Excellent and polite staff and delightful bedroom
Map showing location needs improvement
- Close / walking distance to all major sights - On a quiet side street but very close to main area for drinks and tapas - Free afternoon tea is great - Email directly from the hotel after booking.com confirmation with address and directs was also excellent
- potentially noisy in rooms when people are chatting in courtyard but never happened late at night
We spend part of our honeymoon at this hotel, and everything was perfect. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and they even gave us a free bottle of cava to celebrate. We could see the Alhambra from our window, which made the whole experience magical.
This is a wonderful hotel from A to Z. The topper was the delicious complimentary afternoon tea. It was the ideal way to relax in a lovely atmosphere after a day of touring. I highly recommend Casa 1800 for anyone who is seeking a small hotel with comfort and good service.
Good location at the base of the Albaicin. There is a free afternoon tea, coffee, bottles of water, and snack in the open-air courtyard. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is luxuriously and tastefully decorated. Good bed. Quiet... except at breakfast.
Room was on the interior of the first floor and had windows that opened into the dining area/ courtyard rather than to outside world, so felt a bit like a luxury cell and was loud at breakfast time. Would stay here again but pay more and make sure we stay on upper floors. Suggest taking taxi or Alhambra bus to Alhambra, because hotel is at base of very high, long, steep hill atop which Alhambra sits.
Hotel staffs were helpful before and during our stay. Charming hotel, room with a nice view of alhambra. Good location and short walk to all attractions.
Room was really lovely but a bit small.
Amazing place full of character right in the heart of Granada! We had 12 nights staying all over Spain in 8 different hotels (mainly 4 or 5 star) and the staff were by far the best in this hotel - so attentive and helpful. We decided on breakfast in the Hotel after we arrived and it was excellent value for money. Comfy beds with luxurious bedding make for an excellent nights sleep! :-) Can't wait to go back there!
That we didn't book in there other hotel in Sevilla! Also rated highly.
service of male staff
Excellent location, clean, great staff.
Looking for a great place to stay? You found it! The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful! A little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the time to go and relax or enjoy the shops. You won't be sorry.
The hotel felt like the home I grew up in. Deeply Spanish and Mediterrenean, yet with the charm of Southern Spain and most precisely, unforgettable Granada. I was so tempted to just stay and let others see the sights; sitting in the central indoors court felt exquisite.
friendly staff, great location and clean, nice decorated room
During the booking process I precisely asked for a room in a quite area far away from the elevator, conference room and so on. My comments have been ignored and I also have not been informed about the ongoing constructions next to the hotel. A sleepless night makes it a not that nice experience
The location, the staff, the quietness.
Great location. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Nice afternoon tea.
No air conditioning and our rooms, which opened onto an interior open-air courtyard, didn't have very good cross ventilation so they were very warm, especially for sleeping.
A great place. Excellent service. Generous. Rooms on the top floors recommended.
Nothing not to like
Stayed in a junior suite.. Asked to move from room 11 (no WiFi, double bed, odd layout) to room 8 (courtyard, WiFi, King size bed, good size) Afternoon tea was great and breakfast was decent Good Base to explore the city
Construction noise, which made it impossible to sleep in or have an afternoon nap. Otherwise, everything was great!
It was like staying in a Shakespearean set! The rooms were beautifully designed and very comfortable. Eating in the central terrace was very relaxing and atmospheric. The included afternoon tea meant we didn't spend much on food whilst in Granada, because we didn't need a large evening meal. Breakfast and afternoon tea included fresh breads and pastries, cheeses and hams, jams, fruits and yoghurts. We had a problem at the beginning of our stay which was quickly and pleasantly resolved by the very efficient reception staff.
Nothing! Our favourite property in a week's stay in Spain.
Location excellent. Pick a room with alambhra view. Beautifully restored building. Will definitely be staying here again.
Excellent bed Great staff Well appointed room
Noisy No bar No car park
The hotel location is excellent. You can walk around the center, visit all the old buildings, tapas bars and cafes. Great choice for a quick holiday!
The taxi can only stop by the allay of the hotel because it is a historical preserved area. So if you have a big luggage, it is a bit troublesome. Plus, the hotel has no lift, so no big luggage is better.
so friendly staff . our stay in this hotel was so awesome
This place has the feel of an elegant boutique hotel. It is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. A nice touch is an afternoon tea for guests which is much needed as everyone eats dinner so late in Spain. The Alhambra of course is the big draw in Granada and it is exquisite. The Cathedral Granada is magnificent...a must see! The hotel recommended a gypsy zambra show that was full of energy and passion. Zambra is similar to flamenco. So much fun!
Room 26: wonderful view of the Al Hambra from the window.
