The staff were very helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to help us with any enquiry. The meals were good and the local people were also very friendly. Only a short drive to many different tourist areas or many walking trails at your door. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Had to reset the wifi each morning.

Great personnel - extremely friendly, ready to help. When we arrived it was relatively late - I think 10:30 PM and the restaurant was almost closing, but we were told that they will serve us, which they did. Later the other guests appeared and it was really late already, but they were served as well. Price in the restaurant is very reasonable and the food is good, though do not expect the wide selection of dishes. The room had enough space for two of us.

It is not exactly the best location if you choose it as a stop on the way. It is located in the mountains and the road there is quite curvy so you can lose quite a bit of time. Mind the step when you are coming - the rooms are on the upper floors and there is no elevator, which is ok for us, but might be more difficult for some other travellers. The city is small, but the hotel is not too easy to find as for example our navigation system does't have the numbers for that particular street. So we used Google maps to find the place. Also be aware that the breakfast is very basic though it is very cheap. So value for money is great, but do not rely on the variety of options.

The owners, who are chef and assistant chef, were both excellent cooks. They and their staff were delightful and warm people. They made us feel extremely welcome and were very accommodating of our needs. We stayed and dined here two nights and wished we could have stayed for more. We highly recommend Casa Rural Maialde for both excellence and value for money.

The pillows could have been thicker.

Great value for the money. Nice clean rooms. Great dinner and breakfast at a budget price. The Cod was exceptional and the house wine was a winner. The staff headed by Jesus was friendly, competent, and helpful.

We arrived at siesta hours. The hotel was seemingly closed for the duration of siesta. If we hadn't had had a cell phone with service in Spain we would have been in a bad way for several hours.

Lovely little guesthouse with beautiful views and people were lovely. The closest place with some life is Eibar if you are looking for restaurants or shops. This is ideal if you want quiet. GPS takes you to the back entrance (there is a green awning).

Just a little too deserted for us. Not that easy to find and no-one to ask as there were no people around. Where do they go?

Nice rooms, very friendly hosts. The food is good at a reasonable price

Difficult conversation if you don't speak Spanish (although they do their very best to help you!)
