Pascal is a very friendly and welcoming host. Conveniently located for evening access to the town square. Five minutes drive to the beach. Would definitely return.
Car parking facilities a bit difficult to negotiate and spaces occupied by non hotel residents.
Friendly staff,Pascal very welcoming. Interesting varied breakfasts.
Breakfast not served until 08.30am,so sometimes inconvenient if we wanted to get out early to hike.
Friendly and English speaking staff. Parking nearby. Great Breakfast. Hotel felt safe and secure. Good location, near shops, restaurants, and hiking trails.
There was no ice or mixers at the bar for making drinks/cocktails. Fridge in lobby did not work. WIFI was spotty and slow. Small and cramped room. Staff did not clean the room or make the beds 1/3 nights we were there.
Location Breakfast Terrace
Breakfast The courtyard The room was comfortable Happy staff
Staff - particularly Pascal who could not do enough. Courtyard Breakfast Location
Nothing apart from parking but Pascal was happy to collect car and bring to the hotel on departure.
Liked the terrace outside our room although it was for sharing with other guests only ever saw one other person there.
After 10 days breakfast a bit repetitive.
Location was good. Room 10 had nice roof top balcony
The room was small and bed hard. There was little service to speak of, not seeing anyone till breakfast. Three couples waited for table service and one gave up waiting. I knocked at the kitchen door and eventually someone arrived. We weren't sure why they didn't do a breakfast buffet instead.
Wonderful breakfast in the courtyard. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere in stylish Mallorcan surroundings.
The house is beautifully renovated and is in an excellent location. The elegant décor and the attention to detail in the rooms contribute to the intimate feel of the hotel. Above all, the warm welcome and attentive attitude to guests from the owner, Pascal, and his staff were particularly pleasing.
Garden area, breakfast freshly prepared each day, nice spacious room, very helpful host. Lovely view of the mountains,
Hotel was double booked on arrival so we were relocated for a night. Room quite hot despite air con on full. Room was quite expensive as we did not have a balcony or terrace.
A very cozy hotel with extremely friendly staff. Breakfast excellent. Short walk to the center and station.
Those requiring car park should be warned that there is a 150m walk to the hotel and that there are only four spaces for hotel guests and space is very crammed. Cars have to be manoeured as they block each other.
Loved the friendly staff and location. Small hotel but large and comfortable room.
The bedroom at the front of the hotel faced the road outside which did mean some early morning commuter traffic was heard.
Good attention to detail and regional breakfasts.A very pleasant suprise when you enter the Hotel from the narrow town streets. A pleasant interior courtyard for the breakfasts.
Ambience and hospitality Breakfast and service Air conditioning
No lift if occupying room in upper house Chipped cups at complimentary Tea/Coffee station No room or towel change/ service on Sunday
Great Location, friendly stuff, good atmosphere. We like it very much.
Staff were excellent; Welcoming and eager to please. Excellent and varied breakfasts.
Not a place to stay longer than a weekend. Lack of fresh towels daily and unable to dry in 24 after use. Beds were on the lower end of average comfort. A/C in rooms was very poor and it wasn't too hot.
An absolute gem of a hotel in every way. A traditional old townhouse converted into a wonderful hotel. Beautifully maintained, exceptional rooms, glorious breakfasts, peaceful surroundings. It was a complete joy to stay there. Will be back as soon as possible.
We loved this hotel, it is beautiful, well run, clean and stylish. The garden area where breakfast is taken is lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful and go beyond the call of duty to make your stay a good one.
It's a (beautiful) old building and so quite noisy (floorboards etc). Not sure it would have been the case in all rooms but ours was just up the stairs to the left of reception and with lots of late arrivals in the evening we were woken every night by guests arriving. Also experienced people standing outside our door and calling to others on the next floor up in the morning. Pascal, the owner, asks for a quiet policy from 10pm until 10am each night but not all guests observe this.
The house is beautiful, calm and relaxing, with lovely breakfasts served on the patio and the option of a drink in the evening. Tea and coffee were provided in the rooms. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
The mattress and pillow were hard.
Well-located hotel in a quiet street near the square of this interesting little town full of good bars and restaurants. Easy access to the coast (via the little train) and also to some delightful mountain villages, notably Deia. Some off-street parking but only four spaces for ten rooms and the owner's own car. However, by leaving your keys and trusting the owner to skilfully shuffle spaces and manage double parking, this seems to work. The rooms are tasteful and well-appointed, immaculate and characterful. We enjoyed two different ones as we extended our stay: one was large and the other smaller but with the benefit of a secluded roof-top patio, Good wifi. The owners are accommodating but unobtrusive. They are very helpful but also give you a lot of independence in their hotel. As well as the mini-bar there is a well-stocked and reasonably-priced honesty bar and access to glasses and the shaded central courtyard at all hours. It was also a very pleasant breakfast location.
The three short streets leading to the town centre are narrow and busy and require care as the cars and scooters use them with alarming speed. The breakfast was beautifully-prepared and presented and juices and coffees plentiful; although it was made clear that requested alternatives were available, the staple breads, jams and cakes were a little sweet for my taste. But this really is nit-picking. It was an excellent stay which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Location, friendly staff, breakfast, size of the room
This hotel turned out as well as we could have hoped. Perfect location. The hotel is in the Village of Soller, a 45-min walk from the Port or a short 5 euro (E) train ride. With the summer crowds at the Port, we were glad to have some distance. there are excellent restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is charming, very clean and run by a helpful, friendly staff, headed up by Pascal the owner, a few blocks from the village center. There are 4 reserved parking spaces, but get a skinny car!! They serve an elaborate continental breakfast of fruit, cheese, some ham slices and fresh breads and pastries, & eggs made to order upon request. free wi-fi in the room as well as free water and juices in our lil fridge. Great shower, nice bathroom & cold AC! And we had a desk area that was useful. I would highly recommend this hotel to Americans looking for modern comforts of home in a charming, truly Mallorcan setting.
The mattress in room #1 is very hard, like sleeping on a box spring rather than a mattress. There also was not a comfortable place to lounge in the room & it was more comfortable to lounge right outside in the lobby or in the courtyard. There is a daily charge for parking that will be added to the room when you check out. Do NOT rent a big vehicle! Parking spots are tiny and the roads are incredibly narrow.
An oasis of calm. Felt myself relaxing as soon as we arrived. Lovely staff. Perfect room and fab view from our own sun terrace. Views to die for. Breakfast 'tapas' such a great experience. Thank you
Carrying our mugs of coffee up two flights of stairs was scary. A kettle would be useful.
The staff at Ca´an Abril is probably about the most welcoming and friendly people we have ever met! Add mountain views, great breakfast and large light rooms, and your hotel experience at Ca´an Abril is definetely worth the stay!
The wi-fi worked very well on the first floor, not so well on the second floor where we stayed. But, that´s only a minor detail, having to go down to the breezy patio was not that much of an effort:)
