    Lovely view

    twin beds instead of a double that kept parting in the middle!

    The location next to the seafront was good.

    This was by far and away the worst hotel experience I've ever had. At a first glance the hotel looked ok, if a little outdated in relation to the price tag of the rooms. However, around midnight we started to note a strong smell in the room, a mix between humidity and the stench of sewage. The smell grew stronger and stronger as the night went on, meaning we weren't able to sleep properly, and went down to reception to complain first thing. The smell seemed to be related to a waste duct that was located in the corner of the bathroom, and could be heard every time someone in the rooms above used the toilets. We reported the problem to hotel reception and stressed the seriousness of the issue, and that the room was practically uninhabitable. The only response we got however, was that the hotel had never received a complaint of this type. The hotel manager didn't even suggest seeing the condition of the room until we insisted that they do so. Upon seeing the condition of the room the manager then astonishingly proceeded to deny the fact that there was a problem and treated us with an arrogant and carefree tone. Never before have I been confronted with such poor customer service. It was completely unacceptable in the face of what had happened. And we quite simply couldn't believe the arrogance and complacence of hotel management. When you pay these kind of prices, you expect a minimum standard of service, especially in the face of problems of this scale. In my opinion, this hotel should not be featured on a page like
