Rooms were small.
A little gem of a hotel. Tucked away, a beautifully restored fourteenth century house. Warm, cosy, fresh and spotlessly clean. Very surprised it's only 3 star. Would love to spend more time here.
Location was wonderful. The hotel is charming, in a historic building.
I was writing an assessment which I had to submit whilst on holiday. The staff bent over backwards to move furniture around so that I had an appropriate space. Very well mannered and helpful generally. There was a member of staff on the desk 24 hours a day.
Just a small point . We had smelly drains in our bedroom ( number 4).not many tea bags although we could request them and same with milk supply.
Upon our arrival , we loved everything about this hotel, the location is so peaceful yet excellent position in old town; all we could hear was bird song and a guitar playing softly somewhere. The whole building has such a calm and serene atmoshere, like non other really.Perfect for visitng Alhambra and the falmenco night at Jardine Zoraya. A most memorable visit. One of the only hotels in this area where you can park right outside in hotel designated spaces.
The only poss. thing is that there is nowhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine but many places a few steps away overlooking the river, so not really a problem.
location beautifully restored building parking
Stepping over the threshold to see the beautiful courtyard with fountain, be welcomed by the pleasant reception guy, and entering our traditional bedroom with the most polished tile floor I have ever seen.
Rowdy revellers outside at 4 in the morning
Rebuild with original features. Sphere full. Good breakfast with friendly staf. Near, but uphill climb, to the Alhambra.
Getting there through narrow streets designed for nothing bigger than a Smart.
The location and one of the receptionists was helpful.
Emails prior to arrival were either unanswered or answered with irrelevant information. Whereas one receptionist WAS helpful, another could not have cared less and was almost rude. Our room was noisy (right next to the entrance), smelly (eau de drain) and stuffy. The location is wonderful and the building full of character, but our experience here was poor and I cannot recommend this hotel.
Walls do not stop sounds, so it is almost impossible to sleep after 7 am.
The courtyard makes you feel like you just walked into a Moorish palace. One the most romantic places I have ever stayed at.
Location, view, atmosphere, parking. And staff.... Intimate and Spanish feel...just a short walk along the river to main square ,restaurants galore ....
Great location in Granada, right next to all important areas, nice walk up to the Alhambra and the rooms were so fresh and lovely. for such a category, this hotel is very good, and staff was very helpful and corteous.
location near Alhambra was excellent as well as to walk through old city
getting there with a rental car even with navigation was incredibly difficult. however, we were warned about driving in Granada, and everything they say is true--don't!
Very helpful staff. Great location. Clean and excellent stay. Delicious breakfast.
You get what you pay for and while this hotel was superior to others we booked, it provides every comfort. We had a room looking inwards which was quiet, and a well-appointed bathroom. It was clean and the receptionists were charming and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent too. We gave this hotel an A*
The room was quiet and comfortable, tea and coffee making facility in the room, linens were in good quality, nice courtyard and library-lounge on the ground floor.
although it's understandable for a renovated old building, our bathroom smelled badly sometimes.
A beautiful hotel with a central courtyard. Rooms clean and comfortable. The staff extremely helpful and polite. Perfect location for our trip to Granada.
well positioned and charming
very difficult to reach by car
Hotel is a sympathetically restored moriscan townhouse with courtyard - beautiful and and evocative but not twee. Perfect for those wanting to visit the Alhambra just opposite the hotel. Breakfast worth the supplementary payment. All staff very friendly and helpful. A really pleasant stay overall!
Wonderful to be close to the cafés with the beautiful view of Alhambra.
We had a motor cyclist offer to guide us there and then demand $20 Euros. It might have been better to park out of the pedestrian area or railroad in and take a taxi. Those streets were a maze.
It was a nice small hotel, lovely decorated and welcoming Staff was excellent; very friendly and helpful
I wanted a classic small hotel that carried the feel of our visit to the Alhambra. It was a perfect location in the Albaycin neighborhood. Gorgeous view from the street to the hill above with the Alhambra and lovely cafes there to sit and enjoy a drink. Staff was charming & helpful (Wilfred at the front desk was our favorite!). We had a late flight and they generously gave us a room in the afternoon after we checked out to be able to rest & freshen up. Delicious breakfast and quiet for sleep too!
Old hotels in the area, subject to an odor coming from the river. We just opened the window and in a few minutes it was unnoticeable.
We were so sad we could only stay here one night after we arrived. The hotel was beautiful, room was charming a little small for us Americans :) but totally fine! We had views of the Alhambra from our room. Hotel staff were excellent gave us a map and some advice of where to go. The hotel is a little ways from some of the main attractions but totally worth the charm you won't be disappointment. I would 100% stay here again.
Wifi was a little poor in our room but great in the lobby.
Charming hotel, friendly and helpful staff and excellent location.
