Catalonia Plaza Mayor Salamanca    

Location, ~ 50 m frm Plaza Mayor. in addition I happen to have the best located room in the entire hotel ( no 501) . It was a corner room with a large balcony, on top (5th) floor; above the surrounding buildings with splendid view of the Old Town and the night illumination of the Plaza Mayor

Nothing really, except perhaps what sounded like a pump occassionally making slight noise. But it may have been coming from one of the surrounding buildings.

Excellent location ... friendly staff ... nice rooms and accomodations ... good value ...

Air Conditioner did not work ...

The Concierge was very pleasant and helpful. The heating was effective, the room was comfortable, and we liked being so close to the Plaza Mayor.

The noisy tourists arriving/departing at 5.30 a.m. - and their inconsideration as they went down the corridor.

It has a location that was perfect and the staff were excellent.

The heating/ac did not work in room 212 so I had to keep opening the windows to cool the room down.

Location - first class, plus very comfortable with a decent sized room to lounge in for a few days(not that we were in it much)

Its location is superb, within easy access of the Plaza Mayor.

Difficult to find, even with a GPS, but Salamanca is such a magnificent city it is worth all the trouble involved.

Description, sympathy

The water of the bathroom,never works good, I mean sometimes too,too warm and some times too cold. AT THE SHWOER YOU CAN HAVE AN UNPLESANT SURPRISE.

Location Quiet

The breakfast advertisements in the lift were not realised in the restaurant. The quality of food was poor and the selection limited.

Location, quiet aircon. a bath!

Wifi didn't work and staff were incapable of helping resolve it.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Situated right in the middle of the beautiful city surrounded with retaurants and tapas bars. Fabulous squares and buildings.We only stayed for bed and breakfast but both were excellent and great value. We will book again when passing through Salamanca.

A little difficult to find but when found, glad that it's location was so central. Friendly staff parked and retrieved our car for us.

Great access to down town - only 2 min

No internet access, ugly and cold breakfast with no correlation to the price, rooms a little bit too small, poor view when window opened. For me this hotel should have 3 stars instead of 4.

Very hospitable staff and knowledgeable about things to do In the area. Nice spacious and clean rooms. Prompt laundry service and an excellent breakfast buffet!

Nothing perfect!

This hotel is perfect for city visiting. The place is also safe for staying with children. Everything (historic monuments, restaurants, shops) is situated within 1 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are big (4th floor), clean, well equipped. Personnel is friendly and helpful.

The abscence of sonorisation of the room doors. It is really annoying to listen the loud conversations of the tourists going for breakfast and coming back around 7 am in the corridor. Also, for the people who care about a view from the room, the rooms 407 and 408 are to avoid as they view the windows of some other building situated one meter from the hotel one. But it was not a criteria for us that time.

We were on our Honeymoon and could not have choosen a better place to stay. The hotel was near the major sites, a 10 minute walk to the Atocha Train station, near lots of restuarants and near the metro....The staff was friendly and the Breakfast was great. The price was awesome considering the hotel's location.

I would say that need a rewards program.

The location is excellent, right at the Plaza Mayor, but very quiet. The staff are very professional and friendly. Very good Wi-Fi signal strength. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable.

Wonderful location near Plaza Mayor, as well as large, comfortable rooms. Very quiet at night despite being so close to "the action".

Just round the corner from the Plaza Mayor, in the centre of Salamanca. Excellent sightseeing, city centre amenities and restaurants all around.
