Score from 350 reviews Good
no view, but for one night was not an issue
+location. center of old city +parking. it is hard competition to find normal parking place in malaga if you are trevelling by car +helpful and friendly staff
-hard to find if you are travelling by car, ask for directions and instructions -hotel looks like a bit old -small room size
We enjoy our holiday in Malaga and the accomodation was great and well located nearby the city centre just 10 minutes walking from the Malagueta beach and a short walk to get the public transport. We really appreciate the staff. They have been helpful and nice all the time. Our room was big enough for 2 people and toilet has been cleaned every day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and i would definetely come back there if I have a chance to go back in Malaga.
No balcony in our room
There was a cafe outside of the hotel serving reasonably priced brunch. very quiet and excellent facilities. Was small but it was not a problem as it was in the centre of all the action and so close to the pier and beaches. Fabulous stay!
No communal lounge but think it worked out okay.
Peace and quite. Efficiency of staff
Very convenient location
Somewhat not friendly and not helpful staff
This hotel is in a great location. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. Did not hear any noise during the night. We were there for only one night and it was great value for money.
The first room we were given was not cleaned and smelled like something had died in there. We were told to go back in a couple of hours. It was still untouched a few hours later. It was not possible for anyone to use that room because of the hideous smell. We complained and were given a different room which was perfectly fine. Had we not been subjected to this horrendous smell and unclean room I would not have a single negative thing to say about this hotel. I'm sure this inconvenience could have been avoided.
Everything was ok, perfect location, parking available for 12 euro/day.
The stuff was very friendly we been serve from jesus but all the stuff was very friend and helpfull
unbelivable perfect location nice and helpful staff refrigetrator in the room!!!
It is in exactly in the center, just near the cathedral, Picasso Museum, the old walls, the.beach, etc. Very nice staff. A young girl at reception gave us a lot of indications about nice paces to visit. The room was very quiet (not on the street, but without a view - however, we stayed only for sleeping in the room).
We stayed for the 2nd time in this hotel and we would definitely go back there again. The staff is most helpful, the hotel is situated in the heart of Malaga so on walking distance of all the monuments, restaurants, pubs etc. Considering this it's value for money. We had room 55 which I can recommend. No problem that they don't serve breakfast because there are lots of places where you can eat in the neighbourhood of this hotel.
It's a bit difficult to find the parking garage
Location is great
Very aged deco, greasy hair dryer (never cleaned for ages, so sticky I didn't manage to use), unreasonable shower curtain makes the whole bathroom wet, slow light sensor, dark corridor out of lift.
Good Price, Best Location, Friendly Staff.
In some rooms no way to see sunlight. Very loud air condition.
I have stayed here several times now ( about five) and love this hotel. The staff have almost always been exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming ( see other panel for the exception to this)
The most recent time we stayed the woman on the desk was unfriendly and brusque. This was very disappointing as all my previous experiences have been the opposite: it has been part of the pleasure of going to Carlos V that I am recognised and welcomed in a personal way.
The convenience of the location meant it was very easy to explore the centro historico on foot. Also the parking facility was great.
It was quite complicated to find the hotel whilst driving. So many one way streets plus you are not allowed into the zone without informing police of your credentials. Consequently we parked, found the hotel on foot then followed the instructions the staff gave us.
Really close to everything, we could see the cathedral from our room. Easy walking distance to all the big sights in Malaga, the Alcazaba and Roman Theatre are just around the corner. Lots of great bars like all Pimpi are about 2 minutes away. Clean, big rooms with a nice bathroom and good bath. Good a.c in the heat. Would definitely recommend for a city break.
Impossible to find without an excellent sat nav! We drove around for about 30 minutes and could not find the hotel or parking. It's in a very popular area and the road outside looks pedestrianised. We ended up parking in a car park in the main centre and takin a cab to the hotel. It cost 5€ each time but we would never have found it with the car.
We stayed in two single rooms. They was pretty large, quite, clean and good in general. The room has large bathroom with shower or bath. Hotel is situated near cathedral and the Alcazaba entrance in walking destination from Malagueta beach, park, port. Not far from airport bus and airport train. 30 min to the railway station by walk. 5 min to Picasso museum. Helpful personnel. Fast WiFi free Internet. Best choice for it's price as for me.
Everything was pretty good.
It was so well situated. Just a couple of minutes from Picasso museum, Cathedral Roman Theatre etc. Lots of places to eat. Clean, pleasant staff, quiet. Great value.
price/quality TOP. In the center of the city, comfortable, clean and the staff was courteous and always available to help the guests. highly recommended
Location, value for money, wi-fi
The location was the best we have ever had right in the centre but in a quiet location! The bed was comfortable, shower room excellent.
Nothing to add
Great location, everything is at your doorstep. Beach is just 10 mins away and most sites are in walking distance. Staff were very helpful with any request we had.
Room had no windows so there was no natural light in the bed room. Only window was in the bathroom.
Super friendly staff, genuinely interested in the well being of their guests
