Situated in the historic district of Albayzin, at the foot of the Alhambra, this offers unique accommodations within a noble house dating back to the end of the 15th century.
Score from 248 reviews Wonderful
The hotel was very much part of the attractions of this ancient town. A renaissance setting. Wondeful
Parking the car!
Raul and Alejandro were so helpful, arranging a car to and from the airport, excellent lunch and dinner recommendations, and assisting with our every need. The house is very charming with a beautiful tiered patio for breakfast, drinks or a snack. We were only there for a day but it was definitely memorable! Can't wait to go back!
The location was superb and the house delightful like staying in a family residence. Helpful staff who were always pleasant and helpful whatever we wanted to know or request for example restaurant ideas, booking early morning taxi extra towels etc Lovely ambience in the house and garden which promoted cool calm peace for us in a busy hot city
Nothing really significant or that we could not overcome for example one of the staff could not understand us but this is as much our problem as theirs!
The hotel has a great team that run the hotel, Raul is one of the friendliest and helpful persons I have met and nothing was to much for him. The Location is perfect right in the center of everything but still the hotel is a haven of peace and quite.
Some of the towels we're past ther best (the white ones). A bit more choice for breakfast eg poached or scrambles eggs but that's it
Wonderful helpful staff - I was arriving with a late flight, and someone waited for me, and then walked me to a restaurant at midnight so I could get some food. Excellent location - looking out at Alhambra in the heart of the old town - easy walk to everything (or a 4 euro taxi ride if you are not a walker) I had the Alhambra suite with the terrace - an incredible experience to fall asleep and to wake up to the views. Spent an hour relaxing on the terrace with my morning coffee looking at Alhambra - quite an experience. Oh, and the bed only have one mattress! - if you've traveled enough around Europe, you know they tend to just put 2 mattresses side by side in king beds. Not having the "divider" is great! All in all, highly recommend!
It was excellent stay, great location, great breakfast, and very informative reception. We had great time here.
Location in the Albacin Beautiful old building and garden Breakfasts friendly staff Large Room size Views of Alhambra from bedroom and terrace
Could have done with an umbrella for the sun terrace Shower was not that efficient
The garden, breakfast, the house itself, bedroom, staff, everything really!
The hotel is very small, only 7 rooms, so it is an unique experience. The building has a wonderful history and the staff was terrific. The breakfast was beautiful and good too! The neighborhood is historic and really magical.
The pool is tiny and the hotel is quite difficult to reach by car.
The friendly staff and the big big bed.
The distance to parking (which was 25 euro for 20 hrs) and the Price of the breakfast. 16 euro is not much, but it is if you only need a piece of fruit and a glass of juice.
The location of the Casa is perfect! It was an easy 10 minute walk to the entrance of the Alhambra. However, the best part of our stay at the Casa had to be the staff. We let them know ahead of time that we would stay with them as part of our Honeymoon. Upon our arrival they showed us to our room and there were fresh roses, a bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting for us. The next morning, a member of the staff asked us if they could move us to the suite, for no additional cost. Since it was our Honeymoon, they wanted to take good care of us. The suite was gorgeous, with a sitting room, and access to a private balcony with views of the Alhambra. We also loved the garden and the (very cold!) Arab bath. Oh! And the Casa has some deep and interesting history which the staff knew all about. It was like staying in a very comfortable and inviting museum. All in all, it was a magical stay at the Casa Palacio Carmen del Cobertizo
Staff took care of us from requests for reservations, trips outside Granada, and early packed breakfast for an early flight.. The house was very charming especially the courtyard and clean and well kept..
Could add portable A/Cs in rooms without especially during summertime as it could get quite hot
Very friendly knowledgeable staff very homely great location beautiful garden and setting
The welcome and the friendliness and helpfulness was brilliant. A beautiful historic building in a lovely setting . Lovely spread at breakfast and drinks available all the time.
A bit pricey - despite its loveliness.
The view was excellent. Cleanliness was great Staff very helpful and attentive. Outside pato area was nice.
The pool not clean or useable due to blue pipe and leaves Area surrounding quite overgrown. Don't expect a pool
We liked the unusual entrance, interior, mezzanine and outside space. Very pleasantly surprised with the whole hotel bearing in mind it's location
No breakfast offered and no bar
Great staff. The restuarant recomendation was very helpful.
Very difficult to find. Need a sign. A bit expensive for what was provided.
Very nice and warm staff. They want you to feel at home at this casa. View on the Alhambra from the terrace. Fresh lemonade on arrival. Breakfast in the backyard. The casa is like a colonial style home and fits very well in the quarter of Albicin. Close to walk to Mirador Nicholas, close to Plaza Neive and somehow close to Alhambra (considering it is on a hill nearby). Tea and coffee and a cookie available all day.
What didn't I like? Well, hard to say.. Maybe the selection of the food at breakfast? Maybe the price.
The staff in a word, excellent.
Bedding a little uncomfortable, covers too hot or too cold. No air con
Staff were lovely.value for money.
Service and facility
no enough warm water for bath
The staff do treat you as a guest not a customer. Little touches like phoning restaurants to ensure you have a good table is particularly nice.
The bedroom air con needs fixing and the staff did say they were unaware of the problem and would attend to it.
This is a unique hotel where guests are made to feel at home. We loved the tranquil, cool garden to relax in and the facility to make ourselves some tea, or help ourselves to fruit, whenever we wanted. The location in Granada is perfect.
We were told that the breakfast was 16 euros each. We thought that was expensive and so we never tried it.
