Easy walk across the road to the beach and right next door to great restaurant Pradillo.

Our TV was tiny and had no subtitles/teletext in English and the Wifi strength was really poor even when our bedroom was next to reception.

We liked the price and that we could take our dog. The staff are friendly and the room was perfectly clean. The location is perfect, just two minutes to the beach and five minutes into the main village on foot. The hotel doesn't have a car park but there is parking on the street outside and the side streets leading to the beach. There is a small swimming pool in a gated area at the back of the hotel and a seating area for coffee and breakfast at the front. We have been regular visitors to Zahara over the past 25 years and would definately stay at Casa Grande again.

Our room at the front was a little noisy with street sounds at times during the night but, to be fair, we had our windows open and we live high up in mountains so we have silence and total darkness at night. It would probably be fine for anyone else!

Good location if you want to go to the beach ,which is a couple of minutes walk away and about 5 mins into the centre of the village.

We went down to breakfast(which is not included) at 11.04 to be told that the kitchen closed at 11.00.So much for laid back Andalucia. Anyway, had an excellent breakfast in the cafeteria across the road. the difference between good and excellent.

The staff were very friendly. The quirky decor of the hotel is a hove of hidden treasures old and new. It is situated in a good position to the main town of Zahara de los Atunes which is about a 5min walk away and very close to the beach just cross the road and walk down and on the beach. The restaurant next door is very good value and superb food make sure you book! We were able to drink a bottle of wine which we had taken with us, on the terrace when we came back to the hotel after eating out in the evening the terrace and gardens were well maintained.

The hotel in general was clean but we had a couple of issues *the breakfast is laid out which enables the ants to get into the bread basket as it was uncovered and on the donuts which also were uncovered. I live in Spain and know that this happens here with the ants but other nationalities may find it off putting. *the room had a window box which was not maintained our room faced the main road remove them rather than having dead flowers in them which are on show to the public. *our room door did not shut by just closing it the catch did not catch we had to lock the door from the inside to keep it closed. *on arrival I found 2 used crumpled shower gel sachets on the side which had not been clean away.
