Score from 2021 reviews Very good
Excellent location, large, comfortable room, great bathroom, nice terrace. Short walk to Plaça de Catalunya where the airport bus (Aerobus) stops - one of the three stops in the city. Close to lots of great restaurants. They stored our rental bikes for us in the basement, which was nice since there were intermittent rain showers. We had a terrific stay.
Lovely, comfortable, safe hotel within walking distance of the Sagrada Famila, Casa Mila (also known as La Pedrera), shops, and restaurants. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, especially Alex. Due to time of year, December, we were unable to use the pool.
WiFi desperately needs updating. A full length mirror in the room would have been nice.
Location was great and all the staff really helpful. Very spacious room and the best housekeeping. Even chocolates each nite!
I asked to pay in Euros but they took Aus Dollars instead.
Wanting food late at night. Wow did not expect such service. Excellent. Food not what we we ordered but superb. Cannot wait to return.being so central, fabulous. Entering smell of hotelso floral always, so clean and fresh.
Having to leave. Could have stayed another week.
very nice and kindly stuff cleanroom wide bathroom best location
Lovely rooms. Great staff. Bang in middle of city
Wifi was weak in the room.
From the location on a mostly pedestrian only street close to lovely shops and the Ramblas to the friendly and helpful staff, this hotel is a gem. We can't wait to return.
The location of the hotel was superb, the staff were friendly and helpful whenever needed and upgraded our room which was great! Angel and Jessica on the desk were so friendly.
Right in the center of touristic old town Right in front of the Cathedral Very modern design Very modern nice & clean room Can walk to most touristic attractions Very safe surroundings
Nothing at all
Very nice rooms and terrace pity about the weather
Bar area was a bit uninviting
The hotel was modern with clean fresh lines and visually stunning. From the outside, an old front has been well preserved which fits in with the local architecture and subtly states its business. Our room was excellent, spacious and very comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable and certainly aided a good nights sleep. Our room had a huge terrace with sun loungers, table and chairs and comfortable wicker armchairs and leg rests. The terrace overlooked the City centre where we spent time people watching and enjoying the buskers with a glass of Cava. The staff were all exemplary, nothing was too much trouble and they were all very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. I cant recommend this hotel enough and will certainly be back!
An inconvenience more than didn't like but the room had no drawers to use for the smaller items of clothing.
We stayed at Catalonia Catedral and was extremely impressed with the warmth and hospitality from all the staff at the hotel. The rooms and facilities were very comfortable and stylish. There was a great variety of food at breakfast and the hotel was in an excellent location to the Gothic Quarter and other major cultural attractions. I would definitely come back to Catalonia Catedral. My friends and I, all agreed that it was a perfect place for a city break. Thank you enormously for a really memorable and amazing experience.
The location is grate the staff are very nice and helpull, the room was very comfrtabl
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. Bathroom was full size. Location was perfect for touring the city. The cost of the rooms was quite good for the quality and location.
Just returned from a 2 night break and cannot praise this hotel enough. The rooms are a great size and impeccably clean. The staff were great and very helpful. And the location is superb. A stones throw from the cathedral, las ramblas and shopping all within 5 mins walk.
The only small criticism we could make is the bar area could have been a bit bigger. But then there are plenty of bars so close by... Go and explore!!!
Big room very Clean high quality bad (king size ) location
moderate WiFi reception- lots of disconnects Expensive breakfast Odd elevators
Very pleasant staff (especially Angel), with good responses, providing directions, advices, knowledgeable and kind. Very clean and quiet room. Exceptionally good location in the middle of the old part of city, but close to the central Catalonia plaza. Vicki, Chicago
Wi-fi is is turning itself off every 30 minutes.
Location, service , ambience . Will certainly come again .
This hotel was a lucky find for my 12 day, solo business/personal trip. This is a comfortable, moderately priced hotel with modern amenities, good food, pleasant rooms and a great staff. You can easily walk to everything in the Gothic quarter--Cathedral, Picasso Museum, beach, La Ramblas, La Boqueria, shopping on Porta de L'Angel and Passieg de Gracia. And it is 5 minutes from Pl Catalunya, a major metro stop where I was able to catch a line to Pl Espanya and then another line to the Fira/Europa conference center outside of town. I had a premium room on the 3rd floor overlooking the street. Very quiet when the French doors were closed; with the doors opened I could hear the pleasant sounds of music, people meandering by down in the street below and the church bell. The room was large, even by American standards; bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was expensive but I splurged a few mornings - it was worth it! I also ate dinner at the restaurant one night and thought it was comparable to other restaurants in the area. Speaking of restaurants, there were dozens of great tapas, pinxtos, seafood restaurants and tabernes nearby. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. After 12 days, I got to know all of them well. They were incredibly helpful and attentive and always gave me excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They even humored me every day when I came downstairs and practiced a new Spanish phrase with them. I didn't speak a word of Spanish on arrival but with their help was able to get around town just fine by the time I left :-). Highly recommend for solo business travelers who also have time for some adventure.
One thing - Don't be put off by the hotel lobby which is small and minimalist. Once you get upstairs and see your room, the restaurant/bar and the rooftop pool and terrace, you feel quite at home.
A good business hotel with modern facilities.
Rooftop out of action - no rooftop views or bar. Slow wifi. Would'nt give me a rate for my regular visits.
very helpful staff providing good advice on local restaurants and on purchasing tickets by internet in advance of the visits (Sagarda Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Melia
the swimming pool on the roof was cold (11 november)
Location and great staff
some taxi access but not a real problem
We got an excellent deal through Booking.com for this hotel. We booked it primarily because it was close to where our daughter lives in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona and also its location to the Cathedral and local shopping. Couldn't really fault anything about the hotel. Staff were very polite and helpful. We booked a standard double and the room was large and bright and the bed comfortable. Large bathroom with big bath, two shower heads and fluffy white towels and a small selection of soap, shower gel etc., tea and coffee and a mini bar. The room was at the rear of the hotel and although there was a bar in the street below it was very quiet and we got a good night's sleep. The little chocolates which appeared in the room each night was a nice touch. Enjoyed a drink in the bar but pool was freezing and weather not so good so didn't get a chance to try it!
Prices in bar and restaurant quite steep; had they been a bit more reasonable we probably would have spent more time in it. Also only three coffee sachets and two milks per day in room? odd number for two people and few more would have been nice as it was not possible to have a coffee at night and then another in the morning!
