we liked Jonan very much, great guy! The room, facilities, location and everything else were excellent. We will be visiting again next time we're staying in Bilbao. Thanks, Jamie & Rachel
Nicely decorated rooms Very friendly & helpful host Excellent location in the old town center
Lovely new rooms built into an old building on a car-free street in the middle of the old part of town. Owner great at giving sightseeing and advice on where to eat and drink.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. Easy to reach from the airport (45 minutes) by bus and metro. After visiting several other parts of Bilbao we returned late in the afternoon to the Old City... getting from the ' tren' and entering the area we both thought " home" .
Nothing, the perfect place to stay for a city trip.
Just about everything. Especially the mini tour guide and where to eat recommendations at check-in. Even our sons Basque girlfriend was impressed!!
There is only coffee available 24/7 with condensed milk. No tea/chocolate etc. But have to say breakfast recommendation 1 euro 95 for decent pot of tea and Tostada made up for it. Could'nt get the Wi-Fi to connect but that may have more to do with us than the room.
Really stylish, amazing rain shower, and lovely comfy beds. The location is right in the heart of the Old town and easy to get anywhere you need. It was a perfect stay in Bilbao and would definitely come back!
Great location in quiet new rooms set inside an old building. Walk to pretty much everywhere from there. Manager gave spot on recommendations of what to see and where to eat. Fabulous.
Lovely small themed hotel with interesting design and excellent location.
Fantastic quirky accommodation in excellent location. Very informative and helpful owner who gave us a brilliant brief on accommodation and area. Great hospitality extras too. Definitely recommend.
Such a beautiful place to stay with a great location. Highly recommended.
The enthusiasm of the proprietor for his newly opened place and for the whole of Bilbao is infectious. Each room is named after a Spanish film director - ours was Fernando Trueba - their posters adorn the rooms and the reception area and their films are available on the Smart TVs in the rooms. Comfy bed.
Loved the small house type feel. Also loved the enclosed balcony to the street. Everything was very comfortable.
no staff to ask questions.
I couldn't fault our stay at caravan cinema, jonan is a wonderful host and gave us the warmest and very helpful welcome to bilbao, far better than either of the hotels we stayed in on our trip. A great location in the old town with so much thought and detail put into the design of both the room and communal area, we absolutely loved our stay at caravan cinema.
It has a great location, central to everything, if you want to get a flavour of the real Bilbao, this is a great place to start. Common area with Expresso machine , water fountain was a bonus, the rooms were superbly comfortable, attention to detail a top priority. Jonan the owner was a great help and incredibly enthusiastic about everything.
Nothing to dislike.
The room was renovated with lovely things in detail: bed, shower, lighting, ...etc. it's as gorgeous as in photos. Wifi works! Also Jonan was really attentive and helpful with everything!
It's an old house and cracks in every movement. We could hear people tiptoe and whisper in next door ( and we whisper too).
The host and the hotel were brilliant, the themed rooms were stylishly done. Excellent little boutique hotel.
Jonan, the proprietor, was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Also, if you want to be where the action is in the Old City, this is a great place to be.
The only drawback is that the room had no windows. Also, the hot water was a little inconsistent.
great Location, had a great time
no window in our room :(
A very well situated establishment, close to the cafes and restaurants of the old town.comfortable individual style rooms, and a warm and friendly welcome. Our dogs were made welcome and we had a very easy stay.
It should not call itself a hotel. It is in fact just a set of rooms in an apartment block with none of the facilities that one expects from a hotel. It is best not to have a car, parking in the municipal carpark is some distance. It is a nuisance to have to go out for breakfast.
Location in the Old Town of Bilbao was wonderful: access to restaurants, pinxto bars, public transportation. Beds very comfortable; rooms clean but European small. Very nice public space for relaxing. Decor is thoughtful, interesting and delightful, clearly much care was taken in choosing the unique decor. Great price.
Very hard to find when arriving by car. No easy parking. Parking is in a public lot two blocks away, making luggage transport a challenge. No staff on-site; cleaning staff appears for a couple of hours in the morning (and does an excellent job!). Public space is between rooms so voices can be heard if people are using the area. Keys are presented on VERY large chains which makes it challenging to carry them when going out (they are needed for access to the street door; see "no staff on site"). Would have appreciated more information on what was nearby and directions to public transportation; there was nothing in the hotel addressing this.
Our host was waiting for us on the street. He told us about the city highlights and its history. Free water and coffee. Comfortable bed and excellent shower.
Boutique quite, touch of chic!
Very good location, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, shops, as well as old buildings and tourist attractions. Very easy to catch tram or buses to other sights. e.g. Guggenheim museum and airport.
The cistern was quite noisy...(probably due to an eco-friendly water reuse plumbing system...so we accepted it)
location, coffee and water on tap, lots of local info, space to sit and relax, bedrooms very comfortable and bathrooms very well equipped
my room had a window to the street but the others did not, and found this a bit claustrophobic (we were staying for five nights). also there was no fire escape map
