Hotel Citric Sóller  

Städningen av rummet var jättedåligt, det var skitigt rdan när vi kom.

Läget är kanonbra. På en liten "höjd" med utsikt över bukten. Nära barnvänlig och långgrund strand samt restauranger, caféer och strandpromenaden. Trevlig personal. Helt okej frukost om än något enkel. Har man hyrbil fungerar det bra att parkera på gatan utanför om plats finns.

Det sägs i hotellbeskrivningen att hotellet nyligen är renoverat, men de måste ha glömt toaletterna. I vårt rum ramlade duschstången ner tillsammans med det mögliga duschdraperiet. Mycket enkelt rum. Rätt slitna lakan med fläckar på. Oerhört lyhört. Såväl grannarnas prat som snarkningar hördes som om de sovit i samma rum.

Perfekt för ett par nätter. Vänlig stämning. Som ofta är det girl power som gäller på enklare hotell. Receptionstjejen har örnkoll.

Den manliga personalen påminner om, som så ofta på enklare hotell, en kombination av Manuel & Basil.... Trevliga men 0 koll. Frukosten är dålig, fattig.

Litet och mysigt hotel. Rummet var helt OK i prisklassen. Rekommenderas för dig som vill bo i den underbara fiskebyn Soller. Frukosten var bra. Vi betalde 5€ var för frukost varje morgon. Det ingick kaffe, juice, nybakat bröd, ägg vissa dagar, frukter, yoghurt, kaffe mm. Personalen var hjälpsamma och trevliga.

Uteterassen är inte lika flådig som på bilderna. Dock ligger den mysigt precis över vattnet med fin utsikt.

The location of the hotel (but that is nothing the management can be held responsible for)

Staff (not enough) was rather unfriendly and incompetent. No hot water, not even lukewarm, not suitable for a shower (4th floor). No heating! (And it was rather cold, rainy and windy outside) and no warm blankets (we got a smelly one after request). Food (we have booked half- board; not recommendable!) was rather disgusting and not tasty at all!! Everybody got the same one dish without beeing asked for any other wishes. We paid more than eur 100,00 for a double...far too much for this place.... We`d have rather paid eur 150,00 and stayed somewhere else! Any other place is probably better than this one!!!! Never ever again!!!

The location was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly.

We felt that the bedroom was basic and lacking in drawer space.

Cockroaches, towels taken and not replaced, poor choice of food, noisy, poorly cleaned, lack of basic cleanliness, rooms need work (demolishing) smell of chips / frying fat , no sight of chips????

The stay was cheap. The room though a bit hot and stuffy was adequate. The hotel was clean. It was a good location.

Some staff not friendly. Food not good. No choice of menu therefore 4 of the 6 nights we stayed we could not eat the food as it was not to our taste. The food was also served cold and looked unappetising. One day 10 minutes late for breakfast. Not allowed to use facilities to make a cup of tea. A cup was made for us and we had to pay for it!

For a backpacker the ideal starting point for all sorts of hiking tours. No unneccesary extras for people like me who are out all day and just want a bed and a shower.

The radio was on all day -- and played almost exclusively American and English tunes. Didn't make me feel like I was in Spain.

Location was good with views over the sea.

On Arrival we `found the room allocated had not been serviced . This room faced a high bank and was dark without any outlook. We were given a larger room facing the sea which was better but then discovered we had not been given any towels.The room was not serviced to a good standard and furnishings and bathroom were very poor . Worse was to come! With breakfast quite the worst service and food I have ever had in a hotel.Dirty tables everywhere no fresh juice, no fruit ! just basic cereal and bread with a yoghurt! No attention to detail . No sign of a waitress ! This hotel should be avoided at all costs .The position is good and that says it all! Dreadful experience

Excellent value for money. We were cycle touring in Mallorca and paid 50 Euros for dinner bed and breakfast.

after having read some poor reviews of hotel citric, we were a bit apprehensive prior to arriving. however the hotel was very clean,the rooms basic but clean, clean sheets, hot baths and showers,staff were pleasant, all night receptionist on duty. the breakfasts were basic but fine and at 5 euro very good value for money. the hotel was overall exceptional value for money. it is located on the shoreline, overlooking the harbour at the end of a long line of restaurants, cafes and hotels and 20 metres from probably the best restaurant in the port - the agapanta. in the other direction the path leads straight into great walks thro the hills. if you want a clean well located place to base, the citric is a great place to stay at great value

Otherwise nothing more can be mentioned positively, however I believe for this price no better quality can be expected. The absolutely lowest level. By the way the coffee at the lobby bar ist the most terrible one I ever could drink...Also the payed internet access: do you believe that the fee of € 1,00 for 10 minutes (!) connection (for hotel guests!) is acceptable?

Meals although not offering a choice were value for money. The hotel is in a good position in the port and gives value for the budget price charged. With some money spent, it could be brought up to` more stars`

Plumbing can be a bit smelly, but this does seem to be a problem in this area. With money spent on this and other works, it could be a really good hotel. We had read some bad reports on this hotel but we found it to be good value for money. If you want luxury, then spend 180 euros per night on the Esplendido half a mile away!

The orange juice is excellent at the breakfast! The bread is fresh as well. Also great view over the bay if you sit across the road.

Dont be fooled by the hotel saying that there is balcony view over de Tramuntana muntain range on one side of the hotel. It’s just a massive cliff with no view at all over the mountains. Polically they are unfortunatelly correct, because the cliff is past of the Tramuntana mountain range! Note that the room has no air-con and you need to pay for a fan. There's a lady who speaks English with a french accent. She had poor customer service. She offered 2 mineral waters for 4 euro's and wanted a quick respons from me, so she could continue her "important" work behind the computer. Obviously I didn't buy the water after she said that.

Great views, the nice walk to the Faro is nearby.

Really sad breakfasts..The hotel looks a bit abandoned, although it has great facilities such as a very nice terrace overlooking the sea, but its not really in use.

The location of citric was great the views from the hotel were gorgeous especially if your room had a balcony. Most of the staff were lovely .

We found it difficult with the heat I the rooms as there was no air con. Also there was a bad smell coming up through the pipes in the ensuite. As I said above most of the staff in the hotel were friendly but there was one older grey haired lady who was not friendly and not very helpful.

The location, location, location and the cleanliness and privacy.

Our room was too hot as there is no air conditioning. Only realised on the second last day that a fan could be hired which we would have availed of from the beginning of our holiday to ease sleep.

Great location, close to the seafront. Clean, airy rooms with balcony. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice terrace overlooking the bay.

Very accomodating staff. Brought my bike and it was no problem to provide lockup facilities. Location excellent. Dinner and breakfast both tasty and prompt. Excellent value for money.

Room very small and rather sparse, no TV etc.

At Eu30 a night, you really can't expect too much .... water in shower was hot, room clean. Walls paper thin so you can hear everything going on. Best advice ... make sure you are dog-tired before going to bed then you won't care. Best bit - lovely local bar about 30 meters up the road. Super friendly and good beer and tapas with amazing views over the bay.
