Friendly, pretty place
Very basic, not that comfy
Location, cleanliness, sleep quality.
Location near Gaucin, being able to walk to village. Easy to park just opposite.
Style and decoration Lack of rustic charm or warmth
Very nice scenery. Personal service OK
Worst breakfast ever. White bread, butter, jam, juice, coffee and a cake - that's it!
The excellent views from the terrace and quiet location and size of the room. The hard working receptionist/chamber maid and waitress all one quietly very helpful person.
The military like almost aggressive attitude of the owner/manager who appeared to wish we were not there at several points when we asked for tea, also demanded our payment 2 hours before checkout. Not a welcoming person!!
Room with an excellent view. Typical Spanish breakfast.. Staff were friendly Gaucin is a lovely town. Close to many food choices.
Pillow was a bit small
Nice room, on a nice day the views would be terrific.
The breakfast - poor. No food available other than breakfast. We were asked to pay for the room on arrival. Unusual, perhaps he thought we would leave without paying....
Location of hotel and parking was available outside. Hotel was warm and had abundant supply of hot water. Staff friendly and some english spoken.
Breakfast mediocre. Would have preferred bit more choice perhaps yoghurts, fruit, cheese. Bread on first day was frozen and took a long time to toast but we were only visitors that day so understandable. When we arrived our booking form stated we could arrive from 1pm but when we arrived just after 2pm and hotel was closed from 14;00 till 16:30 so we had to wander around. We did try ringing the bell but had no response. After 5 hour drive really wanted to get to hotel room for shower.
Been here at least 4 times and enjoyed it but this time bad bad bad.
No service, no reception not a chance of even a cup of coffee after 11am. Had to eat toast as bread was frozen straight from the freezer. Just awful and the room next had a Spanish couple with dog that started howling at 5am. Well I think it was the dog.
