This converted 18th-century farmhouse is surrounded by the vineyards of Catalonia’s Penedès region. It offers an attractive conservatory, a garden with a small outdoor pool and rooms with fantastic views. The rooms at the Hotel Castell de Gimenelles are equipped with heating. They feature smart décor and a private bathroom. The Castell de Gimenelles’ restaurant serves traditional Catalan food, using fresh seasonal ingredients from its own organic garden. There is also a bar serving drinks and snacks throughout the day. The Castell is easily accessible from the AP7 Motorway. My boyfriend and I just spent 3 wonderful days (2 nights) at this place. Where to start? the house and the surrounding lands are beautiful and peaceful. Maite and her partner are warm, respectful, always ready to help, and go out of the way to make sure you feel welcome and pampered. One of my favorite things were the dinners in their small restaurant ... so good! much more relaxing and romantic that going out, and very good price/quality ratio. I highly recommend the food here. You can also take nice strolls/hikes from the house and see the mountains, vineyards, shepherds + sheep. p.s. Villafranca del Penedes is not worth visiting except for some of the museums. Go instead to the small villages or venture to Alt Camp and visit Santes Creus + Vila.rodona Some of the furnishings (partic. lamps and some side tables) are starting to look very worn out. Not a big deal though

Calm, quiet, warm (fireplace), welcoming.......very friendly couple (Maite and Jordi) runs the place. Perfect break from the city. Best meal ever.....ever. Too bad I didn't have my wife with me. Extremely romantic vineyard setting

Felt as if we were visiting good friends............. Food offered excellent variety for a small hotel. The owners go out of their way to ensure a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the local cuisine (we ate breakfast and dinner for the 2days we were here) as well as the charming surroundings. Matress needs upgraded.

Our stay was incredible right from the moment we pulled up to this tucked away house in the countryside. Our room was impeccable with our own private terrace. We decided to stay for dinner, which turned out to be the best decision we ever made. We were served an excellent three course meal with different wines to taste in the cozy dining room. After a restful night's sleep, the owners provided us with a map of the local wineries and were extremely helpful with recommendations and making reservations to visit them. I can't wait to go back!

This is a charming B&B. The courtyard dinner area is gorgeous, and the meal was absolutely delicious. It is definitely worth eating there rather than going out. The hospitality was outstanding and the building itself has a nice mix of luxury and old world feel. I couldn't recommend it more highly. No complaints. The pool area could be nicer, but they don't advertise it as being glamorous -- just a place to cool off.

This place is in a peaceful setting in the Penedes wine country. The rooms are very comfortable with fine linens on the beds. Furniture collection is eclectic, and bear in mind that this is, though thoroughly rehabbed, an old building, which is of course, part of the charm. The hosts are wonderful, and the meals they serve are fabulous. One thing to note though, is that they don't have a sign on the little road leading past the place. We had to double back before thinking, "oh, maybe that's the place" and turning into their long driveway.

Un lugar tranquilo y relajado rodeado de viñas. El trato de Jordi y Maite es excelente al igual que los desayunos y cenas que ofrecen. Ganas de repetir. Muy recomendable.

El trato familiar y amable del personal del hotel. Los desayunos y cenas están muy bien. Todo esta bien, quizás el precio por noche es algo elevado dada la categoria del hostal.

Allt! En upplevelse bara att gå runt i det gamla huset. Värdparet var väldigt trevliga med stor kunskap om trakten och berättade gärna, på engelska. Vi åt menyn de erbjöd, gjord av lokala råvaror och vin från trakten, fantastiskt gott! Det här är inget håll-i-gång-ställe utan ren avkoppling. Poolen och trädgården är inte så stor som bilderna visar.

El entorno, la casa, la decoraciòn impecables. La cena fue cara pero excelente, asì como el vino tinto del Penedès...exquisito!! No hay TV ni en hall ni en habitaciones. Llegar es difìcil aùn con GPS, ya que no hay ni un cartel. El check out se hace lento ya que hay una sola persona sirviendo el desayuno y cerrando el escritorio.

la qualité de l'hôtel et son isolement très calme au milieu des vignes. le propriétaire parle un français excellent. les repas peuvent être pris à l'ombre des arbres dans la cour intérieure et sont d'une très grande qualité. le petit déjeuner inclus est très copieux.

Es un sitio especial, en una ubicación privilegiada y con un trato muy amable por parte de Jordi y Mayte. Os aconsejo quedados a cenar, si hace bueno y podéis cenar en el exterior os encantará.

Trois jours intemporels dans cette belle demeure de charme restaurée avec infiniment de goût! Les propriétaires ont toutes les qualités pour rendre les lieux paradisiaques : très grande gentillesse, attentionnés, disponibles, chaleureux et toujours prêts à rendre service (il en est de même d'ailleurs pour toute l'équipe). De plus, nous avons goûté tous les soirs à la délicieuse cuisine parfumée d'épices de Monsieur, aux vins de la région, présentés par Madame, le tout proposé à un prix plus que raisonnable. Nous avons juste eu quelques difficultés pour trouver l'endroit car il n'y a aucune indication quelque soit l'endroit dont on vient, le panneau à l'entrée de la propriété ayant été en plus arraché quelques semaines auparavant. Sur les 2 chambres que nous avions réservées, une n'était pas équipée de climatisation, ce qui était un peu difficile car il faisait particulièrement chaud.

Del hotel nos gustó todo. Si tenemos que elegir nos quedamos con la amabilísima atención de Maite y, como no, con la cocina de Jordi. ¡Qué bien cenamos! No poder estar más tiempo...

Een fantastische ervaring. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam bij het maken van dagtrips. Het 3 gangen diner in het hotel a eur 25 pp indl. wijn is echt een aanrader. Ongelofelijk lekker gegeten van de lokale producten. Vraag naar de gevulde cannelloni met wilde paddestoelen en naar de spare ribs - zeer eenvoudig maar o zo lekker. de heerlijke olijfolie wordt ook verkocht aan een schappelijke prijs. Alles was top!

Schönes altes Gehöfe auf einem Hügel gelegen. Wunderbare Sicht auf Reben und Berge. Zuvorkommender Chef, der auch das Abendessen kocht. (Diesmal nur für uns) Verschieden Plätze drinnen und draussen zum Verweilen und sich bei einem Glas Wein zu erholen. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Lloc amb un encant especial, envoltat de vinyes, gats i tranquil·litat. El tracte perfecte. Esperava un esmorzar bufet, però ells ja et serveixen el que tenen preparat. No obstant, tot és molt bo i tens opció de repetir, cosa que no cal perquè hi ha menjar suficient.

La tranquilidad del campo cerca de núcleos úrbanos, rutas culturales, bodegas, montañas. Los propietarios han preparado un espacio donde puedan trabajar a gusto, haciendo la estancia de los huéspedes muy agradable. Un hotel para volver.
