Very cosy. Felt like at home rather than a holiday apt. Excellent wi-fi. Within Walking distance to town. Nice pool area. Helpful staff. Printed my boarding passes.
Just a few small issues. BBQ very rusty no way would I cook on it. Sliding door into apt difficult to open. Some rust around fridge. Also some rust in kettle. Water to washing machine was off but staff eventually got it working.
Everything was in good condition and working
No dustpan & brush to clean up. The company came in twice during week
16a excellent. This apartment had everything that we expected.
Transferred to 9b only one bathroom. not two that we paid for. Then transferred to 3b, yet again only one bathroom, not the two we paid for. Woody, in reception was VERY helpful, and done everything he could for us. No mention of a refund for losing a bathroom for a week. We have stayed at Casa Del Sol on many occasions and had no trouble before. Stay here again ?????
Location is good - site is peaceful
Villa 3b was tired and needs a bit of up dating. We were told we had booked 28e which was a bigger villa and were given 3b smaller but no refund The communal pool was very cold!
Great location and close to restaurants and beach. Helpful and friendly staff. Well equiped kitchen with comfortable sitting area inside and outside. And having a decent tv with satelite channels was especially nice for a change because the weather was not great when we were there. Also apreciated the free wifi.
Really cannot find anything to complain about. Sorry...
The greenery, the views, the peace and quiet and the privacy were great, as was the outside patio. Our bungalow was 9B, which is tucked away in a quiet corner of the development. The location was superb - you could eat or sunbathe outside in complete privacy. It was quiet and peaceful, great if you're stressed-out city dwellers like us. Yet only five minutes' walk away were the harbour and the promenade. Stunning views, fantastic restaurants, you could never tire of them. The beaches are wonderful. I had never been to Lanzarote before and was a little worried it might be a bit boring, but there was loads to do. We took an excursion to the volcanic national park, which was breathtaking, and a boat trip to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, which is stunningly beautiful. We could happily have spent several days just chilling in the patio of the bungalow or by the pool if we'd had more time. A week just wasn't long enough. I can honestly say it was the most relaxing, enjoyable, away-from-it-all holiday I've ever had. Lanzarote beats the Greek islands hands-down, in my opinion. Playa Blanca is without doubt the best resort on the island. It is magical.
I've stayed in some pretty shoddy accommodation on holiday in some places (ant and cockroach infestation, rainwater coming through ceilings, electric lamps catching fire, unbearable noise nuisance, postage-stamp sized bathrooms .....etc., etc) so it feels a bit ultra-picky to even mention the minor faults in the bungalow. Overall, it was really comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Not massive deals, but it was advertised as having English TV. Not that you go on holiday to watch telly, but it would have been nice to watch an hour or so before bed. There was Sky but only the most basic package - Sky News and kids' channels. There was a DVD player, and if we'd known we'd have taken some DVDs. We will if we go back there, which we hope to. There was no heating. We went in early January and it became a little chilly in the evenings - not massively so, and certainly not as cold or uncomfortable as it would be without heating in the UK at that time of year. But some kind of heating would have made it more comfortable, and we'd happily have paid a bit more to have it, maybe on a meter. But, as I said previously, this is all ultra-picky and they were only minor issues. We would definitely go back to Playa Blanca and to this particular bungalow.
Good location Good facilities - a real home from home Kettle and toaster provided Wi fi access
Mosquitos - fine once we'd bought state of the art ant-mosquito device
The complex is in an excellent position in the resort. High quality of fixtures & fittings and well-equipped bungalow (31B). Beautiful sunny and private little front garden. On-site reception and little shop very useful. Pool area lovely.
There was always a degree of background noise from both the road and the generators of the ferries when idling in the port, especially at night when the boat was there for several hours.
2 bed villa is good for 4 adults. 5 minute walk to shops, promenade, and many many restaurants. Car and bike hire nearby. All villa patios face south, so in sun all day, and out of the breeze. Good swimming pool, suitable for adults and (non-swimming) children, with life guard.
Our villa was advertised as having Sky TV, but only a few news channels available. The wi-fi is centered on the reception area, so not guaranteed in the villa.
This was our sixth time in Playa Blanca, and the fourth time traveling with children. We've stayed in four different hotels before, three out of five times we've choosen all inclusive. This time however, we decided to try Casas del Sol, and we did not regret a second. We had a flat with two bedrooms and sea view (14F). It was well fitted with everything we needed for a week in the sun.. We've found our place in Playa Blanca and will return next year.
lovely gardens.very quiet.homley touch
colour of bed linen would be better white
Bed wonderful. Very quiet . Staff excellent friendly and helpful.
Shower too small and no rack for toiletries. Shower head very high and hard to move.
Site is excellent. Clean, well laid out and convenient. Local staff were extremely helpful.
The actual bungalow was lacking in some elements. Kitchen area as very small, not a lot of room for the equipment provided. Fridge was wroking, but looking a littel unclean (it was clean) and rusty. Some equipment was a bit past its best. Furniture and beds were very good. Outside furniture good. Patio good.
As all apartments/villas are owned by different people the standards must vary. Ours, 9B, was fine but a little dated,
Three days to get a third set of towels too long. Pool closed for cleaning whilst we where there, should have been told before.
We enjoyed our stay at Casas del Sol. Good location and accommodation. Excellent staff.
Location was great for exploring the resort, also very close to restaurants, etc, unlike some hotels we saw on the outskirts. Our larger property had a large terrace with sun all day and was skipping distance to the quiet pool area. The staff were fantastically patient and polite with my attempts to speak Spanish. Complex was very clean and tranquil and some basic provisions in the fridge on arrival was a great touch after a late arrival.
Tennis racquets were poor quality! Twin bed instead of advertised double in one room. Very minor gripes.
The kitchen equipment was better than we expected. Bungalow had good location - near to reception, pool and entrance to site. Water always hot. Site well located near the sea front, shops and restaurants Site clean and well maintained gardens.
Bedroom became very hot. No a.c. in the bungalow. Furnishings very tired and in need of a refurbishment. Pool temperature was rather cold with salt water (but bearable and refreshing).
We were first allocated bungalow 30c but we asked to be moved after a couple of days to a more modern accomodation and we went to 22b which was great! the location of casas del sol is perfect for playa flamingo or for playa dorada and shops (spar and local supermarkets) are all in walking distance. reception is open 8 till 9pm and staff are very helpful. i would defenitely book there again but would ask for a modern bungalow!
Stayed with my mother and sister. Pretty terrace to have breskfast. Really comfortable stay, staff were really friendly and helpful! On the last day they allowed us to check out late as our flight was in the evening.
-perfect location -swimming pool -nice private family holiday
-fan in the one of the room was loud, could do with air conditioning
almost everything, the apartment was spacious and very comfortable, nice patio with big grill, kitchen had all you need including several different glasses, common area clean and well mantained, beautiful flowers and plants, staff nice and friendly, excellent wifi connection
only few things, most annoying were mosquitoes at night...and the residence is not directly on the ocean, so no ocean-view...but I really have to think hard to find something bad...
We have stayed many times at CDS. The location is great, staff always very friendly & helpful. Plus side for this villa is the air con
This particular villa didn't have much in the way of cooking facilities (2 electric rings & a combi microwave). Not a big problem for us as we eat out. Other villas have better ovens/jobs
Accommodation is privately owned which means the pots and pans etc are better than from a company owned property. Just like staying in your own holiday home. Great selection of books to borrow. Wi-Fi available... a must these days.
Location, setting, bungalow lay-out
Ideally more frequent cleaner and updated decor
Good location in Playa Blanca
The apartment was a bit dated, for example the window latches and locks did not inspire confidence from a security point of view. The kitchenette was very small and the fridge was quite loud at night. The second bedroom was also very small and was not very comfortable for the children
