We arrived around 6:40pm, which is not at all late in Spain, and found there was no-one on reception. We waited patiently for 10 min or so and when the lady arrived she not only didn't apologise but actually told us off for arriving "late". She claimed we should have called to let her know and said she was about to go home for the night!! There was nothing on the website about the need to call to let the hotel know eta however, so I was very surprised to hear this. She was quite odd / abrupt / rude in her manner to us, though she made up for this by giving us a nicer room than we had originally booked. All in all, make sure you call well in advance to let her know what time you will be arriving! Also wifi did not work very well in some parts of the building.
The historic nineteenth-century building was really wonderful and the period decor just gorgeous. The presentation of both the room and the breakfast was beautiful, and the location was extremely central in the historic old town. Excellent value for money for the experience.
