I booked on their own web, witch was included a water and a bottle of sparkling wine as a complimentary as arrival welcome, Unfortunately was not provided!!
Staff was more than patient in speaking Spanish with me (I'm learning) and in helping with tour and metro advice. Even tightened a screw on my luggagge that I had not noticed.
Great location for Salamanca, convenient for metro. Pleasant staff.
Bathroom red paint chipping off into tub. Dark room.
I had very specific needs and called several times and they were always nice about it, and kept track of the process in a very helpful manner.
Very central, friendly personal
Tatty room, smallish with dark interior in need of updating, depressing. Can't open window, very noisy. Bathroom tiles parcial not clean nor was the glass door, tiles at shower area just painted over, something you could accept in a 2 star hotel. At check-in, no information that a key is needed for the safe, you have to ring reception, they tell you to come down, pick up the key and leave a 20€ deposit!! Never mind that they have credit card details. Absurd. All in all, look around to stay somewhere else.
Excellent staff Good Wi Fi Nice Bar
The location was excellent and the facilities were good although the settee in our suite was uncomfortable. The bed was huge - we needed a search party to find each other- but was also very comfortable and street noise was almost entirely eliminated by the triple glazing.
The entrance is very lack lustre and off putting and doesn't represent the standards in the hotel itself
Good rooms, location, bathroom
Room phone doesn't work, if we need something, everytime we should go from 8 floor down to reception.
After a tour of Spain this was a good hotel to end in. Nice location, close to subway stops. Lots of shopping and nice restaurants very close by. Hotel is convenient, clean , tasteful but not a lot of charm.
room was rather dark, unless you upgrade you look to the inside of the building complex. An additional 18 euro will put you on the outside over the street which will give you more light but also more noise. We just slept there so it was not an issue.
I liked this hotel very much. Excellent location. Staff very very helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money.
Good central location, good quality and plenty of choice for breakfast. Big, comfortable bed and elegant bathroom.
First impression at reception could have been better, room not ready at 1pm. No city map or literature about city available. €6 for a bottle of water and a 200ml coke at the bar! Some staff seemed inexperienced, except restaurant manager and breakfast team who were very nice. Restaurant only offers breakfast, no lunch/dinner. Impossible to find a decent Spanish restaurant within walking distance of the hotel on a Sunday (with availability) only tapas bars. No bottled water, tea or coffee facilities in the room. Hair dryer sucks long hair in from the rear, very unpleasant to use, take your own.
The location was great
The entrance and bar area were not as I expected.
Everything was perfect. I had a great stay here!
I liked everything except for the lack of a functioning WiFi in my room. I stayed in 15 different hotels as I was changing location daily, and it is common for them to advertise WiFi but it doesn't work in practice. The staff were very nice. Lovely hotel due to large room.
Lack of functioning WiFi
Location great, good sized Bedroom & Bathroom (cleaned every day) - gorgeous cafe close-by for Breakfast (amazing pastries & superb coffee!)
thought breakfast supplement was a bit steep @ 16euro - would recommend going out for breakfast instead
Very good location of the hotel, just on the shopping street and very close to some sight seeing, interesting buildings etc.. Hotel was ok, three star rated but I would probably chose another hotel at next visit in Madrid.
I had a room with included breakfast at 16 EUR. The breakfast opening was at 06:30. On my second day where I had to leave hotel early at 07:00, I could not have breakfast as breakfast was closed and delayed until 07:00 this day (due to congress in city)..?? without informing me. I had anyway to pay, got a really poor breakfast-bag to take away. Hotelroom/bathroom did not feel really clean as it was a little shabby. Hotelroom was dark, in braun color with boring view into the backyard.
location comfort of the room
no lobby, strange access.
Good location and decent breakfast
Hairdryer in the bathroom was broken
The staff at breakfast says two words in English and three in Spanish, but this is a problem all over Madrid, even at the airport
service poor, bathroom accident waiting to happen need to jump over bidet to get into shower
Location was excellent
Staff was not very accommodating, room was in the interior so light and privacy was not very good unless black out curtains drawn, cleaning of room needed to be reminded, the bathroom was a hazard where you need to jump over the bidet to get to shower, cabinet door jumped off the track. Would not stay here again.
Location, Location, Location.
To get a exterior room I had to pay 18 euros per night, otherwise I get an interior room, even though I was in August and hotel had a very low occupancy, the head receptionist did not want to give a exterior room, in spite of my gently request, as I told him, i am an hotelier, I know in August is empty Madrid, so be kind to give a exterior room. He said, if want upgrade 18 euros per day. I reply this is not upgrade, is to pay 18 euro in order to have a room with a window to street. The interior room has a little window to a very little yard, and is very very dark, even in summer.I cannot come to this hotel in winter because days are short. I was very disappointed, but I could not cancel on the spot, as the last day to cancel was one day before arrival. This kind of room we call punishment room.So to have exterior room cost 18 euro per night extra. I do not remember room number, was on 9 floor but still a very dark.
Has stayed many times already and as always excellent. The room big enough, nice and comfortable bed and staff very helpful. The location is wonderful in the área of Barrio de Salamanca
Metro outside Close to everything Quality of surroundings Helpful staff Value for money, good quality
Everything. The staff, the location, the room, drinks & food in the bar were reasonably priced. It all made for a very pleasant time in Madrid, If we ever return to Madrid we would definitely stay here again,
