The most exclusive Costa del Sol resort, Marbella is the standard for beaches and beautiful people. Expensive yachts line the marinas here and in nearby Puerto Banús, where exotic cars outnumber sedans. It also has the best clubs, as well as designer stores and trendy seafood restaurants. Be on the look out for the celebrities that vacation here or live along the Golden Mile, home to only the most extravagant villas and Marbella hotels.
Marbella beaches stretch over 16 miles, all set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains, best viewed from a boat. It is even possible to spot a dolphin. The beaches at Puerto Banús and San Pedro Alcántara are Blue Flag beaches, while the most popular are Venus and La Fontanilla in the center of town. Artola Beach also has protected dunes.
Attractions in Marbella include 10 Dalí sculptures on Avenida del Mar, and the cobbled Old Town streets lined with colourful Andalusian-style houses. Picturesque Orange Square has sidewalk cafes under the shade of orange trees, and nearby are ruins of a Moorish castle and the 16th-century town walls.
Other pursuits include horseracing at the Hipodromo Costa del Sol, and the area’s golf courses, including one designed by national hero Seve Ballesteros.
Malaga Airport is the nearest and Booking.com has a great range of accommodations in Marbella and the surrounding villages.

The location was perfect. we had stayed in that complex previously and being right on the beach was brilliant The apartment was well-equipped and very comfortable. We ate more in the old town which was great. Getting around is easy- walking or cycling is the best answer.
The not so good news was communication. There was no information provided with the keys. We didn't get the password for the internet until halfway through the holiday. The agent didn't answer their phone and was very slow to respond. Most bizarrely it seems we still haven't paid! Despite card details on booking.com. The agent asked us to go to the office to pay and was not there. Said she would provide bank details and never did, I am sure there is an explanation but it is an experience we never have had before. We are still happy to pay!

I chose Marbella as we hadn't stayed there before, being furtherSouth the climate was warmer, it didn't disappoint! there were 2 days of (much needed) rain at the end.
We stayed very close to "Orange Square", a truly delightful area, full of small shops, eating places and history. There were many tourists visiting the area, (coach parties) which simply added to the vibe. We found the municipal market, great for fresh fish! We walked all around, there is the castle, parks, and beaches. Busses are cheap to get around. On our return we had a direct coach from the bus station (top of Marbella) to the airport for 6 Euros each!! Plenty of restaurants. Yes, a few homeless people, yes young African men selling items on street. pavements

Marbella is beautiful, romantic city, with old town in heart of it. All is covered with flowers and has flamenco feeling all over it. I will always remember it as a unique city with strong history and amazing views on Dali's sculptures and wide beautiful beaches.

We stayed in the old town great spot for a short break, we loved Marbella but wouldn't want to visit in high season. Avoid the really touristy tapas bars and restaurants on the main streets, tapas looks great but it is made in the morning and reheated in microwaves, go somewhere where it's made fresh by wandering around we found a lovely tapas bar in a small square Tasca de Santi in plaza Jose palomo, food and service was wonderful, but there are plenty of other little bars and restaurants you know they are good if they are full of the locals. The beach and promenade area was lovely too very clean and in in early November still warm enough for a swim in the sea.

Marbella is a beautiful beach town but considerably more...
Marbella is a beautiful beach town but considerably more expensive than nearby cities like Malaga as it is considered quite posh. If you are visiting Costa del Sol, it is a good idea to stop by Marbella to enjoy the beautiful old town but it is not a must to stay. A day trip is sufficient.
Everything was perfect. The apartment was wonderful, has everything you need. The area is so beautiful, everywhere a lot of trees and plants, perfect for relax and walks. On a walking distance you have many beaches with nice sand and clean water. The neighbourhood is reall quiet and savety. If you wish some party marbella and puerto banus are on 12-15 mins drive with car. A lot of restaurants and bars in area but you will need car for most of them, just need to keep this in mind. Acctualy this makes the Cabopino so quiet and relaxable.
It was a good stay for 5 days. Host was reachable and helpful to manage some problems left. Very good location for those who wants to enjoy beach life. A bit far away from old town tho for those who don’t have a car. But the location is very good - on the beachfron, near Niki beach, famous hotels, good restourants and shops. Balcony has see view, rooms were clean, you can find must have kitchen equipments. A bit old building, but has private parking and straight exit to the beach.
Everything was great! René and Jose are lovely and you feel very welcome! The place is just amazing and you have a perfect view on Marbella and the sea. The room and especially the outdoor area are perfect to relax and a lot of details make it to a perfect place to stay. Take a good Glas of wine and enjoy some time at the pool or drive to Marbella (approx. 10 min drive). And I do have to mention the breakfast, soooo delicious and better then in a 5 star hotel. We had a great time!
Small, cosy - boutique. Modern , comfort. Ambiance perfect, 10 min. walking from the nearest beach, which is not exiting for sunbathing or swiming, but has a long promenade for walking/running and several restaurant options for dinner.
Beds are very comfy. Breakfast - elementary, only few options, not for much eaters.
Nice for a short or silent and remote staying form hustle bustle of Puerto Banus in Marbella.
A big plus - easy hotel parking (10 eur/night).
The hotel staff are lovely, polite and so friendly.
The hotel is also very nice but could do with a refurbishment. The pool and beach areas seem dated. The furniture is not luxurious and doesn’t feel like a 5 star compared to other Marbella hotels.
It’s spacious and relaxing and the food selection is very good.
It’s at least 15-20 mins drive from central Marbella so either rent a car or taxis are needed at 25 euros each way
We stayed for 6 nights and had the most wonderful time! The staff were extremely helpful and so friendly, the rooms were comfortable and the pools/beach club were fab. We really enjoyed it. Its a little drive into Marbella and not many bars/restaurants within walking distance but the restaurants at the hotel and on the beach served amazing food. Would recommend for couples as the setting was perfect.
Excellent location the apartment was in a lovely complex which had two pools , the apartment was very modern, clean, had a beautiful view overlooking the pools. it is very close to beach, restaurants and supermarket. Marbella centre and Puerto Banus are only a 10 minute taxi ride away.
Ulrika our host was nice nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.
I had a very nice stay. check in was fast and my room was ready upon my arrival. I was invited to a welcome drink which i found very nice and different ,a touch of class. I was treated as i was check in in a 5 star hotel. The room was clean and quite big another great surprise. The bed was very comfortable.
the location is great, after crossing the (main road) you walk down to the paseo marítimo and can either walk into Marbella or Puerto Banus. I don’t know if bikes are available to rent at the hotel. Very clean well equipped rooms a lovely restaurant, excellent breakfast and a wonderful, helpful staff.
The staff was extremely friendly and so helpful. They all knew our names when we first walked in and helped us to make reservations at one of the best restaurants we’ve had in Spain. Could not have asked for a more friendly and competent staff and the rooms themselves were gorgeous.
This hotel is right in the heart of Marbella, in Old Town. Everything is walking distance and the surroundings are so picturesque! The room itself was very nice and clean, the bathroom was very spacious too. Staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Lovely boutique hotel and very well placed in the Old town of Marbella
Short walk to beach with beach towels provided
Good breakfast options with nice sitting area in the adjacent square to enjoy it at leisure.
Very good restaurants close by for evening dining
Everything was good with this stay. Since it is right in the city centre, you can't park in front of the hotel but found a free spot 300m/1000 ft away (seems quite good for Spain). Receptionist was very helpful, guided me to the best restaurants etc.
The hotel was incredible. Wished it was on the beach as the beach was a 15 minute walk. The facility and staff were great. The food at breakfast was great. The room was excellent and large for three people.
The hotel was clean. The staff is super friendly. There is enough space to park a car.
It is close to the beach and not so far from the center.
Location is unusual for Spain, has a Scandinavian vibe.
small and intimate v central to beach and old town Marbella. Jose who owns the hotel v friendly and always v helpful. We like also that it is quiet and mainly couples no hen or stag parties !
