The location was perfect! The apart itself was really nice and clean. Children loved it.
The self checking machine does not work. We arrived at the hotel quite late and the keys werent working although we requested to have them ready with the can driver. It took a few phone calls to resolve the taxi driver was very helpful and stayed with us until we got into our apart.
The apartment we ended up in was lovely....a studio apartment which our children loved. Despite the stressful experience of trying to get inside and park and be reassigned an apartment, the woman we spoke to was delightful.
When we finally got inside (a long and rather unsatisfactory process, although the woman who helped us at the other end of the 'phone was helpful, patient and very pleasant), the 3 bed luxury apartment looked as though the previous occupants had just stepped outside....the beds had been slept in, used towels and blankets all over the floor, there was food and drink left out, all the lights were left on along with the TV. Our children were totally freaked out by this and it took a further hour for us to be offered a studio apartment which was nice but too small for a family of 5 and we had to make a bed up on the floor for one of us. Fortunately, we had food with us which we prepared, although the kitchen equipment was rather limited. We struggled to get into the car park and had to be directed to the safe in order to obtain a key in order to park our car. It took almost 2 hours in total to eventually get inside and we were so relieved I think we would have taken anywhere! Thank goodness we ended up with somewhere to sleep, although our amazing visit to the wonderful city of Barcelona was almost ruined. We would consider using Castro Exclusive Residences again but only if we receive a refund for the awful stress and inconvenience, and, ultimately having to stay in accommodation which was about one quarter of the size we paid for. We will be requesting a refund in the next few days.
The furnitures and comfortability
We could not check in with their computer system and 24hrs number was not picked! We came around 10pm. We had to look for another hotel which they refunded the 190Euros paid! We were gíving free upgrade to 3 bedroom apartment! We also got half price on parking of the car and got a gift basket! Aturo was very excellent staff!
They have to change theircheck in system and give a proper instruction on how to use the card to open the doors because many people had problem of opening the doors!
A staff member who was on holiday happened to arrive and saved me from spending the night in the corridor. She + the young ladies working at the other Castro location (Sagrada Familia) were just lovely and deserve 10+ points for all their help and assistance during my long stay in Barcelona.
The check-in technology failed completely, and although I tried calling the different assistance mobile numbers, I only got the answering machines in each of the numbers. Sunday night, heavy luggage, horrible headache, mobile battery getting low... a real nightmare!
未去之前酒店扣錯數, 無啦啦扣左我兩次錢, 返來之後無啦啦無通知過又扣我錢 D staff 都唔知點做野. 自助 Rubbish check in/out system is 去到check in/out 唔到,又無 Reception 要打去問同攪一大輪野.
