Nos ha gustado todo. Es maravilloso y el trato humano del Senor Javier y sus empleados es excepcional !!!!!! Estar en ese castillo es vivir en una nuve maravillosa. Para nosotros es la tercera vez que vamos y que Dios nos de salud para volver muy rapido.

Es un hotel precioso con unas magnificas habitaciones y vistas inmejorables. El trato de todo el personal incluido Don Javier el propietario ha sido exquisito. Recomiendo cenar en el mismo hotel.

La ubicación es perfecta, pero, el precio es elevado, el contenido de las habitaciones deja mucho que desear; la cama hace mucho ruido, la bañera agrietada, la tapa del servicio rota y no cambian las toallas. Por ese precio estas cosas no se pueden permitir. Hay alojamientos en Laguardia más baratos y mejores.

The welcome, impeccable staff and position - amazing views from the room at the top yet in the city walls.

We expected a 'gourmet' dinnerl and unfortunately it was not, but at a surprisingly high price. Beautiful place to stay with owner and staff very attentive, but just eat out!

I loved the TLC I received during my stay. I was a solo female traveler, and Javier and Rafael, the hotel staff and manager, were very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family, and I hope to return again in the future!

Javier was very friendly and helpful as we're his staff. Lovely room with wonderful views, good comfortable large bed. Great bathroom. Lots of space. Very conveniently situated for the pretty town of laguardia. Just a short stroll away.

This is an excellent hotel in a stunning position in Rioja. Our room was most comfortable and well appointed, and with a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside - we could have stayed in the bathroom for weeks alone! Our breakfast was marvellous, and if we have any disappointment it is that we were too tired upon arrival to book dinner in the hotel - but did partake of a simple supper in the old town (again worth a visit in itself). We shall be back as soon as we can make it, and have already recommended it to friends.

The ambience, the appointment of the room and facilities, the postion and the views, and the breakfast! Equally the attention from the management.

A unique place to stay in a breathtaking position. The hotel is nestled in the walls of an old town which is traffic free - bliss for us with 2 dogs in tow - but it does mean that you have to park away from the hotel and walk up quite a few steps to get to it. You can, however, park up just outside to drop off your luggage. The hotel itself is quirky with lots of corridors and nooks and crannies, most notably the "Torre" which you can climb to take a look at the spectacular views all round. The beautiful medieval town of LaGuardia where the hotel is situated is very much part of the Rioja Wine Route so be prepared for an amazing wine choice which Javier, the owner, will be only too happy to help with. The menu is good too with plenty of choice and well cooked food beautifully presented. The rooms are all individual and we ended up with the suite on the top floor which was large and comfortable with fantastic views and very good facilities. The shower has its own instruction manual - bells and whistles aplenty - and there is a huge bath to wallow in if you feel so inclined. But the best thing about this place is the owner who is delightful - so proud of the home which has been in his family for years and keen to share his birthright with his guests. He is a hotelier in the old tradition - always discreet but always ready to provide whatever is needed. Understated and charming for that. We will definitely go back.

The fact that we could only stay for one night as we were en route to the ferry in Santander. Next time, we will allow for a longer stay to do proper justice to the area and to have a chance to explore the bodegas. Javier will organise this - all you have to do is email him.

The hotel and room had wonderful, old-world charm with all the amenities . The location in Laguardia was perfect for seeing the city and for viewing the vineyards and bodegas of Rioja. The proprieter and his staff went well out of their way to make my wife and me feel welcome and valued. I visited Laguardia 40 years ago for a day trip, and we will definitely go back again to Castillo... possibly retire there.

It is a very special place to go. A place with luxury in the design and a feel of bed and breakfast. The town of Laguardia is very special, it reminded me of a tuscan hilltop village.

The staff was very friendly and accommadating. Javier was always willing to help and service was outstanding. The food at the restaraunt was very good.

Very good welcoming by the owner himself, who takes care a lot of his guests. The hotel is small, cosy, and well located in Laguardia city. A little bit expensive....

Nice vintage furniture. Excellent service. Welcome glass of wine. Tasty food. Nice tower to look for neighboring bodegas. Very good choice if you have a time to rest in La Rioja.

De service was uistekend. Voorkomende bediening. Prima restaurant en een mooi terras met uitzicht op de rioja vallei. Goede wijnkelder en in de omgeving een uitstekende golfbaan

Geweldig kleinschalig hotel (15 kamers?). De gastheer was echt de zeer gastvrije kasteelheer zelf. Het hotel, de kamer en de badkamer meer dan bijzonder, heel fraaie en romantische detaillering. Laguardia is een prachtig, qua sfeer middeleeuws, stadje. Alles, locatie, gebouw en personeel ademen de sfeer van een gastvrij 19e eeuws kasteelhotel ! OK, er was geen kapper, zwembad etc. in het hotel, maar anders een 4 of 5 sterren kwalificatie!

Het restaurant wordt geroemd, maar is wel erg traditioneel Spaans (en daarmee toch wat simpel). Wel goed verzorgd en goede ingrediënten.

'n Onvergetelijke en romantische ervaring in 'n heus kasteel in een van de mooiste dorpjes van Spanje. Javier, als 'n waar kasteelheer, ontvangt en verzorgt zijn gasten op ongeevenaarde manier. De kamers zijn prachtig en de suite adembenemend. Ontbijt, de tapas en het dinner zijn op top niveau als bij de beste Michelin restaurants, met mooie wijnen uit Javier's eigen bodega. Alles wordt gedaan om het de gasten helemaal naar de zin te maken. Hotel is niet goedkoop, maar 'n overnachting in dit prachtige kasteel is wel absoluut "value for money". Wij gaan zeker terug.

Sa situation dans le village de Laguardia. Très bon restaurant.

C'etait la fête, il y avait un groupe au restaurant très bruyant et tard dans la nuit, au dessous de notre chambre. Sommeil difficile!
