Very nice place, wonderful and quiet location. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful, the common area is very spacey and has everything you need for your stay. Excellent price/quality ration and even non-surfers (like us) are more than welcome ;-)

Lajares is a town between El Cottil and Corralejo. You go here for coffee and to the store. It is a city in which a lot of construction is going on and it is losing its charm because of this. Too many people!

Quiet relaxing place to recharge and use as a base for exploring the island. there are some authentic Spanish restaurant's and some great cafes. There isnt a night life kind of place but somewhere to enjoy your days and relax. You need a car here, its easy to get around and plenty of supermarkets. The beaches are unspoilt, no sunbeds but there are alot of nudists about. No shops near the beaches so take a picnic. Lajares itself doesn’t have a lot to offer.
Lajares itself doesn’t have a lot to offer. Need to use the car all the time. It is better to stay in El Cotillo. Unless you want to be close to the specific beaches. I would not recommend more than 2-3 days there. If in the area go to “Panaceta”, great bakery in Lajares.AlicjaPoland - 10Scored 10
The people here are very kind and welcoming.
The people here are very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you see lots of surfers. After a surfing trip, Lajares is the perfect location to get some really good food. Don't worry if you are not a surfer. You can run, hike and bike here, too. You can also take a hike and visit a nearby volcano. In total, this is the perfect spot if you want to visit Fuerteventura. You have lots of houses to choose from and Corralejo is only a 15min ride away. El Cotillo, a surfer's paradise, is also just 15min away.HaraldAustria - 10Scored 10

Beautiful town with some really good restaurants and coffee shops. La Boqueria was a particular favourite. Great tapas and Iberian pork. La Canela was nice for a drink, good music and gets busy when there's live music.

Because Lajares is not on the coast, it did not feel as “touristy” as the coastal villages and towns. However there are still plenty of places to eat (although you have to note the inevitable ‘one night a week closed’ for each restaurant and plan accordingly,) Good bakeries, a handy supermarket, everything within walking distance. Many lovely walks can be started from Lajares. La Bodega restaurant is a cut above the rest. If you did not have a car, bus service Correlejo to El Cotillo is very frequent. There is only one bicycle hire shop but sadly they do not have many bikes (that was our only disappointment)

Lajares center is 6 minutes away by car and the village is busy with joung people and nice places, best bread in la Panderia, best fresh homemade pasta take away by Maria and come together bei Amiga Mia. At Villa Calma we had everything for cooking, powder for dishwasher and washingmaschine and shampoo for shower and we loved also using the big, nice and clean swimmingpool only a few footsteps nearby.EvaItaly

Spacious, nice pool which is great for kids as heated. Lajares which is close by is a nice little village, we enjoyed eating out there. It is quiet and you are near both El Cotillo and Corralejo. It isn’t super close to the sea or beach but easily driveable and we already knew that. We had one very minor issue and it was looked at and sorted within hours, which was great service.
