Catalonia Barcelona Plaza  

i was suprise for the very good attitude in the Hotel

We had a comfortable room with a beautiful view of the plaza. The hotel was conveniently located near transportation and restaurants. The reception staff was busy but helpful when we were finally able to speak with them,

The restaurant staff were not welcoming to the point of not acknowledging us as we waited to be seated, They gave the impression that if they ignored us, we might leave and they could go home more quickly. It was frustrating.

Very convenient location with subway and airport bus stops just in front of the hotel. Only a few steps away from a much less touristic part of town. Nice new shopping/restaurant center Las Arenas just across the street (very touristic, though).

Initial supply of bathroom supplies (shampoo, etc) was not replaced/refilled.

Helpful and nice personnel, beautiful room with nice view to Plaza Espanya. Great location; quiet area (no pickpockets around), shopping center, park, restaurants and the fuentes next to the hotel - not to mention the metro station which was practically on the main door.

The Sauna department was quite what we Finns are used to. :-)

Mrs Mariana and Ms Linda at the reception are excellent. The location is nice for city visits.

Some staff at the reception does not belong to this level of a hotel, this staff may be appropriate for a slum hotel. For international visitors, most of the staff is only bodies, because they cant speak a word of english. The rooms never saw a vacuum machine since they were made. The staff believes that room freshner sprayed generously is a substitute for vacuum cleaning.The maintenance of the rooms is horrible, basins are blocked, toilets do not flush... An excellent hotel, being run into the ground by poor house keeping, zero cleaning, and no maintenance - heard of this before? This means the chief is sleeping, nothing else is wrong. If the chief wakes up or if a new one is installed, this hotel will become the best hotel in Barcelona.

It was too much noisy in the morning (rooms cleaning, rooms repairing ect.)

The location is excellent. Close to the airport, has a metro station in front of the hotel. Has free internet.

The worst part was the room. It was not clean at all. I found an empty condom box in the room. One of the water bottles in the room was already opened and was not replaced. A lot of hair in the bathtube. I would not expect such a service from a 4 starts hotel.

The view out onto the Pl. Espanyal was amazing. The hotel is located right next to a Metro stop. It is also located next to the new shopping mall with many good food options.

The mattress was like sleeping on a board. There was no control over the room temperature. We were told that it is either hot or cold. And it was very hot. There is a lot of road noise from the traffic circle out front throughout the night. We left the window open due to the heat. Good thing we had ear plugs.

The hotel was convenient to the Montjuic Fountain and close to Fira Gran Via for the tradeshow. Easy to get around via the metro which is right in front of the hotel.

Unfortunately the internet in the room was not too good as wifi is unstable and not great for business hotel use and had to use wifi at the lobby at very odd hours due to time difference.

Lovely big suite. Great views. Right on Plaza Espana.

Attention to small repairs was lacking. Little things such as inoperative shower head (there were 4); chipped wood; no plug in one of the sinks; loose towel holder. Nothing big but it decreases the overall luxury of the place.
