Just so sad that this lovely hotel only had about five residents when I was there!

We stayed at this hotel the first week in May. Our first impressions were good when we took in the lovely views of Mahon Harbour and the Receptionist offered us an upgraded room on the garden level (incidentally this is the only floor where the rooms have been upgraded.) The WiFi worked perfectly and the staff were courteous and pleasant and tried their best to accommodate our needs within the hotel’s policies.

The weather in Menorca was glorious for the week and coming from a gloomy rainy uk and not being used to the heat, we wanted to turn the air conditioning on for a while to cool the room down but could not get it to work. We then tried the ceiling fan and again could not get this to work. When we informed the Receptionist we were told the air conditioning is not available and the room fans are only provided for decoration and we should open the window! They also had no portable fans in the hotel to offer us when requested. Our room had French doors and was situated on the ground floor, so we would not wish to leave the doors open at night for obvious reasons, so they offered us a room on the third floor with a balcony so we could leave the doors open if need be. This was the only other room on a different floor that had been upgraded. It was clean and functional but the beds were really hard and it was next to the lift so a little noisy. The breakfast was fine if you like fruit, cereal, pastries, bread, cheese and meats but during our stay there wasn’t a chef to prepare any hot food, so there was only a limited choice of powdered scrambled egg and streaky bacon that was mostly like rubber, although the staff did attempt to boil us some eggs when requested. The hotel does not have its own parking, so on a few occasions we found ourselves driving round trying to find a space and can only presume this would present more of a problem later in the season when it’s busier. The pool was advertised as being open from May to October but during our stay the pool was closed and the garden had not been maintained, so probably best to check before you book if swimming is on your agenda! Overall our stay was okay but next time we’ll be going self-catering!

The view from the room is very impresive

İt is hard to find the plae of the hotel. You need to make a strange move with the car to be able to come in front fo the hotel.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Location at the end of the old part of town was good for us as the view over the harbor was of the commercial shipping part.Being at one end of the harbor we were some distance from the yacht and pleasure craft end and the concentration of harbor side restaurants.

Nothing to dislike. The somewhat noisy location went along with the appeal of watching the commercial activity.

The hotel was very pleasant to stay in, and in a great location for Mahon town centre and the bus station, where you can go all over the island. The breakfast and dinner were nice and restaurant has great views over the harbour. Also the garden and pool very pleasant to sit in, as well as the jacuzzi in the fitness suite. Room was nice, had a good fan, and well cleaned every day. Overall a nice hotel that I was pleased to stay in.

The hotel is near a residential area, and for a few evenings dogs were barking constantly. Some youths would also gather nearby but the hotel is secure and to be honest the above issues are outwith the hotel's control.

Es hotel la verdad que muy bien,tanto el personal como la limpiesa el desayuno...todo.Estamuy bien ubicado tiene unas vistas preciosas al puerto que es nada mas abrir la ventana,las recepcionistas muy amables contigo en todo tanto imformacion como opiniones de restaurantes etc.Vale la pena.

La comida del hotel da mucho que desear y en las habitaciones hay algunos pequeños fallos como son marcas de manos sucias en las paredes, grifos duros, bañera con defectos de cerámica.

El personal del hotel es muy, muy amable. El hotel está situado en el lugar perfecto para hacer una visita al casco antiguo de Mahón a pie. Las vistas al puerto desde la habitación son inmejorables.

Quizás la iluminación en el cuarto de baño deja un poco que desear. Las camas eran algo duras, aunque no muy incómodas. Aún así, volvería a este hotel sin dudarlo.

Estuve en este hotel en Invierno. Hacia mucho viento y frio, por lo que por la noche me molestaba mucho unos ruidos que hacia el viento fuera del hotel, y la calefaccion no terminaba de calentar bien la habitacion.

Hôtel vieillot très bien situé mais dont il faudrait rénover les chambres, notamment les salles de bain et les équipements tels que les télévisions, sèche-cheveux...
