Stayed for 5 nights. Excellent location. Only 4 stops by metro (directly across the street) to the city center. Despite this, surprisingly calm and quiet evenings to spend on the roof terrace. Good continental breakfast, clean room with individual design. Everything worked, including WiFi. Many thanks to señora Diana! Would recommend to friends and would stay again.

Everything was fine. Suggestion - impose the mark at the very entrance to indicate which button should be pressed to enter.

First impression its a quirky, stylish place and Cecile who checked us in and organised breakfast was very nice & helpful.

Not central and if you don't know the city be ready to factor high taxi fares into your stay, Its on 6th floor of an apt block,a tiny lift up and we needed 3 different keys to get in & out, despite booking a private bathroom it was separate to the room along a corridor which needed another key, not ideal in the middle of the night, no toiletries as advertised, shower over a high bath is a deathtrap, no mat and curtain kept falling down, second night the air-con stopped working, nobody around to speak to,so little to no sleep in intense heat! the door outside our room which led onto the terrace was very old, the door handle mechanism broke and when I pointed this out I was told I would have to pay for the repair! Thankfully I speak Spanish, as the staffs knowledge of English was virtually non existent. I explained that the handle must have been 50 years old at least, and as a gesture I left a 5 Euro tip with the housekeeper that she was happy to accept, subsequently I discovered they had taken 50 Euros from my account despite her agreeing that was the end of the matter! We wanted to try somewhere different but this place proves you can't go wrong with the usual 3/4* hotels with 24 hr reception and a Manager on hand to speak to, in my opinion there are far better, cheaper more central places to stay in BCN, we will not be returning to Casa Estilo

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and cosy. The terrace was great for relaxation. Variety of shops available nearby, train station is a short walk away. Good internet connection. Thank you for the great hospitality and lovely time.

The lift was a bit temperamental!

The stay in Barcelona was enriched by the accommodation at Casa con Estilo. Diana is an amazing hostess and cook, we enjoyed breakfast every morning. The two terraces are simply amazing, and we could relax with beautiful views while having breakfast or while drinking a cold beer in the evening. The rooms are very stylish and clean, and the entire house is very well decorated.

air-conditioner not working in our room, although it seems that we don't need it. It might be just temporary.

Excellent value for money! Charming little hotel with a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It helps if you know some Spanish, but even if it's only few words, you will survive :) We had the biggest room Lorca, which is one of the two rooms upstairs. There is a huge terrace with nice views outside these two rooms and it can be used by all guests. But there is only 7 rooms in this hotel, and we never had to "share" this terrace with anyone. Breakfast room is a cozy old dining room and there is a second terrace with tables for eating your breakfast outside. This hotel is not right in the city center, but the area is nice with great local restaurants, like Hidalgo right across a street. And the train station El Putxet is just outside, you can get to Plaça Catalunya in just 7 minutes with L7. We have been visiting Barcelona numerous times, and decided to try different location this time, and really really liked staying here. We will return!

There is no TV or fridge in the room, but didn't really miss them either.

Very beautiful "old school" room with huge terrace, good beds and bathroom. (Choose the "Superior Room"!) Very friendly staff and a charming atmosphere. And though in the city, very quiet! Next Metro-Station "El Putxet" within less than 150 m distance....

Info in English is missing in many aspects.

Nice house. Internet access on computer in the hall.

It's a B&B so no reception to speak of. The (nice) ladies you see are there to receive payment and prepare breakfast - not to take decisions. There was an air lock in the heating so I could not sleep for the first two nights - a real nightmare. I was eventually moved into another room (which was very cold). The air lock was not fixed and I felt a lot for the other guests... Payment is made on arrival. I wouldn't come back.

Location was okay! Old building with character - however finding the entrance is a challenge, as is access to the lift and room (stairs to level 7). No assistance offered.

Tired apartment without professional hotel staff (housekeeping only). Misleading advertising - promises lots but fails to deliver. Parking: Advert states " Private parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not needed) and charges are applicable." but in reality Casa con Estillo (CCE) has no parking and does not assist you in securing it. We had to negotiate with a public car park attendant - std commercial charge 36 Euro/day with discount for stays of 4 or 7 days. WiFi in our "Double room with terrace" was inadequate - often had to go and sit in the lobby to get a reliable connection on any device (iPad or laptop). No response to emails sent to CCE. If you don't speak Spanish - you may have difficulty communicating with staff. No sink/bath plugs in detached (down corridor) bathroom. No glasses for water in room - plastic mugs were provided on arrival with a jug of water - these were removed on day 2. Shower head stuffed. Furnishings not as shown in photos. All these inadequacies could have easily been remedied for very few Euro.
