There was parking available and it is in an excellent location to see the older part of town with the museum, cathedral, and alcazaba. There's plenty of shopping close by and it's not far from the paseo maritimo. The employees of Carlos V were very kind and helpful. They were the best part!

Location is outstanding. You are right in the heart of the city. Friendly, very helpful English speaking staff. Recommend

Nothing for the price

The hotel has 3 major advantages : location, price-friendly and own parking ( very nearby ). No breakfast is a non-problem because around the hotel are lot of enjoyable facilities.

The 3 advantages of the hotel make the owners a bit lazy. The rooms are outdated, also the TV-set. Sometimes noisy with neighbours ( tiny walls ? ) and not always clean.

As always, benefited from excellent situation.The staff were friendly and efficient.

Room small and a bit claustrophobic. Thee was an initial suggestion there would be a fee for keeping my bicycle in the storage room which was the first time this was asked after staying in many hostals and hotels in Spain. This was a shame because I made them aware I had a bicycle at the time of booking without any cost being mentioned.

Friendly staff, helpful and discreet. A very good central city hotel.

Rather small bed for two large humans. A bit on the noisy side, on a saturday night, and a hell of a job to find a parking space.

The staff were fantastic, and the hotel itself was way beyond anything you'd expect from a Two Star in the uk. If I ever go back to Malaga, this is where I'm staying.

Location, Location, Location. This hotel was the best I possibly could have found.

A bit spartan and the WiFi was limited. But, for value and location, it was excellent.

A nice little hotel, well furnished for my needs and situated in Malaga centre. Plenty of restaurants/cafes within 'view' from the front door.

No dislikes but as with every where in Spain today I think the price is getting a little high.

Situated right in the middle of the city center. It is hard to get in because the hotel is located in pedestrian area of the city center. But they have a parking underground just in front of the hotel (12 EUR/day). They will ask your car number plates for the police to allow you to enter with the car in this area. Once you are there you will find is the ideal place to start exploring Malaga, close walking to almost everything (eg:Malaga Cathedral is 50 meters away, Roman Theater 150 meters away) The staff is very friendly,good English and willing to help you with whatever you need. Room is big and clean,same is bathroom. I paid 80 eur for 2 nights in January which I consider good value for the money. It is definitely a choice for Malaga.

Location is rellay great. You can go everywher by walking.

Room is really small and there's no window in the room. But considering the cost, it's ok.

Wonderful central position of hotel. Everything walkable. Amid pedestrianised idea with Tapas bars, excellent shops and historic buildings. From our room a view of the Cathedral !!!

We always stay at Carlos V when visiting Malaga. It is a practical hotel set right in the old centre of Malaga near the cathedral. Easy to get to - the rooms are practical with heating & air con - always clean & the staff always helpful.

the location wasw excellent and it was good value for money.

I disliked the plastic sheeting under the mattress and would like the use of tea making facilities in the bedrooms.

The location was just super, right behind the Cathedral and only a km or so from the train station. It is easy to find and for a two star hotel it has everything I was looking for. They had not forgotten my little request so it was nice.

The bed was a little soft, maybe they are about to change them.

It was perfectly adequate for my needs and close to a lot of places of interest within walking distance
