The rooms were located in another village far away from the hotel (2 km). The ower did not give us any reason for this change and we had to walk by ourselves to the rooms. The beds were distributed chaotically along a flat. We strongly do not recommend this accomodation.

When we arraived the owner had over booked his hotel rooms so he sent us to a shared housed 1km away in a room with dirty sheets and no windows, it was horrible. The following days he gave us a room at the hotel, but it was dirty, the room had only 3walls and the fourth was made of plastic and you could see us from the outside while we were having a shower.

The hotel staff, except the boss, were friendly and very apologetic that we were treated badly.

We arrived with a booking for a first floor twin room and were shown instead to an extension of the restaurant, actually the veranda, where they had pinned brown sheets to the ceilings to make walls and put folding single beds. Here there were 3 'rooms', each of which you had to walk through (under the sheets) to reach the next. No windows and no door. It was appalling. No hot water and no working shower in the facilities we were shown to use. They were, in fact, for the cooking staff. We explored upstairs and found the rooms we were supposed to have, which staff were embarrassed to show us. We complained to the boss, who was dismissive and rude. We launched a complaint with the Menorca tourist board, but were obviously still obliged to pay the Booking.com price, which was taken off my card before we saw the room. And we had nowhere else to go. It ruined the end of our holiday.

If you accept this is a 'HOSTAL', that is a lovely old house (shabby chic?) in a tranquil setting with rural views. Good food and bar open all day. The porticoed terrace is a charming area to eat, served by helpful 'staff '.

Shared bathroom. Maybe install seperate toilet?
