations. A map of the city would have been helpful and more general information or signposted to visitor information.
The hotel is opposite both bus and train station. Good dining is found nearby. The city walks and most historical monuments are close by. We visited during Fiesta del La Rosario and dazzled by Mass in Church next door and the evening procession.
I personally prefer to sleep with windows open. But traffic was to noisy. Slept well with air conditioning.
Friendly and informative Staff on Reception. We booked a superior room an got upgraded to a Junior Suite it was lovely with modern bathroom.
Nothing.it was everything that was advertised. which some accommodations are not !!
Cadiz is a scummy awful city full of drug addicts, drunks and rip off merchants. We were there all of 3 hours and even though we were booked in a lovely hotel, I was happy to pay the 95 euros and not stay a moment longer in this awful city.
Location, the history of the building being an old convent, rooms very good,
If by car you need to park at the train station and walk for 5 minutes max with luagage not really negatif just good to know
Beatifull hotel in a old covent very well located in historical part of the town. Excellent room. I stayed in the room facing the port, wich are perfectly sound-insulated. Very clean.
only minor detai: the bed was not perfectly prepared by the maide.
1) Historic building converted with obvious care. A truly tranquil environment with lovely courtyard. 2) Close to restaurants and the sights of Cadiz. 3) Good room size with comfortable beds.
1) It is extremely difficult to find this hotel even with GPS. A very visible roadside indication would be a prudent move. 2) Bathroom a bit cramped and no soap on offer. 3) Closest parking means having to cross a busy 4-lane urban highway with luggage.
The hotel was located in a recently restored convent. All the original features of the historic building had been retained with the cloisters a major feature. Our bedroom was large and fitted out to a very high standard. Large bathroom. Effective air conditioning. Hotel was only 10 minutes walk from Cathedral Square and close to numerous restaurants.
You need to walk to the hotel with luggage unless using a taxi. There were no tea/coffee making facilities. WiFi reception in the bedroom could be improved.
Excellent location for an early train departure. Loved the cloisters- like a giant chess board. Very comfortable hotel. We will return.
This felt like a very peaceful place to stay. The courtyard area was a great place to sit and relax. The location was good for getting all round the different parts of the locality both beaches, historic section and local restaurants. Also the train and bus station is across the road so very convenient for arrival and departure.
The rooms are slightly small for two adults. Also I could here a fellow guest snoring in the the next room.
Location was good, near to all sights and beach, railway and bus station. Old style hotel though modern rooms.
Room a bit small but fine for 1 or 2 nights. Breakfast was ok rather basic. Maybe need a sign outside for hotel we actually walked past it as it is an old converted convent but as I said earlier very central. One main thing there was an extra charge of €3.00 per night for the use of the safe. Not a good move, don't annoy people for €3.00. Wi fi was not great.
The hotel was delightful in every way.
Driving in Cadiz; a hotel we stayed in in Cordoba emailed detailed directions AND a video showing exactly how to get to the hotel- that was brilliant, the Boutique Convento could do the same, it would really help.
The solution-answer that the reception staffs give me when I explain about the cleaning situation in my bathroom.
Room upgraded, comfortable and quiet if a bit bland/anonymous given the origins of the hotel. Patio a calm and restful place for a drink. Staff very helpful in directing us to places to park nearby.
Breakfast disappointing- buffet but a very limited choice.
Loved everything about this property except the weak wifi
Wifi strength in room 210 very weak, kept dropping out,
We were given a not refundable bedroom which was not clean enough on arrival. After the complaint was made, they waited to the next morning to clean it off, forgetting to clean under the bed again. No excuse for such careless cleaning.
Great location just a few minutes walk from the old town of Cadiz with its lovely restaurants and bars. Stunning courtyard with bar service and food Beautiful room - spacious, clean and comfortable. Advice on parking from previous review is spot on - park in the train station, walk away from the station and the hotel is a 2 minute walk across the street (just look for the white building with a bell tower that resembles a church !)
Quiet place to have a good night sleep just in Cadiz old town - Excelent location. The convent itself was very beautifull and very well preserved.
Nothing to point out.
