In Granadas historic quarter, this charming hotel has been lovingly refurbished from a beautiful, historic town house.
Score from 645 reviews Wonderful
The 16th-century Palacio De Santa Ines, in the Unesco World Heritage Albayzín district, is a 5 minute walk from Granada Cathedral.
Score from 762 reviews Very good
This stunning 16th-Century property, perfectly set overlooking the Alhambra, has been beautifully restored, inspired by the poetry written by Juan Ramón Jiménez in Granada.
Score from 192 reviews Wonderful
Alhambra Palace is just outside the Alhambra’s ancient walls, offering spectacular views of the city of Granada. It features stylish rooms with Moorish-inspired décor, free Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
Score from 1544 reviews Excellent
Staf was particularly service minded. Esthetiacally environment. Wonderful breakfast. Silent. The smell of coffee in the morning.
The towels were not fresh, just the first morning. The instructions howe to the hotel was not complete. We would suggest a better description how to come to the hotel.
A narrow alley leads to an impressive but anonymous studded door, which gives, via a little lobby, onto a supremely elegant courtyard. The 1st impression is everything a visit to the Moorish heritage of Granada should be about. The calm, refined decorations, food, atmosphere & service put our stay here way beyond even a good hotel experience. Our particular thanks to Raoul for his informed, knowledgeable & apposite advice on where when & what to go and see/ do/ eat.
Nothing, except that as my wife cannot eat flour, she could not sample the wonderful daily breakfast cakes.
Location of this lovely palace with its patio is perfect, and we were treated as friends rather than guests. Highly recommended.
First and foremost Raul was amazing. His hospitality was above and beyond. The hotel itself was a little piece of Granada culture. Would come back over and over.
Great location, great service and great room
Staff, personal, homely feeling, very relaxed, intimate. After somewhat of a bad start what could have turned into a bad experience was very professionally rectified by Raul who was very calm and collective when I was expressing my displeasure at the directions to the hotel.... he made me feel guilty when he explained the situation in regards to access to the old town....on top of this the home made cakes & yogurt.....WOW
Bed and Pillows
Staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely tranquil terrace
Nightclub nearby was quite noisy however, the shutters did help
The location, gracious welcome. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast, facilities fabulous. Great recommendation for restaurants and city must sees
Helpful staff got me a ticket for a tour of the Alhambra palaces at short notice. Quirky and comfortable lounge area. Enclosed garden.
Hard to find. Room keys was awkward to use and bathroom door didn't close properly, but these are small complaints as the overall experience was very good.
Raul, Alessandro (I hope the spelling is close) and staff were the most helpful and polite of any accommodation we have ever visited they were able to facilitate excursions that seemed impossible to obtain. Staying at the Palacio is like visiting a beautifully furnished home with a blend of modern comforts and personal items balanced with an exquisite collection of artifacts from bygone history. We recommend this accommodation very highly.
There is nothing we didn't like. However to find this wonderful gem is not for the faint hearted. There are a lot of cobblestones, some steps and minimalistic signage to negotiate. Make sure to read the emails before arrival and memorize them. Follow these and you are in for a treat.
The hotel was very much part of the attractions of this ancient town. A renaissance setting. Wondeful
Parking the car!
Family home feel accomadition with no 1 class. We had no complaints. Good position
Raul and Alejandro were so helpful, arranging a car to and from the airport, excellent lunch and dinner recommendations, and assisting with our every need. The house is very charming with a beautiful tiered patio for breakfast, drinks or a snack. We were only there for a day but it was definitely memorable! Can't wait to go back!
The location was superb and the house delightful like staying in a family residence. Helpful staff who were always pleasant and helpful whatever we wanted to know or request for example restaurant ideas, booking early morning taxi extra towels etc Lovely ambience in the house and garden which promoted cool calm peace for us in a busy hot city
Nothing really significant or that we could not overcome for example one of the staff could not understand us but this is as much our problem as theirs!
The hotel has a great team that run the hotel, Raul is one of the friendliest and helpful persons I have met and nothing was to much for him. The Location is perfect right in the center of everything but still the hotel is a haven of peace and quite.
Some of the towels we're past ther best (the white ones). A bit more choice for breakfast eg poached or scrambles eggs but that's it
Wonderful helpful staff - I was arriving with a late flight, and someone waited for me, and then walked me to a restaurant at midnight so I could get some food. Excellent location - looking out at Alhambra in the heart of the old town - easy walk to everything (or a 4 euro taxi ride if you are not a walker) I had the Alhambra suite with the terrace - an incredible experience to fall asleep and to wake up to the views. Spent an hour relaxing on the terrace with my morning coffee looking at Alhambra - quite an experience. Oh, and the bed only have one mattress! - if you've traveled enough around Europe, you know they tend to just put 2 mattresses side by side in king beds. Not having the "divider" is great! All in all, highly recommend!
It was excellent stay, great location, great breakfast, and very informative reception. We had great time here.
Location in the Albacin Beautiful old building and garden Breakfasts friendly staff Large Room size Views of Alhambra from bedroom and terrace
Could have done with an umbrella for the sun terrace Shower was not that efficient
The garden, breakfast, the house itself, bedroom, staff, everything really!
The hotel is very small, only 7 rooms, so it is an unique experience. The building has a wonderful history and the staff was terrific. The breakfast was beautiful and good too! The neighborhood is historic and really magical.
The pool is tiny and the hotel is quite difficult to reach by car.
The friendly staff and the big big bed.
The distance to parking (which was 25 euro for 20 hrs) and the Price of the breakfast. 16 euro is not much, but it is if you only need a piece of fruit and a glass of juice.
The location of the Casa is perfect! It was an easy 10 minute walk to the entrance of the Alhambra. However, the best part of our stay at the Casa had to be the staff. We let them know ahead of time that we would stay with them as part of our Honeymoon. Upon our arrival they showed us to our room and there were fresh roses, a bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting for us. The next morning, a member of the staff asked us if they could move us to the suite, for no additional cost. Since it was our Honeymoon, they wanted to take good care of us. The suite was gorgeous, with a sitting room, and access to a private balcony with views of the Alhambra. We also loved the garden and the (very cold!) Arab bath. Oh! And the Casa has some deep and interesting history which the staff knew all about. It was like staying in a very comfortable and inviting museum. All in all, it was a magical stay at the Casa Palacio Carmen del Cobertizo
Staff took care of us from requests for reservations, trips outside Granada, and early packed breakfast for an early flight.. The house was very charming especially the courtyard and clean and well kept..
Could add portable A/Cs in rooms without especially during summertime as it could get quite hot
Very friendly knowledgeable staff very homely great location beautiful garden and setting
