Catalonia Plaza Mayor    

Conveniently located: very close to Plaza Santa Ana (lots of cafes and restaurants) and Plaza Mayor (tourist area). Metro station San Anton is 200m away. Modern hotel for business or families. Friendly staff. Excellent value for money!

The staff was great! We spoke little Spanish but the staff was patient and helpful. I would like to especially like to thank Javier for his great service.

Maid service could use more coaching on cleaning of the bathroom. And their was only one iron for the entire Hotel, that has to change.

A good reception on arrival. The room was very clean, and well presented with a good size bed and immaculate shower room. The towels were of good quality and changed daily. The location was brilliant,

The lack of 'soft' pillows. We requested 2 extra and were given 2 hard bolster type which we didn't want. They said they were full and had no spare soft pillows. One each of too soft a pillow made our necks hurt as did trying to sleep with the hard one.

Good and central city location, friendly, helpful and polite staff, great value for money, ...perfect for every kind of stay in Madrid.

This hotel was really lovely. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the newly updated bathroom and shower were fantastic. The hotel even had English speaking television stations - outside of the news.

Location was excellent for our visit to Madrid and walking distance to most major attractions in the city center. Staff was particularly helpful and friendly.

The cost of the breakfast at 19 Euros per person is too much even by today's city prices, so we passed. Plenty of good cafes in the area, so we had good food at much more reasonable cost.

Finally a stylish Spanish hotel that has overcome the Iberian obsession against pets. You can come to this beautiful and modern hotel with your (small) pet; and to sign just some reasonable terms of responsibility.

There is no parking at the hotel and no special deal with any of the Public Parkings nearby.

Very convenient to all major attractions in Madrid. Easy 10min walk from Madrid Atocha rail-way station. Very clean and modern hotel

No tea making facilities

The rooms in the hotel are very strange. Ours have a very long L-shape corridor which is a bit creepy, and the floor was dirty when we arrived. Also the bottle of bathing gel was very oily. First impression was not good. And when we asked for a double-bed room, the staff at the reception just kept telling us to upgrade our room, which didn't seem friendly to us.

A fantastic hotel highly recommended. I had a beautiful room quiet, spacious and secluded. The staff were helpful and friendly and the facilities including the spa, gym and cafe very good. The breakfast was delicious. The location sensational as you are within walking distance of the Prado, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Sant Ana, Puerta del Sol, the flea market and other popular sites.

Very helpful staff, lovely hotel in the centre of the the city within walking distance of many of the sights. We had a superb room.

A very comfortable spacious room located in an ideal location for exploring Madrid

Luxurious spacious rooms, attentive and friendly staff- with a special mention for Claudia in the bar area. Certainly one of the very best 4 star hotels we have stayed in. Also ,it is centrally located, just yards from a metro stop.

Did not have that much interaction with staff but when I did they were very helpful with the exception of initially did not understand my question regarding the internet signing you off. Add washcloths The internet was terrific however you had to sign on every time you used it. If you stopped typing for a minute you had to re-sign on. Seems as though this was fixed during our stay.

The location is good very near to Metro: Anton Martin and just 5 minutes walk to Plaza Mayor and San Miguel market. Staffs are also very nice and helpful.
