Unfortunately, I chose to ignore the negative reviews of this hotel and booked it for a week. The only thing I found positive about the hotel was the view, but certainly not worth staying there only for the view, since I disliked everything else. Where should I start? The food: we paid only for breakfast (thankfully!). I can’t believe the positive reviews I read on the food from this hotel! The food was basic at best: some basic cheese, salami, ham, bad scrambled eggs, orange juice from a can and bad coffee (which is almost impossible in Spain, since they normally have excellent coffee). The atmosphere for breakfast was reminiscent of a factory canteen, it was very crowded and you felt like you have to fight for the food, with long lines at the very slow coffee machine. Worst of all, the plates, cups, glasses and cutlery were dirty!! I had to check everything before using it, since it had dried food and greasy prints on it!
We had dinner only once and it was enough, the same fight for food, canteen food with quantity over quality and dirty cutlery. The service was also bad, one of the waiters literally threw the cutlery on the table in front of me.
The room: we booked a room with a view to the sea. When we got the room, it was on the second floor above the swimming pool area and it had a big pine tree running in front of it ruining most of the view. In the end it turned out the pine tree helped, since you had no privacy, everyone lounging in front of the pool had a full view to our room and balcony, since the floors are very low. We asked for a different room and we were given as option two rooms that had as a view some bushes, so we had no choice but keep the pine tree room.
The room was also old and not in a good historical way, but in a squeaky beds with a bad mattress type of way (we got two beds that we had to join together and there was a gap inbetween).
The view of the sea is indeed beautiful.
