Great view over Malaga, you can also have a lovely dinner with that amazing view. Good locations for an event.

The walls are very thin, so you get woken up by your other guest. No curtains in badroom. The elevator doesn't go all the way up with your luggage. Airco is very loud.

What an amazing place to stay, we had the room on the top floor with a private terrace overlooking the sea. With only 8 rooms in the hotel we were afforded absolute privacy. Only a short drive to Malaga city and 400m walk to the beach

Loved the location, space and style of the hotel. Beautiful candlelit meals in the scenic gardens. Relaxed atmosphere and views to die for from room #5 :-)

This hotel is unique in style and certainly has the wow factor. The rooms (only 8 in total) are large and comfortable with excellent bathrooms. The staff were excellent, always willing to please. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Priceless location. The rooms are on the upper terrace floor and the views are astounding. This is a very special boutique hotel, with very few rooms, so don't expect the facilities of more modern hotels with several hundred rooms. We stayed one night on a very long journey, and felt we hadn't done our stay justice. We landed with a dozen suitcases and bags, and the poor front of house manager sweated to help us with a smile! Travel light, and stay a minimum of two nights, preferably more. Don't pack your itenary, spend some time on the terrace outside your room with a bottle of wine and enjoy the view!

    Absolutely nothing.

    view, rooms, terrace, atmosphere

the optional dinner was not what we expected - lacked taste and quality, breakfast buffet is also not on the standard of a 4 star hotel, there's no swimming pool

The Castillo is both a picturesque historic ruin and a comfortable stylish mansion. The highlight was dinner in the gardens, the views from the terrace, and the private balconies.

Bed was amazing, as are the views and the beautiful patio & gardens.

Dinner reservations are only accepted until 6pm and since we arrived at 7, we couldn't have dinner at the hotel. We would have loved to try it as the location is amazing. More restaurants are just a short stroll away though, on the beach.

The décor and period features in this hotel are stunning. When you enter you are hit with the wow factor of the building. We stayed in a junior suite which was stunning and very very comfortable. The views are amazing and the courtyard, fountain and surroundings create a fantastic ambience. It is rather like staying in a stately home with rooms rather than a modern day hotel but the staff are very helpful and polite. We loved it.

The breakfast is rather limited and on our second day we rose a bit earlier (still within the hours of service) to find no one in attendance and some items lacking. We had dinner on the terrace which is offered to you as a 3 course meal with drinks included for 18 euros. This is amazing value, but although some elements were very good, it was often almost cold and I would rather pay more for a properly heated meal. However, again the atmosphere and the view which eating was wonderful and the service was very attentive.

The hotel is located on the mountain with many gardens. A lot of flowers and trees

It's not suitable for solo traveller or travellers without a car. The location is very far away from centre. Very slow and late food supply. Room is too large.

Lovely people, amazing place, very well located. I asked for their help to organise a romantic night for my husband's birthday; they did everything I asked and more!... Including cava as a gift! We will go back!

A beautiful castillo, with a lot of charm and only 8 rooms. They tried to preserve the original style, which gives it a very unique feel and what one might also call "shabby chic". Everything is very clean, the beds are very comfortable. The garden is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very helpful and kind. I stayed one day longer than planned and will definitely come back!

Perhaps the location, as it is 3 km away from the city centre and main attractions. However, this also means that it is quiet comparing to the centre and you also get an amazing view.

The hotel is situated in a nice zone where you have a very nice view of malaga. Romms are big and if you want have a good quality for your sleep this is the right place.

The hotel is little bit far from the centre of malaga so you need a taxi or a car in order to move.

    Amazing view.

Far from city centre, you have to take a taxi. Noisy Rooms, because kitchen is near and they have parties and events frequently. Don't recommend as a hotel to rest and enjoy and is too far from 4 stars. Wifi has to be reconected all the time.

rooms were spacious, food was good, proportions correct, gardens spectacular, nice breeze as it sits high up.

perhaps a bit removed but that is what also gives it its charm, no food at night and if you don't have a car you will have to call a taxi…but all very doable.
