Hotel is on the good location, really close to city centre, it is very good for short stay. Double room was clean and nice. Kitchen is small but you will find there everything what you need. Toilet and bathroom clean and in the apartment is always smelling nice. Good place for couple and for people who are traveling for short time
The only disadvantage is that nobody cleaned the room ( we have stayed there for 5 days) and even changed a towels. But in total good place to short stay
+ location (10 minutes walk to the most known places, restaurants and supermarcts on the same street) + two bathrooms + not very noisy + easy check-out + microwave, fridge, cups etc or everyone + enough space in the room + clean
- the place to collect keys far away from the final destination
The location is quite nice, next to the attractions in walking distance
The collect key policy is sooo annoyed, wasting time and energy and far away from where to sleep
quite neighborhood good sleeping time
on the website the images were not the same as the one we got, but maybe cuz was related to a different loation, but I dealt with casa de nova and we got different place
Clean Not very far from center Kitchen with microvawe and refrigirator
Bed was broken - without one leg! Breakfast is not included, even if it said here it is just kitchen in hotel. Kitchen has no sink, only 4 literes of water for ten people. No hot water. kitchen is in the hall, so it is noisy in all room, when someone is cooking. All rooms are around one hall, so it is also noisy when someone comes out and comes in.
I was promised a double room and that's why I did payment but was offered a different room in a different location to the address mentioned. The room was box room and had to pay the same price. The owner got away with sorry. I would say its cheating travelers after waiting for 3-4 hours.
1. I came after the office hours and was charged by about 15 % (!) extra just for taking keys myself from a safe, i.g., sort of double-bottom low-cost, 2. No air-conditioning, at a rather modest external temperature (approx. 25 C) it was really hot inside to sleep, 3. Of two toilets one didn't function at all, the only shower was in an awful state as well. Literally, you get to run for paper and wait for water to drain and wash baisin then. 4. The breakfast means a couple of cupcakes which, I believe, passes from one guest to another, 5. In the sunday evening electricity broke and stayed so until next morning - a wide-screen smartphone is mandatory!). It didn't spoil my impression of stay in Barcelona, but definitely was no pleasure at all...
Had wifi, breakfast (even though it wasn't specified on booking.com), good coffee, frigde, comfortable bed
We had a room with balcony at first floor and it was very noisy. If we slept with the window open, it was noisy, if we closed it, it was hot. A fan would have helped.
It was very funny to arrive in Barcelona at midnight, go for the keys and find them inside a box, together with a map and instructions to go searching the real location of the room (in a different address with a different hostel name in the front door), which finally was a bed em-bed-ded in a piece of house; a small house divided in 5 rooms plus 2 bathrooms and a place to have breakfast in the leftover space (IRONIC). The price to pay for this adventure, if you don't arrive at the time when the reception is open (till 19:00), is a bargain: 4,5€/person ;) Enjoy it!
- No control at all about who was living there. Nobody related to the hostel showed up during the whole weekend to check (we were not requested our ID cards by anybody). A couple of drugged guys seemed to live there permanently. They had a huge row shouting out and kicking the furniture during the second night, so we had to call police and eventually leave our rooms at 6:00 a.m., as they were not arrested. Extremely nice stay. - Small and uncomfortable. - The room was in a different address (with a different hostel name) from where we picked up the keys and we had to look for the new place. - We were extra-charged because we didn't arrive before 19:00.
value for money, used just for sleeping and taking a shower, plus a coffee in the morning on the terrace
have to pick up keys from another location, not too convenient
Staff and cleaning
The brekfast is poor.
The location was good only a short walk from the city centre once you find it!
After what felt like a wild goose chase backwards and forwards to buildings that were closed for holiday!! We eventually found what looked like a lovely apartment and it was..... Except the room we were given was nothing more then 4 walls with a bed in!! The fact that there was no window and the walls were grey, to me made me feel trapped and uncomfortable. Not a great base for a good nights sleep.
Location was quite central, easy to get to main points of interest. Clean.
WIFI didnt work for 2 days. Keys located in another office which was quite far from the hostel. Just one bathroom.
Rooms are so small, that in prison is better. Double room is 6m2, single room is 3m2, bathroom 1,2m2. Don''t take any luggage with you, else you should leave it outside. No window in room, no fresh air.You have to sleep with door open...better sleep in park.
Comfortable bed. With balcony and dining room. Breakfast was included and placed in your bedroom every day. Milk and orange juice provided. Fridge, plates and cups were free to use.
The address claimed was just the place you got the key. Still need 10 min walk to arrive at the hostel. No security and reception in your hostel but still has a staff to tidy up the things from time to time. No window in our room ( saw only a room has window, see if you are lucky). Okay that fan was provided or else will be hot and suffocated at night. Not too close to the metro station. Barcelona is big. So check the nearest metro station or you may have a 2.5 hour walk to search for the key location point like me!
Casa de Rosa doesn't pretend to be something it's not. We got it for dirt cheap but it really exceeded our expectations! I loved it. It was clean - the balcony was beautiful and we had a fan! We also got free breakfast - it wasn't the best breakfast on the world but it's the thought that counts. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Bit of a nightmare to find. Picking up keys from another location was very stressful!
the man in the office was very friendly and helpful.
the office, where you pick up your key, is a 10min walk away from the actual building where you stay. the room was tiny and had no natural light/no window. there was only one bathroom shared between all the rooms and was not the cleanest and had a tiny shower.
The location it's great since it' in the heart of Eixample area well communicated and surrounded by shops & restaurant. There is a shared fridge and microwave. There are plates, utensils, cups and glasses for guest to use plus instant coffee and milk. It has a shared eating area. There was a nice gentleman that came to replace a broken fan in my room, that's was only time I saw someone. Would only recommend to young travelers on a budget.
Somehow a hassle to have to pick up keys at a different location than where the actual B&B is, worst if you are carrying heavy luggage. The room I reserved was a double with balcony but I had no privacy since the terrace is of common use so I had to keep doors closed most of time and it became quite claustrophobic. The bed takes most of the space in the room. Its has no way to close blinds and curtains were see though. There is only one full bathroom for "all guests". The shower curtain barely holds by a cord attached to ceiling. The towels provided are very rough and small. There were also some boxes stocked in the hallways. Noticed dirty plates, cups and utensils that had been used by guests for a full day just sitting there and no one to pick up or maintain this area clean. Must say some guests are pigs as well. One certain day some guest left the bathroom flooded with water after showering. I noticed all other rooms are interior with no windows.
The hostel was near to the metro stations and not so far from the main places in Barcelona. The room was clean and nice.
I didn't understand why nobody didn't tell us that the hostel's office is in different building but the hostel is on another street. We were searching for the key maybe a hour and after that one more hour the another building. When we found the hostel were robbed.. It was horrible!
The room was very clean and tidy. We liked the kitchen and the balcony a lot. You need to walk 15-20 minutes to La Ramblas, which is center, but is not that far and also can enjoy the streets when you are walking. Finally breakfast was included to price, which was a good thing :)
For first 2 days we had some troubles with wifi however it was fixed as we wrote a letter explaining the problem to staff. Moreover, although our room is clean and tidy it was little dark.
The place was really clean and comfortable, very well located in the city, next to subway station, hospitals and touristic attractions.
In order to get our keys we had to go to the office which is not quite near the hostel.
Very very unclean! Sheets and bed were dirty, there was hair from previous guests on the bed! The bathroom is broken, moldy, very dirty. I took pictures to prove all this. There was no sign of any attempt to keep the place decent and on top of all it cost 35 euros a night to sleep in other people's dirt! Definitely do not recommend it. The keys had to be picked up from far away from a keysafe, there was no staff available.
+ Great location + Great WI-FI + Easy to follow instructions (map and step by step) to get the keys if you checkin late at night.
- Was not very clean. - Included breakfast was a bunch of crackers, some cereals (no milk). Cofee machine available but no coffee in the first days. - Someone (I hope the cleanup lady) went through all the rooms without prior notice and rearranged the rooms including personal stuff. Nothing went missing though.
check in location and room is not the same, no sign board to locate office, shower head damaged, room smelly and with no ventilation, hot water for shower cannot control,
