beautiful bold traditional spanish stone building. very warm and homely house. a lovely open fire to welcome you... the evenings were cool so this was lovely. beautiful traditional bedroom and bathroom. very warm welcome and freindly staff, although they didnt speak english they made you feel welcome and looked after you very well. the evening meal was 3 course menu del dia which was very nice with lovely tender beef for mains, very reasonably prices 14euro pp 3 course with wine, water and bread included. the breakfast was fantastic. i loved casa brandariz! great value for money.

We loved everything about it. We were doing the camino and after reading reviews we decided we had to go. We loved it so much we returned for a 2nd night even if we had to take a taxi. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic and Carmen and Eduardo spoiled us. There is a huge fireplace in the entrance foyer and to sit by a warm fireafter a long day of walking and enjoy a good glass of wine was just what we needed to get us ready for the next day on the camino. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Great, great place, highly recommend it!!!!

It is a old stone house with tons of ambiance and with wonderful homemade food and friendly staff. awesome place. I would love to stay longer but was on a pilgramidge to Santiago.

The setting, the food, the beautifully restored buildings and the friendliness of the staff were all wonderful. Highly recommended!

Myself and my husband stayed here overnight while walking the camino; a most welcome refuge at the end of a very wet day. Casa Brandariz is an utterly charming country house, beautifully restored. Owner, Eduardo cannot do enough for you. Our bedroom was large and comfortable. We thawed out around a huge log fire with fellow guests, enjoyed complementery coffee, cake/ drinks and were served the most delicious home cooked food at dinner and breakfast. As Casa Brandariz is 12k away from Arzua and camino route,they offer a free shuttle taxi service, on request. This was a lovely experience.

Very homely, welcoming with lovely fireside. The evening meal was excellent and the breakfast substantial. Amazing value for money.It is a little off the beaten track but worth the detour

The food was t op notch. The service was excellent. It is very quiet and peaceful. The couple who run it are very accomadating. They come and pick you up from the town of Arzua. We were walking the camino and stopped at information to find out how to get there. The woman called them and they sent a taxi to pick us up and said that it was included in the cost. They accommadated our request for gluten free foods too.

This is Spains best kept secret. Possibly the best small hotel in Spain. A little off the Camino but I would recommend it to everyone. The owner will pick you up from Arzur and leave you back the next morning. Do not miss this one. The people and the food is worth a visit. Everything is top class.

magical, amazing, special,unique ...I could go on & on. Starting with our host and hostess we had the best hospitality experience of our month in Spain and then there is the unbelievable food! Thank you Eduardo.

Absolutely the best breakfast we have ever had! Eduardo makes a gurmanic feast everytime he prepares meal. An extraordinary atmosphere in a very old renovated building with a lot of old things, but extremely comfortable and clean.

Friendliness of the owners and staff, they made us feel that we were old friends, in fact we were at home. The food is great, probably one of the best Galician food that we had the pleasure to enjoy. Certainly we will stay again in Casa Brandariz, whenever we have the chance to be back in Galicia. Furthermore, it is important to note that they provide both ways shuttle service between Arzua to Casa Brandariz (aprox. 8 Kms) at no extra charge.

It is a hotel owned by a family which operates it as well. The food is outstanding. Mari Carmen and his son Eduardo are the best hostesses you may ever find. You feel as I you were the owner of this fantastic country house. I recomend it without hesitation. Simplemente excelente.

The best accommodation of our 3-week holiday in Spain. Very nice environment and welcoming staff. The hotel is well renovated with taste and respect for the rural context. Rooms are nice and comfortable, no two rooms are the same and we were offered a choice after visiting. Comfortable lounge to sit in or just hang out on the beautiful landscape, next to medieval church. For suffering very minor inconvenience due to a family celebration during the afternoon, staff arranged for the musicians to stop by in our "private" dining room before leaving. Most enjoyable experience.

Watch your head, some doors are low (180cm).

la ubicacion lejos de las grandes ciudades

Tanto la casa, como las personas que la llevan son excelentes. Las instalaciones espléndidas, las cenas y desayunos con productos artesanos muy ricos, licores caseros, conversaciones agradables,recomendaciones para visitas, rutas y sitios para comer, silencio y tranquilidad... Muy recomendable!

Het is een prachtig historisch pand van zo'n 500 jaar oud. Hier slapen is een unieke ervaring. Daar dragen de oude meubelstukken ook aan bij. Het brengen en halen vanaf de camino in arzua wordt perfect geregeld. Het avondeten en ontbijt is erg lekker. Bij de taart eet je je vingers op. Er is een mooie zitkamer waar de kachel goed gestookt wordt en een sfeervolle hal/ ruimte met open haard die het hart van het huis genoemd mag worden. Het huis geeft een mooi beeld hoe een galicisch (heren-) boerenhuis er van binnen uitzag/uitziet.

Dat de eigenaren geen engels spreken is alleen jammer: omdat het dan nog leuker zou zijn. Ze doen verder uitstekend hun best om met je te communiceren. Verder geen enkel commentaar.

El trato recibido por parte de todos. Es una típica casa rural... de las de antaño, muy bien conservada y con todo su encanto. ¡Preciosa!

Se podría mejorar con televisión y conexión wifi (internet) en cada habitación, no solo en las zonas comunes.

La amabilidad tan maravillosa del personal

Absoluatamente todo, el lugar precioso, muy acogerdor, la atención de primera, la comida deliciosa y abundante. 100% recomendable!!

Ein familienfreundliches Landhaus. Urig und gemütlich. Gutes Essen mit frischen Produkten. Zimmer waren - im Oktober - relativ kalt. Die Heizung wurde nur für kurze Zeit eingeschaltet.

Una casa con mucho encanto y una casa para no olvidar nunca cuando viajes por galicia gracias
