All sorts of things happen during the night: - rooms are poorly insulated - sirens moaning all the time - trucks from nearby traffic - garbage collection (?) in the middle of the night goes on for 1 hour and is very noisy (even from 3rd floor) - guests noisy above average
Excelente and central position. Small boutique hotel with great facilities.
difficulty to park the car.
Staff politeness, clenliness
The size of bed: 1.80 m is too short for a tall person.
Excellent staff and quiet location within easy walking distance to all major attractions
Brilliant staff, very helpful. Comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Lovely lounge area and reasonable bar prices. Location!
Excellent location (close to metro station, city center, restaurants & shops), clean & ellegant, v friendly staff, v good value for money
Location is just perfect, Plaza d'Espana and Gran Via is close to the hotel. The staff was very nice and helped us a lot, and they all speak English.
Breakfast is good but not with a great variety. We missed vegetables a lot!
Great location! Nice hotel and great staff (both for buissnes and family stay). My choice when next time in Madrid.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was great.
Great location. Very quiet and comfortable.
Great location. Clean and comfortable. Incredibly quiet. Very efficiently run
When compared to local prices for coffee and snacks etc., the price for breakfast in the hotel - 9.50€ represented very good value. Would recommend the DiBocca restaurant Grand Via 59 a stones throw from the hotel for a quality meal at a good price. We found Madrid to be a beautiful city. Location of the hotel is excellent for touring the city either walking or by Metro. Staff and the people of Madrid were very friendly and helpful especially when one was looking for directions. Many tourist attractions e.g. Prado and Queen Sofia Galleries offer free entry or substantial discounts to over 65s make sure to bring photo identity and to ask for the reduced rate.
We saw a lot of Graffiti. Compared to prices on the Costa del Sol prices for snacks and tapas e.g. simple cup of coffee are very expensive. Some cafes do no include the IVA in the list price for food on the menu or state that there is an additional charge for eating at a table outside the establishment. These charges are, however, included as additions on the bill and to my mind represent hidden charges.
Close to tourist bus stop, had stores and restaurants nearby. Price appears to be pretty good for downtown Madrid.
Noisy location due to nearby traffic and police station. First impression of neighborhood is negative due to some construction and isolation of hotel on a side road next to Senate building. Looked better and safer once we got to know it. Small room as expected.
This modest hotel will appear dated to some but is a pleasure to those who recognize the signs of a well maintained and run facility. The included breakfast was very good. The rooms and baths were well maintained, quiet and clean. The WiFi worked without problem. The staff were uniformly helpful and courteous. The location is a short walk to many excellent sights and the Plaza de Espana metro.
Customer service was very good, everyone is eager to make your stay a pleasurable one. Breakfast is very good & abundant
Room needs improvement!
Perfect location, good breakfast.
The check in time is 1pm. We arrived at 3pm and the room wasn´t ready. We had to wait for more 30 minutes! It is a bit noisy, we could hear all the guests in our floor walking and talking through the hall.
Location: close to Plaza España and Palacio Real. Staff: friendly and helpfull Breakfast: sufficient choice Wifi: good in lobby, could be better in rooms
Beds are very hard Bread is not fresh Poor wifi in rooms
Very nice location, very nice staff, no problem for me to stay and read in the lobby after checking out. Felt safe.
Street outside was a bit noisy, (though pretty good for central Madrid). Breakfast was plentiful but quite ordinary (tinned fruit, thinnish fruit drink rather than juice).
Good quality of price/quality rate, but need some refurbish. Also cleanliness might be better. Good position and quiet. Breakfast OK.
Bad coffee, usually hotel coffee not so good, but this was tasting pretty bad.
Excellent Staff - very courteous and helpful. Very near Gran Via and Palace. Good for both business and tourist stay purpose. Happy with the choice i made
Did not have tea/coffee facility in room - it does not cost much!! Nothing more to complain
tea /coffee maker in room would have been nice
Excellent location, near Gran Via as well as Plaza de Espana, the staff were amongst the most helpful I have come across while traveling, the wifi never gave us problems and they even had two desktops for guest use!
Lighting in the room could have been better!
Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and went out of their way to make our short stay (3 nights) very comfortable. Location is excellent with good access to buses, metro etc. and within walking distance to some of the sights. All in all a we were very happy with this hotel and would recommend it to our friends.
The only negative is that if you are a light sleeper the sirens on Gran Via throughout the night might be a bit disturbing. However, this in no way detracted from the hotel itself.
