The Hospederia Señorío de Casalarreina is a great place to stay while exploring the Rioja Region.
Score from 131 reviews Very good
The hotel in the tiny town of Brinas is super-charming and spotlessly clean. The location just outside of Haro is great for visiting the bodegas there.
We were literally the only people in the hotel for 3 of the 4 days we were there - we didn't even see the proprietor until day 3! Check-in was difficult as the hotel was locked and deserted when we arrived at 8:00 p.m. Everything worked out thanks to kind neighbors and Google Translate, but it was all a bit more stressful than we expected.
Very dissapointed that there were no owners of the Casa rurual living in the house, so there was no personal service, and that we had to go to a Bar, around the corner of the Casa Rurual, to have breakfast.
The village of Brinas is a small village near Haro, not far awazy from LaGuardia, so conveniently located if you want to visit the vinery's of La Rioja. The owners are friendly and helpful. Low budget choice.
The athmosphere in the room was very sticky. A lot of dust had gathered on the furniture. Sleeping with open window was impossible, due to the noise in the street and the church clock in the immediate vicinity. We moved out after one night with no sleep at all.
Cean place very affordable
No will fi available
the geografic situation , right in the middle of the vineyard.
Small pretty village close to vineyards in haro must have car No where to eat in village except breakfast
Wifi was very slow too slow to be of any use in 2014
A charming little hotel in an old medieval town house in Brinas (itself a charming village), where it was easy to establish one's 'home' base for a week's exploration of the Rioja region. Golf half an hour's drive, Bilbao and the Guggenheim an hour's drive away, Haro five kilometers, or a 3 km walk along the river Ebro from the village. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Fresh orange juice for breakfast!
The restaurant 'Meson Chomin' at the back of the hotel, and linked by management was pretty disappointing, except for the fresh orange juice in the morning.
