Catalonia Plaza Mayor Salamanca  

The location on the street parallel to the main plaza is excellent. The public parking garage they use is a 3 minute direct walk. Because of one- way streets, it's not a direct drive. Parking in front of the hotel to unload luggage, check-in, and get directions works well. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was large and very comfortable.

The breakfast was 11euros per person per day on bookings.com. We didn't include it when we booked. At the hotel, it was 7.50 euros per person per day. We think that is still overpriced. From our experience, breakfast is usually 6 euros. The wi-fi clearly didn't work in our room even though they insisted it did. Wi-fi did work in the lobby if we first connected with the hotel website and then entered id and password. My iphone said their server was not secure. I was never able to automatically connect to my email, even in the lobby.

Close to Plaza Mayor

No double rooms. Just adapted twins.

The location is excellent. We had a very small room but also a large balcony to sit out on. Breakfast price was reduced by about 1/4 so was good value and the buffet choice was good too. We had laundry done which took a very short time.

There was a whiff of drains in our room from time to time.

location was great don,t miss the plaza lite up at night...a must. breakfast 11 euros a little much with kids. if you eat at the plaza pay attention to the prices...plaza sitting more then inside.

Friendly, helpful and kind staff Lovely rooms

The hotel has a great location, close to the Plaza Mayor and the historic center of the city. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. At the same time, I found it generally quiet, though loud neighbors in the hall are often a problem in many hotels. I thought the buffet breakfast was good. I found the staff cordial and helpful.

The hotel is really close to the beautiful Playa Mayor but despite that, and the fact that it was a holiday weekend and there was a live band playing on a temporary stage in the square, the room was very comfortable, the soundproofing was fantastic and we slept really well. Good value for money too at €85 per night for the city centre too - you'd pay that for a Travelodge in a city in the UK and this hotel is much better than that.

Would say it is a 3*+ rather than a 4* hotel (e.g. shower gel and hair drayer available but no shampoo or moisturiser) and had wanted a double room but there were two large singles pushed together rather than a double bed - but really that's just nit-picking.

Hotel is located just behind of Plaza Mayor, but this doesn't mean noisy. Room is very wide.

Large room with large, comfy beds. Good sized bathroom with both shower and bath. Massive balcony with good sun access and privacy from surrounding buildings

the hotel is well located close to the Plaza Mayor but at the same time the rooms are well insulated and well appointed. good restaurants close by and the staff more than helpful.

be careful as the rate quoted for parking is not the rate asked for by the parking station associated with the hotel. we had to pay an additional 22euro for 2 nights on top of the 13euro per night we paid to the hotel.
