Offering a wellness center with massage treatments and free gym access, Eurostars Convento Capuchinos is located in a former monastery in Segovia old town, beside Plaza Mayor Square and the Cathedral....
Score from 294 reviews Excellent
This recently built 4-star hotel provides accommodations designed in a contemporary-style. It is located just opposite the magnificent ancient aqueduct.

The staff where always helpful and polite. Willing to help with any problems you may have. And they where always sorted.
WiFi, kept dropping out, and staff had to continue to re boot...
The location of the hotel was fabulous. A short taxi ride into the old town and the helpful staff organised that for us. It was good not to be in the centre of things. This is the quietest hotel we have been in and the room facilities were excellent. Wifi connection strong and reliable.
Nice room with outside 1st floor terrace . Lobby nice . Had car so location was good for heading to Avila next day .
Did not have our reservation ( somehow messed up ) . Said they did not have any available rooms but after my vigorous complaint they were able to provide the 2 rooms I had reserved for us and another couple - guess alls well that ends well . Word of caution for anyone staying on a Saturday night as we did -- they said they had 4 weddings there that night . Music was incredibly loud till almost 2am . We are late night people and were on the side of the hotel furthest from the music so we dealt with it but I imagine many people would not be happy with that situation .
Location Quality of food
Paying 11 euros for 1 hour swimming Cost of hotel so expensive and didn't offer value for money
Very impressive building with big lobby, a luxurious hotel feeling, even though it is obviously a bit old and not perfectly maintained. Minibar was free! Very good price. Enormous room with a mansion feeling. Shower had both a bathtub and a shower and two sinks. Quirky place with interesting atmosphere.
A bit far from center - requires car, but by car it's very close. Not so comfortable beds.
Almost everything, great hotel well worth staying at.
Food quality very poor, for such a lovely hotel but cold plates, glutinous cold sauce. Breakfast no normal tea or honey.
Room size, comfort, access to high speed train to Madrid. Short taxi ride from city center. Good choice for breakfast.
This is a beautiful hotel, rooms very comfortable. Bus stop outside with 10 minutetrip to town or 20 min walk. Taxi only 5 to 6 euro. Food is excellent, we found some staff excellent but it only takes 1 to sour your experience and unfortunately this lady was working the bar/ restaurant each evening we were there and she couldnt have made it clearer by her manner each evening that she was'nt in form to serve us a drink and was in fact rude, not only leaving us standing at the bar while she cleaned away glasses while watching us but after waiting almost 10 mins she said something to her colleague who then came to serve us and he wasnt very friendly either.
Just the young girl who was on bar duty the nights we were there apx 11pm. Also there should be a sign in the pool area forbidding people to leave towels on sunbeds taking them up for hours at a time and having people sunbathe on the grass while 80% of the beds are not in use.
everything was perfect! the personal very friendly and the food was amazing. Rooms very good - the bed was awesome! breakfast was just incredible - thank you - i will be back as the stay was very inviting :)
Lots of parking Pool area Location
Very hard beds Lack of black tea
Room was spacious and clean Comfortable beds Outdoor swimming pool Free on-site parking Helpful staff
Poor WIFI signal in the room
The breakfast was exceptional with waitress service - very professional! The hotel itself is very luxurious and overall the staff were very helpful and pleasant. With one exception: a girl at reception was quite abrupt with my husband when he asked if she could call a doctor as I had become very ill. She said 'get a taxi'!
The phone in our room did not work - we had to make our calls through reception (Room 127). This happened on our last visit. Also the WiFi was turned off at night for some reason? And it did not reach the rooms further away from the front desk. You had to sit in the lounge.
Absolutely fantastic value for money. This hotel is like stepping back in time to a luxury we don't see in this price range these days. The King and Queen of Spain visited it at one stage! The décor is outstanding, the room we had was huge including all the usual modern amenities. As for the breakfast? Wow! Meats, salmon, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, juice, coffee, breads, cakes, etc. A huge variety of each! Plus super efficient waitress service! Worth every penny, especially with the décor in the dining room - the enormous crystal chandelier, the artwork, just superb!
Absolutely nothing. We are going back for a three day visit next month.
A good location, a 5 min car drive from Segovia. Good size pool Breakfast was good
Wifi was very poor and kept dropping. Not great The shower in our room was iffy, going from freezing cold to scalding hot. I did complain and the hotel promised to look into it.
Lovely hotel, with amazing view over old city, from our 2nd floor window.
The space in the rooms the food and the service excellent
Candido has a very impressive facade and offers a lovely oasis of tranquility outside Segovia. Staff were lovely, our room spacious and luxurious and the pool area relaxing and comfortable.
The wifii was unreliable and the temperature in the shower a bit erratic.
The hotel was very easy to find and the staff very welcoming. Our room was just fabulous, very comfortable. We will certainly be back, as we live in Spain and we do lots of travelling around the country.
None of the staff spoke English, (except the receptionist), which was not too bad for me as I speak a little bit of Spanish but there we're an English couple touring and didn't speak a word of Spanish, so they really struggled to communicate.
Breakfast was excellent.
Had the place to ourselves - difficult to see how they can make a profit. No staff or welcome in the restaurant in the evening.
The rooms are very big and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Evening meals not much choice and over priced.
Large room, huge comfortable bed, bath and separate walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Location would usually be very peaceful, and ideal if you want easy parking (large free car park), buses to the historic centre leave from opposite the hotel, €1.03 fare to the aqueduct. Bus times are shown at the bus stop.
If you don't want to pay hotel prices for breakfast, there aren't many places nearby to eat. If you really want a peaceful location, check that there are no fiestas on the dates you are visiting - the fair ground is right next to the hotel. We hadn't realised that the Segovia Fiestas were happening the weekend of our visit. We asked for a quiet room as soon as we arrived and were given a room at the other end of the hotel from the fair ground, which did make a difference but it was impossible to get away from the noise altogether. I suppose it would have been difficult to avoid noise anywhere in the city as there was live music and entertainment everywhere, and just below the fair ground was an excellent location to watch the end of fiestas fireworks display! So not really a 'didn't like', more of an observation!
location, rooms, bar
