Little, but cozy hotel. We lived on the third floor. In the room we had everything we needed: two beds, a wardrobe, a table, a chair and a bedstand. The room is rather spacious. Moreover, there was a little patio with a table and two chairs (perfect for early-morning outdoor breakfasts and a glass of wine in the evenings!).
The nearest metro station (Guinardó - Hospital De Sant Pau, L4) is in a three-minute walk. L1 metro line was more convenient to me, so I walked to Navas station (1,3 km or 10-15 minutes). Transport availability is great, and the surroundings are pleasant: there are many bars, cafes, supermarkets, etc.
When you're checking-in, the guy on reception gives you a room key and an electronic card to open the hotel's door. The card is very useful, because usually there is no one at the reception desk. I strongly advise you to make a call to the hotel from the airport in order for them to get ready for you and meet you at reception.
The room was very clean, they made it up every day. The personnel was very friendly. They also provided us with free Barcelona maps. Wi-Fi was available only at reception desk (no dissapointment, because we knew about it beforehands), but it worked fast and smoothly. There is a table and electric outlet, where you can sit with your laptop.
On one day there were problems with water: it just stopped running, both cold and hot. Good for me, several minutes later it went alright (standing in a shower without water, but with shampoo on your head is rather uncomfortable). I really suppose it to be Barcelona's, not Hostal Canigo's problem, in fact.
